I can't describe how much I loved this book! As soon as I saw I was accepted for an ARC I downloaded it INSTANTLY and then I could not put it down!
Our MFC Alyssa is somewhat of a problem solver and after the justice system fails her best friend Katie she takes it upon herself to correct that and boy does she deliver!
Watching the way she plains so meticulously was amazing and watching her relationship unfold held my heart!
The banter, the love, the dark themes, I can't fault this book at all!
5/5 Stars everyday of the week!

This book had a perfect blend of darker themes with the comedic relief so it didn’t feel so heavy. And the spice was soooo good! I read it in one day and can’t wait to read some others by this author.

I absolutely loved this book!! I'm always a huge fan of women getting revenge, especially on shitty duchebros. Couple that with hot as sin sex scenes and great characters and you've got a winner!

Alyssa is who I wish I could be in life and girlfriend gets shit D O N E! I loved her relationship with both Katie and Vaughn (side note I need a Vaughn and Marjorie prequel novella please!!) and her discovering she's capable of love and long term with Mark (who I did change to Nark just to save my imagination from picturing my father in law 😬)

The story had really good pacing and I genuinely couldn't put it down. The split between the relationship scenes with Mark and Alyssa carrying out the plots was perfect. I just kept needing to read one more chapter until I was up til 4 am. I'm very very excited for readers to get their hands on this and experience the sexy satisfaction of a bad bitch getting it done (and getting down 👀🥵)

Kill the Puckers delivers a fast-paced revenge story wrapped in a romance framework. The premise is bold from the start: when the justice system fails her best friend, Alyssa takes matters into her own hands and begins targeting the hockey players responsible.

I love how determined and loyal was Alyssa and I admired her commitment to seeking justice for her friend. The revenge plot is engaging and easy to follow, making the story highly bingeable.

The romance with Mark (the hottie coach) adds tension and spice to the story, though the book leans more toward revenge-driven drama than traditional dark romance. Readers expecting a strong sports component may find that hockey remains mostly a background element rather than a central focus.

Some situations are a bit hard to believe, but the novel moves quickly enough that it remains entertaining throughout.

Overall, this is an engaging, fast-moving read that blends revenge, romance and morally gray choices into an entertaining story.

Kill The Puckers was such a crazy read! Crazy in the good way though. After a good fraction of a hockey team gets away with assaulting Alyssa's cousin, she is ready for revenge. Of course she gets close with the coach of the team 💅

That doesn't stop her from accomplishing her goal though 😏 The sex is WILD and hot 🔥 But, is he just a means to get closer to the team to complete a task or is there more to him than meets the eye?

This was SUCH a good read! It definitely takes dark hockey romance to a whole new meaning! Thank you netgalley , supergravitypress , and Sam Evans for an ARC of this amazing book!

I do not often read dark romance books, or any type of sports related novels. However, I was drawn to the cover and blurb. If you like dark romance and really good spicy sex that makes your naughty bits tingle a little, then this book is DEFINITELY for you. Chock full of humor, banter and morally gray characters. But also, deals with rape, sports stars abusing women and women showing why they choose the bear. The FMC is a psychologist who decides to avenge the assault of her cousin. She picks a Mark, whose name happens to be Mark to get closer and winds up falling for him. So good! Definitely read it. Anticipated release day is 3/31/26

Dark rom-coms are one of my favourite genres, mix it with an epic revenge plot, you have a winner! There was not a single part of this book is didn't enjoy reading.

This was such a fun read, a woman getting justice for her cousin when the justice system fails her, fake dating a man to get her access to her soon to be victims and accidentally falling in love with him.

The chemistry between the two main leads is sizzling, they are both well rounded, likable and relatable characters. The side characters are also really well done and thought out.

The plot is really easy to follow while still being interesting and enjoyable, it kept me on my toes and was a true page turner. The story manages to be fun and entertaining while still having a heavy overarching subject, its dealt with care and reflects real life very accurately while still turning it into an enjoyable story of revenge.

I absolutely loved this and can't recommend it enough.

My first 5* read of 2026!

This is my first book by this author and all I can say is I couldn't be happier to receive an ARC.

that being said this doesn't change my opinion,

Content warnings are there for a very good reason so be mindful but I think this is the first time I can say I laughed so hard at the opening sentence. ( there's a lot of Linda's out there )

I feel the author really got through the effects of what r*p* does but also how a person can overcome this.
The relationship between Alyssa and Mark was full of banter, spice was amazing and his comments later in the book (carnivorous plants) when he realized...something was hilarious. I ended up having a very weird look from my husband who unfortunately was trying to sleep. Vaughan was also a great character in this book, he never questioned Alyssa about weather or not she was doing the right thing (imo she was) but he helped her succeed.

The plot is great and very fast paced, I finished this in one sitting. My reason for this review being done at 2am.

Can not wait to read more from this author!!
