This was so original! This was a total joy to behold. And, this… broke my heart… ❤️
I’ve NEVER read anything like this before! And… if you follow me, you know I read A LOT!!
Andrea has a history. She was a well known Hollywood player. She is now much older, but still definitely has her SPARK and ATTITUDE and… so much more! She also only has a very short time left to live…
She has two daughters, Rose and Poppy, who she basically raises on her own. They WERE the best of friends growing up, but as we soon learn, now that they are in their 30’s to 40’s… well, something happened years ago… and they’ve never spoken since. Although Poppy has tried, over and over to get in touch with Rose… she just won’t have it.
And then, Andrea dies. But she doesn’t go quietly. NO… She leaves them with an A to Z plan that she really hopes they will follow (after her death)… because she’s hoping to ignite the friendship and passion that they had for each other as kids… because after all… they only have each other now!
What follows is the heart and soul of this book. As they experience the grief, pain, memories, love and the carefully crafted plan that she has laid out for them… well, they remember. The good. The bad. Everything! But… can they ever get back to the way they were? So much has changed in both of their lives…
This was so beautifully written, and hit home on so many levels… that it brought me to tears… multiple times.
I lost my Mom 30+ years ago… when we were both too young for it to happen… and this author hit on so many emotions… emotions that I still feel to this day… things that you can only realize and/or feel when you’ve personally gone through this. It. Is. Really. Something. Special!
If you have the opportunity to read this, please don’t pass it by! It was phenomenal!
