Great as both a reference and a guide to common ailments, Dr. Wilkinson's book takes a practical look at over the counter medications and natural remedies. I found many new-to-me treatment options. I appreciated the stepped approach to things like constipation and weight loss, and the honesty that what works for one person may not work, or could even be harmful, to another. This book is very clear on when professional help should be sought, and gives guidelines on when to go to the emergency room, urgent care, make an appointment with your physician, or utilize tele-health services. This is a great book to keep on the shelf for referencing as needed, and I appreciate the opportunity to read it.
