In this fun and detail-packed picture book for kids ages 3-6, the workers of Breezy Valley bring their tools and trucks to tackle the big job of building a new library. After site prep, digging and laying the foundation, and framing, the tradespeople come in to take care of wiring, piping, painting, and more. What a super duper cute book.
It reminded me of all the Richard scarry books we grew up with.
This is a must for all your big truck fan littles
My 3 year old construction and book obsessed son loved this book about a construction crew building a library! And I loved it too. It is packed with story and facts, and fun little tidbits to find. This is one you can return to time and time again. Reminds me a bit of Richard Scarry.

I was given the opportunity to read and review an ARC from Netgalley.
As a teacher-librarian at a public school that has all reading levels --from emerging readers to university bound students--I am constantly looking for appropriate content that will interest my readers. I am especially interested in any connection to STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art and math) that can happen. This book did not disappoint.
The illustrations reminded me of the Richard Scary books that I used to read as a child. The Breezy Valley characters were fun and the explanations were not only easy to follow, but also accurate with information. I love the variety of text features used: maps, scaled drawings, captions and illustrations.
I love the fact that the construction crew was building a library and that the library included a Makerspace and Teen area.
I plan to purchase this for my library collection and look at more of R.W. Alley’s work for our collection.
