Description

An old friend. A new case to solve. And missing college kids to find.

The call comes at 7:07 on the seventh day of the seventh month. Private investigator Cooper Malone immediately recognizes the voice of a man who had a star on his shoulder when Coop was in the army, his mentor, General John Overby.

Now retired, the general needs Coop's help. On the Fourth of July, his college-aged granddaughter and two of her friends went missing from a Key Largo beach. Not that the cops are too interested. The same evening, a murder took place on the same beach. Three college girls who may have gone partying are not high on their list of priorities.

Coop takes the case. Not everyone is on board. Two other families are involved. Tempers flare early and often. That won't stop Coop from doing whatever it takes to help the man to whom he owes much of his career. The prospect of failure haunts him. He must find the missing women before it's too late.

From the author of Blunt Force comes a second novel in the Cooper Malone series.

Fans of James Patterson and Lee Child are sure to love the grit Fractured brings in this hard-boiled mystery set in Key Largo, Florida, where the clock is ticking, and lives are on the line.

I was thrilled to get accepted to read this book, took me longer to write this review as I’m new to NetGalley
Fractured is a solid entry in the modern mystery/thriller genre it’s ideal for readers who want a gritty detective story with a ticking clock and plenty of suspense. I found myself constantly wanting to know what happens next, it’s very well written and a complete page turner. Will be looking forward to seeing more from this author.

I had no idea this book was the second one of this series -- I'm not even sure you would call it a series -- but I'm definitely going to read the first one.

This is hands down one of the best crime mystery books I have read in a long time.

I couldn't put it down and I just love the main character Coop. He's funny and smart and everything you want in a PI.

I had my suspicions and I liked that I was both wrong and right at the same time. This kept me guessing and doubting myself and it payed off.

Just to say this, I normally don't like thrillers that are slanted more towards the view of a Private Eye/law enforcement/military stand, but I was given a chance to read an ARC copy of this book. I must admit when I started reading it my expectations were that I didn't think I would get through it but I decided to keep going and let's just say wow, this ended up being a 5 star read for me. If you already like those type of thrillers you will love this book and if you are like me give it a chance because you will love it too! I found it fast paced, interesting, and I loved the characters especially the main character Cooper Malone and his co-workers. Three girls disappear at the beginning and its up to Cooper Malone and his co-workers to find them and find out how and why it happened. There is also a murder at the beginning of another woman that ends up having a connection to the three girls disappearances. . It has twists and turns. It has villains and good guys. I loved the problem solving skills. Thoroughly enjoyed the story!
