Description
What happens when you combine a fake engagement, a salsa lesson, skinny dipping, and the opportunity to lean in and let go? The perfect sailing conditions for a full-blown Cruise Fling.
Andrea has her life perfectly planned — right down to the color-coded calendar that keeps her executive job at Pinnacle Cruise Line, her responsibilities as a single mom, and her sanity neatly in line. Romance? Chaos? Spontaneity? Those don’t fit between work responsibilities and devotion to her teenage daughter.
Thomas is a brilliant pediatric surgeon who’s used to making high-stakes decisions, but hesitates when a family cruise suddenly becomes a trip for two. After all, Thomas and Andrea are far from strangers, since their siblings are married, and Sunday dinners have become a regular gathering. And cruising with your sister-in-law’s sister feels…complicated.
What begins as a harmless escape with sun-soaked decks, endless ocean views, and a much-needed break from schedules and surgeries quickly turns into a week of witty banter, unexpected adventures, and sizzling chemistry that becomes part of the itinerary.
But every cruise eventually docks. Back on land, Andrea’s structured world and Thomas’s demanding career come rushing back, along with one unavoidable question: was what they found at sea just a perfect vacation fantasy or something real? Because some love stories refuse to stay neatly scheduled, and some connections are more than just a Cruise Fling.

If you're looking for the perfect summer read Cruise Fling is it. WIth the way the sparks were flying and the chemistry was sizzling between Andrea and Thomas, I'm honestly surprised they didn't have a fling (or forever) sooner, especially with their family connection. I wanted to board the ship with them to witness their story unfolding. It felt like I was exploring the Caribbean along with them because Kathleen does such an amazing job describing the scenes while also not taking away from the plot and the romance.
This was such a fun and steamy read with plenty of laugh out loud and downright swoony moments. These two had no idea a fake engagement, holiday fling, and meddling familes would make them slow down and see what was right in front of them.
Thank you to NetGalley, Warrington Publishing and Kathleen Allen for the ARC opportunity.
Thank you so much to Kathleen for the ARC.
Cruise fling is just what I needed to get me in the mood for the upcoming vacation season! Andrea and Thomas‘s siblings have been playing matchmaker for them ever since they met. They have managed to be “just friends”through it all. However, when they both end up on a cruise on Pinnacle Cruise lines, it quickly crosses the boundary from “just friends” to a “cruise fling” with no strings attached. We travel with them to Aruba and Curaçao as they explore the local sites and restaurants, take salsa dance lessons, and explore each other along the way.
This was such a cute story and can I say the spice with spicing 🔥 Cruise Crush was the first book in the series and was just as good, if you would like to check it out!
I read this over 2 nights as I could not put it down. A follow-up to Cruise Crush we are back with AJ's cruise-owner family. Cruise Fling this time focuses on his sister, a single Mum Andrea's week off on a Carribbean cruise and finding someone to have a holiday fling with. Throw in a fake engagement 💍, an ex ❌, other family members 🧑🧑🧒🧒, good food 🍽️, salsa dancing 💃🏻, karaoke 🎤, sun☀️ and a lot of spice 🌶️🌶️ makes this the perfect holiday read.
The playlist 🎧🎵 and cocktail on the last pages was a perfect way to end it too. I will most certainly be trying one of those!🍹
Make sure to order your copy for a perfect summer read. It will also be available on Kindle Unlimited 📖📚
