A wonderfully thought out book. Illustrations are spot on and eye-catching. Great way to learn how to correctly study the Bible and develop a prayer life. Adults ought to consider using this book too because many adults never learned how to develop a strong spiritual life. Think the explanations are good ideas and get anyone reading it to really slow down and think about what you are reading, doing, thinking when it comes to studying the Bible. The author adds a few historical people to this book that is risky in that he did not (at least) elevate them to the point it could be considered religious. At least that part is minimal. Other than that I thoroughly enjoyed and agree with the ideas of how to approach a healthy spiritual life. Very intense and wonder if a young person would really follow the suggestions as most adults probably would not. But this is a book is more like a journal to be used every day and not a one and done. Highly recommend it.
I received a free copy of this book from NetGalley and am voluntarily leaving my review.

Thanks to NetGalley for the review copy.
The cartoons, short biographies, and spiritual practices are spot on.
Honestly, I think this should be redone with an adult audience in mind as well. You could call it “How to be a Mystic” with a few side cartoons with some snark and a dash of adult oriented questions occasionally. This would make a great starter for confirmation or before a Tween groups enters the Jr/Sr High Youth Group. Solidly organized.

A great resource to explain how a person can have a imitate relationship with God and speak to him often. As an adult, I gained knowledge from this book and believe it is for all ages even though it is aimed at the young.

A sincere thank you to John Murray Press US | Hodder Faith and NetGalley for giving me the opportunity to read the advance reader copy, with no obligation to write a review. My review is written freely as a hobby, and is totally my own opinion, not influenced by receiving the ARC.
