Description
He's forgotten their love story. She'll help him write a new one.
Jackson and Kate have been happily married for over ten years and live a beautifully chaotic life raising two young children on Wells Ranch. But when Jackson sustains a severe head injury that sends him into a coma, years of his memory are gone by the time he wakes. Doctors are confident they will return with time, but Jackson feels like a stranger in his own life. How can he have a wife and children but not know them?
Kate tries to remain strong for her family, but she secretly mourns the loss of the man she knew and fears he may never return. She leans on her Wells Ranch family, who she needs now more than ever. It's scary and difficult, but she won't give up on Jackson and their love, no matter how long it takes.
Despite early struggles, Kate and Jackson share tender moments that stir something in Jackson, even though he doesn't fully understand it. As more time passes, bits and pieces of Jackson's memories return, and he starts slowly rediscovering his instincts as a husband and dad. And though Jackson and Kate's love story may need a rewrite, they'll come to discover this new chapter might just be stronger than all the ones that came before.

Love Wells Kept was the perfect conclusion to the Wells Ranch series and a beautiful full-circle moment for the Wells family.
From the very beginning, my heart was shattered by the devastating loss of Jackson. I found myself emotional from the first chapters, grieving alongside the family and feeling the weight of their heartbreak. Bailey Hannah captured that pain so beautifully, making every emotion feel raw and authentic.
What made this story so special was watching a second-chance love unfold between two people who never truly stopped loving each other. Through grief, healing, and new beginnings, their journey back to one another felt genuine, heartfelt, and incredibly moving. Their love story was a reminder that sometimes the greatest love isn’t about finding someone new—it’s about finding your way back to the person who has always held your heart.
This book was filled with everything I’ve come to love about the Wells Ranch series: family, loyalty, healing, romance, and that wonderful found-family dynamic that makes these characters feel so real. Saying goodbye to the Wells brothers was bittersweet, but Bailey Hannah gave them the ending they deserved.
I loved this series so much that I immediately pre-ordered my copy to complete the collection on my bookshelf. If you’re looking for a beautifully written cowboy romance series filled with heart, family, and unforgettable love stories, the Wells Ranch series is a must-read.
Thank you to the author for the ARC. This was a beautiful and emotional ending to a series I’ll never forget
First of all, this was one of my most anticipated reads for 2026 and I was so excited to start it. From the first page until the end I did not want to put it down, and loved every minute of how the story progressed. It was a great ending to a fabulous series and it left me feeling emotional and satisfied when it was over. This series is best read in order because I don’t think you would have had the same feeling and appreciation for Kate and Jackson’s solid and loving marriage otherwise.
We get right into the action from the start and see immediately what causes the major conflict between the spouses for the story. Having invested in these characters from book one, I almost felt like I was right beside Jackson’s hospital bedside with Kate, worrying over him. Bailey Hannah does such a good job of showing that Jackson doesn’t know his wife due to his brain injury, but he still clearly feels safe and comforted around her and can’t help be drawn to her. I loved that his brain knew deep down somewhere that this woman was his.
Jackson is such a quiet and calming presence. When he speaks it means something. There were sparks at times of his old self and that made me happy for Kate. It was difficult to see him struggle to connect with his kids and I loved when he finally accepted that new memories were going to be the foundation of his relationship with his entire family. I can’t imagine being married to someone who doesn’t remember you, and I think the author was amazing at showing us Kate’s grief and anger and hopefulness.
There is such a great family dynamic with the Wells brothers. Life goes on and ranch work never stops but they rallied around the family center that Jackson is. Seeing all of them with families warmed my heart and how it ends made me tear up. Chase “Red” Thompson has always been a favourite of mine so I loved his appearances here and he gets what he happily deserves.
Thank you to Bailey Hannah, Penguin Random House Canada and NetGalley for an advanced copy of this book for review. All opinions are my own.
