Most important thing first the art in this comic was phenomenal! Before reading this I didn’t know an awful lot about Hindu mythology maybe a couple of names of different gods, this at times they make following the story a little bit difficult but if you can push through the occasional confusion, it is well worth it.

Beautiful telling of Krishna's journey, from his birth and childhood to his guidance of Arjuna. The storytelling has quite a poetic undertone I enjoyed a lot. But, of course, the highlight of this graphic novel are the drawings. Amazing in colours and textures, with a sense of personal style who rendered really well the tale it wanted to tell.
I really have to emphasize the use of colours and the sense of place and atmosphere they allowed to create.

Really happy to have gotten the chance to read this 15th anniversary edition!

This graphic novel was beautiful. The story was melodic and transportive, I felt so immersed in the plot and following Krishna’s journey. Not only are the words lyrical, the artwork was breathtaking. It serves the story so well, the surreal and whimsical art style does an excellent job transporting you and experiencing a whole new world. I enjoyed this a lot!

The epic tale of Krishna's journey from birth to death told in a dynamic and unique art style and poetic dialogue. I really enjoyed this book! I was not very familiar with the story of Krishna, and I feel like this story does a good job of giving me the important details while also keeping my attention with gorgeous visuals and dynamic fight sequences. The different use of colors between Krishna's peaceful moments and the battles he participates in is very immersing. When Krishna is playing music or spending time with his lover and friends, the scenes are filled with calming blues and greens, but when he is engaged in militaristic actions or battles the colors are mainly reds, oranges, and yellows. Using the colors like this really shows the stark lines in Krishna's journey.

I think this is a great introduction to Krishna and Hindu mythology, and is entertaining for people just wanting an epic graphic novel with beautiful art.

I just finished KRISHNA: A Journey Within, and it completely captivated me from the very first page to the last. This graphic novel is visually breathtaking. The artwork is simply outstanding........you become so immersed in every panel that you lose yourself in the story.
I sincerely thank the author and publisher for giving me the opportunity to experience such remarkable artwork. Every illustration feels thoughtfully crafted and adds depth to Krishna's journey.
What I appreciated most was the way Krishna's story unfolds, from his childhood to the defining moments of his life. The storytelling flows beautifully, making it engaging for both graphic novel lovers and readers interested in Indian mythology.
Overall, this is a stunning blend of art and storytelling. If you enjoy graphic novels with beautiful illustrations and meaningful narratives, I highly recommend giving this one a read. You should definitely enjoy it till last.......

What a beautiful book! The illustrations and depiction of Krishna, Mahabharata and parts of Hindu mythology are absolutely breathtaking. The book is a short poetic accessible insight into the life and philosophy of Krishna. Abhishek Singh does a phenomenal job of giving a modern accessible lens to an ancient epic.

"The game of duality had begun. Good and evil. Love and hate. Light and dark. Life and death. The forces of life coexist, internally and externally in a delicate balance."

"This Shakti inside you is transcendental energy, also known as atman. Neither created nor destroyed. It permeates through every atom in existence. Cycling through many bodies in search for the parmatman. When huh are able to open your mind to see this shark you will not agonize over death."

I was interested in reading this comic as I have a love of myths and legends but not much experience of Krishna and his life.
I am so glad I took the plunge as this book is a beautiful work of art and it didn't matter that I was unfamiliar with the texts it is based on.
The story follows Krishna through his life with stories from his childhood and adulthood.
As soon as I had finished reading I looked up Abhishek Singh as I had not come across his work before and wanted to see more of his wonderful art.
Each panel of this comic was a feast for the eyes with Singh's portrayal of animals and nature connecting particularly strongly with me.
I will be buying a physical copy of this when it is published.

My goodness, the art in this book is stunning. So much so that it's a bit distracting from the actual text of the story, and I found myself going back to reread several pages more than once after getting lost in the beauty of the painting.

Gorgeous imagery. Beautiful storytelling. The story flowed like water. It was nice to see peace as well as conflict as the two could not be avoided when the time arose. This is to be experienced in a physical medium. The colors will surely shine.
I adored the art rough drafts at the end. To see the artistic thinking and creation of the story is always something I appreciate in comics. There is a glossary at the end as well that is truly helpful to expanding the story.

This book is just a wonderful trip to Indian mythology! The ilustrations are incredibly detailed and coloured in such a way that they really draw you in to the story.
The colour palette is impecable. I was actually fascinated by the variety of styles used in various places.

The story is extremely condense so if you are just dipping your toes in Indian mythology this is a good place to start. But if you are more knowledgeable, this book will bring a smile to your face as the art is just incredible.
Highly recommend for all ages, a perfect gift for an anyone really.

This book potraits the major events of Krishna's life. We get to experience the life of Krishna from birth till death through beautiful artwork. Every page of this book could be framed; it is so beautiful to look at. The writing was crisp and to the point. Sometime the dialogue reach a poetic style and that add more jewels to the crown of this book.

Just give it a try, you will be mesmerized by the artwork!

Gorgeous art, really stunning graphics. I appreciate how smooth the flow of the story is, how it goes from pastime to pastime. The language is also really beautiful. I can see myself rereading this again someday. A very nice graphic novel for anyone interested in deepening their relationship with Krishna.
