Three Reasons for Revenge had me completely hooked. Fast paced, twisty and full of secrets that kept me guessing the whole way through.

Every time I thought I had it figured out… I didn’t 👀

I loved this one! This is Dervla McTiernan at her best! I have read all of Dervla’s previous books and my all time favourites of hers are The Ruin and The Scholar, and this one is right up there with those.

The story starts with Judith, a Detective in Melbourne, investigating the sexual assault of a young woman by a respected psychologist. The case takes a deadly twist. Three gifts are received by the psychologist, a struggling single father and a socialite, in acts of revenge intended to destroy the life of each victim. Judith has to discover the connection between the victims and herself gets caught up in the game of revenge.

Dervla is so good at building suspense - it is hard not to get engaged in the story and want to keep picking this up.

I also love a book based in my hometown of Melbourne!

If you enjoy twisty crime thrillers with strong characters and plenty of suspense, this one is definitely worth picking up.

A fantastic, twist-filled thriller that completely hooked me.

This was a real page-turner from start to finish. The story moves at a gripping pace, with plenty of twists that kept me guessing and constantly wanting to read just one more chapter. It had me on the edge of my seat the whole way through.

Dervla McTiernan is such a fantastic author, and this book is another brilliant example of her ability to craft a compelling, fast-paced storyline filled with tension and surprises.

A thoroughly enjoyable read and an easy five stars from me. Highly recommended for fans of twisty, edge-of-your-seat thrillers.

I devoured this book—it had me hooked from the very first page—and I was delighted to find it set in Australia. (Now we just need Dervla to write one set in Perth!) The story follows Judith, a Melbourne detective who begins investigating a sexual assault report made by a young woman named Alexis Turner. Alexis claims she was attacked by respected psychologist Robert Walker, but when Judith attempts to follow up, Alexis has disappeared—and there’s no trace she ever existed.
Not long after, three mysterious parcels begin appearing, each with devastating consequences for their recipients. As the fallout unfolds, Judith—tough, pragmatic, haunted by her past, and who I found incredibly likeable—races to uncover how the victims are connected and what lies behind the three reasons for revenge.
Fast paced, full of suspense, and packed with twists, this thriller kept me guessing right to the end. I thoroughly enjoyed it and highly recommend it.

Dervla has knocked it out of the page with her latest offering Three Reasons for Revenge. This book has it all, plot twists, suspense, red herrings and all of these arrive in no particular order. No one is safe and it makes for an edge of your seat thrill ride. I could not put this book down and ploughed through in just a few sittings.

Kicking off with Dervla's latest protagonist Detective Judith, a kick arse, take no prisoners cop that is faced with a case that has haunted her for ten years. It is now time for her to redeem herself which unleashes all kinds of craziness. Strange packages, unreliable storylines, unlikable characters, this book has it all. Oh and did I mention some nice little sub plots that kept things very busy for Judith.

The Melbourne setting was dynamite as I knew all the places and could visualize them while I was reading. The storyline was so well developed and the characters woven in perfectly to create a heart pounding thriller of the highest level.

A big 5 stars for this one, thanks to NetGalley and Harper Collins Australia for this early reading copy it was a ripper!

Wow! What a story! I was hooked from the start and couldn’t put it down. Judith was a fantastic lead character and really kept the story and suspense going as you wanted to know what she was thinking and how her police brain worked things out, with her own history influencing her decisions. I liked that it was set around three strangers and how their storyline came together. Really hoping a follow up book isn’t far away!!
