This was such a sweet, emotional romance! 🥹 I loved the chemistry between the characters and all the little moments that made their relationship feel so genuine. It had just the right amount of angst, romance, and swoony moments to keep me turning the pages. 💗

I love this unique rom-com set in the world of stunt doubling and movie magic. Mavis is such a well-fleshed out character and I felt fully immersed in her story, and her emotional journey with Fox. The stakes for the two of them felt high as the filming of their movie became more and more complicated due to escalatingly dangerous mishaps which put not only their hearts, but their lives on the line. I couldn’t stop reading; I needed to know what happened next!

Engel is a rom-com master, and her sophomore novel only levels up her expertise! She will be an auto-buy author for me forever! Do yourself a favor and preorder now!

Thank you to Net Galley and St Martins Press for the ARC of this title! I LOVED this book! It was so fun and well written! I really enjoyed her first book but this one was even better! Two stunt doubles who fall for one another…. Yes! Sign me up! Mavis is terrified of going back into stunts but does it for her best friend. And of course she has to work along side Fox, the guy she had a fling with years ago. The tension in this one was so good! I finished this one in one sitting. It was so bingable!

I am completely enamored with this book. I was instantly hooked by the premise. I mean come on: Hollywood stunt doubles on a Wild West vampire flick! As someone who loves film and the inner workings of filming a movie, it was super cool to see this refreshing perspective. So many moments had me giggling and smiling like a fool! I adored Fox and his constant need to playfully tease Mavis. Not to mention- he was always her biggest supporter!

This is a second chance romance - which is usually not something I gravitate to. But the author knocks it out of the park with this story! It’s a great slow-burn with just the right amount of tension. (And whew, those steamy moments!) Aside from the cute romance, this story is also about personal growth and acceptance.

This book quickly became my favorite read of the year! (P.S. We so need a book with Vanessa’s story!)


Fade to black

This book was so special to me!! Fox and Mavis work so hard for their HEA and watching them discover it and find their way back together was an absolute treat.

I couldn't stop giggling and laughing and squealing at this one. I adored it majorly. I've loved Isabelle's other works and this one's added to the list of loves. Thank you to the publisher, the author, and NetGalley for an advanced digital copy of this release in exchange for my honest review of the work!

Isabelle does it again! This second chance romance is a delightful mix of showbiz, healing, and mystery. The world of a stunt double was fun to explore, with characters who are clearly at the top of their craft leading the way. With many romances favoring dual POV, I liked that we stayed with Mavis the entire time, exploring her relationship to her work alongside the relationship with Fox. As someone who works a very corporate job in a city far far removed from Hollywood, this was escapism at its finest - with clever and funny writing to keep me engaged. 10/10 would recommend!

I enjoyed the hell out of this book! I loved the insiders peek into the world of stunt work. Although it was single pov, I could really feel Fox’s yearning. I didn’t love The Conflict, because everything we heard about Fox and what a great guy he is makes it seem unlikely that Mavis would doubt him. But still loved it, overall!

In an exciting book about the movie making industry, the focus is not on the stars of the film. Instead it's about the stunt doubles for the lead characters, Mave and Fox.

The story starts with the first epic fantasy film and the unthinkable accident that put both of the stunt doubles in the hospital and in extended healing. Fox healed and returned to work, but three years later, Mave hadn't. A sequel is about to be made, and the stars want their original doubles for the new film. Fox is all in, but Mage isn't as certain, but eventually agrees.

A fascinating look at movie making, stunts, and logistics as the second film is made. From beginning to end of the film is fascinating, and often frightening as the dangers are exposed. The riveting story made it nearly impossible to put down!

Isabelle, I love this book!

Mavis and Fox once worked together as stunt doubles for a popular action production. However, both of them end up injured and Mavis walks away from stunts to a quieter life on the farm. When the action production announces a sequel three years later, Mavis agrees to work with Fox again - only to end up on a set where someone is sabotaging Vanessa, one of the stars.

This was such a fun sophomore book and I can't wait to read more from Isabelle!

Thank you to SMP for this advanced copy of Isabelle Engel's sophomore novel! Just like her debut, STILL FALLING FOR YOU has hilarious, heartfelt, spicy, and exciting. I loved our two leads, Mavis and Fox. Their chemistry from the jump is OFF THE CHARTS. This book is a bit of a slow burn but the sexual tension is insanely good and the book is incredibly satisfying. I love the banter between the two, and there were several moments that made me giggle and laugh out loud. Isabelle Engel is an auto-buy author for me!

I sped through this and enjoyed it. I loved the premise of two stunt actors. I usually don’t like second chance romance and thankfully there wasn’t much said about their initial fling which made it easier to divorce that aspect. It felt well researched for stunt acting and I thought that the lingering drama between the two MCs was actually well thought out.

Normally I find movie star or celebrity level characters trite, but I think this one works because 1) the main characters aren’t the actors themselves, and 2) it was more bending the scenes. The premise of the movie their filming (The End of the Earth) was giving From Dusk Till Dawn Dawn vibes.

I just finished Still Falling for You and I couldn't put it down. Since Mavis and Fox were giving romance a second try there was a ton of chemistry right from the beginning. Mavis was a brave and tough FMC, which I feel like I don't get to see as much as I would like in romance book, but I really enjoyed getting to know her. Action packed as both MCs are stunt doubles. Having the BTS of a movie being made was such a unique setting.
