Grab a cup of matcha and let yourself be immersed in this magical teashop.
Grace has just moved back to Lavender Hollow after breaking off her engagement, so finding a job with Yuji at the teashop Matcha Made in Heaven seems like a good way to immerse herself in something new. When she finds herself entangled in the town's drama, it seems that strange things happen when she serves her matcha.
I absolutely love this wave of cozy fantasy books that are coming out, and The Magical Matcha Teashop fits in perfectly.
Grace and Max are both extremely likeable main characters who are just trying their best to find out what's truly right for them. The chemistry is sizzling hot, and you'll be wishing for a visit to Lavender Hollow after finishing the last page.
Told with heart, and delicious teashop treats, you'll be devouring this book in no time...hopefully with a cup of calmly made matcha right beside you.

I loved this book, I devoured this so fast I couldn't put it down! The writing style is really enjoyable, I had so much fun with the charecters, and the small town setting definitely made it. The dash of magical realism is perfect such an enjoyable read! Highly recommend. 4.5 stars
It is such a wonderful, cozy story. A small-town romance mixed with soft magic, warmth, and that familiar hum of community life filled with both gossip and genuine care. From early on, the book draws you into a world of hope and quiet transformation.
Grace and Max are both navigating their own struggles, and I loved how their journeys unfold naturally. Their relationship builds slowly through both sweet and difficult moments, making it feel real and earned. Grace’s character growth was especially lovely to read, watching her evolve from someone lost and uncertain into a confident, kind, and grounded woman.
And the final chapters… let’s just say they were incredible, with just the right touch of steam. Grace and Max truly felt like a match made in heaven.
If you’re in the mood for something cozy, romantic, and a little magical, this one is definitely for you.

I absolutely loved this book, it’s a cosy read; a small town romance with magic which is fast becoming one of my favourite genres. It was exactly what I needed to read, and I was hooked from the start!
I love the FMC and MMC, the community of Lavender Hollow and their stories that are told. This was a sloooow burn romance, but the best kind! I especially liked the explanation and bits of history/tradition about preparing and making matcha!

This was such a cute and cosy read. From the very first page the author's writing had me hooked and I kept reading until the end as I wanted to know what happened. I loved the small town place setting in the story and the Matcha Made In Heaven teashop sounded cute and cosy. I loved Grace's character and I wanted her to have the happy ending that she deserved. This was the perfect spring time read. I highly recommend it and I look forward to reading more by the author.

A lovely, cosy romance and the perfect palate cleanser.
This book has what it says on the tin: a promise of a cosy, sweet and easy book to read.
The characters are cute, very likeable and just perfect for a story like this - same goes with the setting. It was lovely to read, didn't feel boring or repetitive - the perfect book to read in between longer/heavier ones.
It will make you crave a good matcha, so would recommend having one handy :)
Iwas thrilled to receive an ARC copy of this novel from NetGalley and One More Chapter in exchange for an honest review.
This story follows Max and Grace and honestly, it had a little bit of everything I love in a book—new beginnings, romance, a touch of the paranormal, some spice, and a whole cast of quirky small-town characters. It all comes together beautifully, building to a genuinely emotional and satisfying ending (yes, there were a few tears!).
The dynamic between Max and Grace really pulled me in, and I found myself completely invested in their journey. The writing felt warm and engaging, making it an easy, immersive read that I flew through in just two days.
It has a slightly different vibe compared to the author’s other novels (which I’ve also really enjoyed), but I absolutely loved this direction and thought it worked so well.
A heartfelt, feel-good read with just the right mix of magic and emotion—definitely one I’d recommend.
Everything was so perfect about this. The small town vibes where everyone knows each other was SO GOOD!! Max is so hot, like what do you mean he owns half of lavender hollow AND had a boat??? and omg im obsessed with grace and her erratic ways. Kudos to Natasha for getting the matcha making perfected and accurate 🤣 this had all the cosy cute vibes and I ate it up!!

When Grace’s entire world implodes, she finds herself right back home. With her mom and dad. Yikes! After leaving her big corporate job, rich boyfriend, and instagram curated-perfect life just weeks before her wedding (with a too expensive custom dress to prove it) she cleans off the Doritos dust and goes in search of a job in her little hometown, Lavender Hollow. After too many rejections, she ends at the last shop on the street, Matcha Made In Heaven. The place is quiet with few customers, but the tranquility is a balm to her aching heart. She feels a pull to stay there, but what’s pulling her, exactly?
Grace meets new friends,Yuji the shop owner, the resident baker, Abigail, and her brother, the bookshop owner, Max. Max is handsome, a little nerdy, and going through big transitions of his own.
Learning to embrace her own new talents and to open herself up to new people and possibilities we journey with Grace to enjoy the everyday magic.
This book was a pleasant journey from start to end. I love the small town romance, the cozy tea shop, and a town full of fun residents to get to know. The magic starts small and grows into something unique and wonderful. The stakes feel real and relevant, when a franchise coffee shop moves in across the street, how will they save their little slice of local peace?
I loved the dive into Grace’s world, how she must rebuild her life with the pressures of family expectation, financial responsibilities, and not falling for the cycles of her past. She learns to trust again, to be cautious of manipulation but also not to push people away before knowing the truth. This journey of discovery is relevant to so many people, feeling too much and not enough for the person you love. Feeling worthy or deserving to receive what you’ve been given in life. Many of us have felt imposter syndrome or like we don’t deserve our partner, or have a partner that makes us feel less than them. This book is a sweet reminder that we must find our own self-worth, we must grow beyond that and accept the life that brings joy and peace.
I found the magical elements very unique. The setting is modern day England, in the fictional town of Lavender Hollow. When little peculiar things begin happening at the tea shop whenever Grace makes matcha, we start to see the magic come alive and impact those around her- for better or worse. While there are cell phones and K-Pop Demon Hunters references, we also get the space to step away from the hustle and bustle and enjoy a moment of serenity, and find a slice of magic tucked away.
Tropes: grumpy/sunshine (my personal favorite), small town romance, found family
Number of Times I Wanted to Throw the Book Across the Room: Twice!
Did the Book Pass the “One More Chapter” Test?: Absolutely! I couldn't wait to see what would happen next, and what new secrets would come out.
Number of Emotional Roller Coasters: 2 big ones, for sure!
Perfect snack pairing: A strawberry matcha latte, and a chocolate cupcake.
Character I Would Most Like to Have a Drink With: Abigail, I want all the town tea, and who she’s scheming to matchmake next.
Quote that perfectly sums up the main characters relationship: “Anything is possible… But whatever you decide, you’re not alone in this Grace. Not anymore.”
Level of spice: 3/5 , some tension throughout and open door.
Unique bits I love: I love all of the history on Japan and matcha, the magical and whimsical elements are so fun.

This was described as The Pumpkin Spice Cafe meets The Lost Bookshop and it definitely is. This story is set in a cute village called Lavender Hollow where the main character Grace is from. She leaves London to go back home after breaking off her engagement. She goes back home to start again. You fall in love with the characters especially Yuji. Such a nice cosy romance where all the community comes together..
Thanks to the author and One More Chapter (HarperCollins UK) for the gifted e-book!
This was an easy 5 stars for me, pure cozy magic. Set in the dreamy little town of Lavender Hollow, the story follows Grace as she returns home after calling off her wedding and leaving her old life behind. What she finds instead is a charming teashop, new friendships, and a fresh start that feels like spring blooming all around her.
The connection between Grace and Yuji is so soft and sweet, and I loved watching her learn the art of crafting matcha drinks, even as someone who doesn’t like matcha. This book made it feel magical anyway. There’s something really special about how she creates drinks tailored to each person, like tiny cups of comfort and care.
Grace’s journey, especially as she works through her past and opens her heart again, felt genuine and quietly powerful. It’s one of those stories that wraps around you like a warm breeze and doesn’t let go.
If you loved The Pumpkin Spice Café, you’ll absolutely adore this. It gave me the same cozy, whimsical charm but with a fresh, floral, springtime glow.
Thanks to @natashabache_author and @onemorechapterhc for the generous #gifted e-book!
This enchanting cozy novel set in the charming small town of Lavender Hollow is truly a magical read. I was captivated by Grace, a relatable character returning home after ending her wedding and quitting her job, seeking self-discovery. What she uncovers is a picturesque teashop, new friendships, and the possibility of love.
The blossoming relationship between Grace and Yuji, the teashop owner, was heartwarming. Under Yuji's guidance, Grace learns to become an alchemist, crafting matcha drinks that sound irresistible. I loved how she discovers her true calling, creating personalized drinks for each customer. The vivid descriptions of Lavender Hollow perfectly capture the appeal of small-town charm.
Grace’s journey with Max was beautifully portrayed, as they worked through their pasts to find closure and embrace a new beginning. Their transition from friendship to love felt genuine and heartfelt.
If you enjoy magical stories that draw you in and keep you hooked, this book is a must-read. It’s available now, don’t miss out on this delightful, enchanting adventure.

Oh how I adored this story! The magical Matcha Teashop is one of the loveliest books I have read so far this year.
Grace and Max were great characters with real life problems and then the sprinkling of magical realism really made this a special read for me . The perfect cosy read
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 stars, sweet, whimsical and a lot of fun.
The magical matcha tea shop feels like Dream Harbour infused with a touch of magic. This book had everything I love in a small town romance and everything I love about cosy fantasy books all packed into one. I read this in a single afternoon.
I really liked Grace and Max, their dynamic was sweet and they were both likeable (mostly). I liked the small town side characters and the chaos causing cat, Maow. I loved Yuji, he was so kind to Grace, I would absolutely work for him.
Only downside to this book was it made me want cake!
