It is divided into four parts: The simple life, Gatherings, Open homes and useful gardens, and A chosen gathering. What grabbed my attention from the get-go was the beautiful photography. After a quick glance to just appreciate the ascetics of it, I went back and really dove into the content. What I found was a really inspiring collection of sample meals (kosher vs non-kosher explanations provided), quotes from the series, prayers, Scripture, recipes, pictures, tips (like how to cut a pomegranate, how to pronounce things, step-by-step directions with pictures), explanation of various Biblical feasts, customs, a section to write your own notes, even some gardening tips and suggestions. This book can serve as a companion to the Chosen series, allowing you to slowly work your way through it, building up to an actual feast of your own. Or you can pick and choose what to focus on as a helpful resource. It would also make a thoughtful and inspirational gift.

This is a five star book that beautifully captures the heart of The Chosen and carries it straight into everyday life. I truly adore The Chosen. It has been such a meaningful outreach and such a gentle yet powerful way to remember what the Lord did for us. Watching it helps me hold tight to Jesus in a very real and personal way, and Taste and See reflects that same spirit right off the screen and into the kitchen and home.

Visually, this book is absolutely stunning. The photography and foodscaping are gorgeous, carefully styled, and deeply inviting. It is the kind of book you want to leave out on a coffee table or keep open on the kitchen counter, not just to admire but to return to often. I was very impressed with this book. What could have potentially been cheesy was extremely well done. It was a feast for the eyes with beautiful photography and story and I can’t wait to make some of the recipes included. I think fans of the Chosen will really enjoy owning this book, as well as anyone invested in Christian hospitality and understanding its Jewish roots.

This is a beautifully designed devotional cookbook that immediately stands out. Each page is filled to the brim with interesting information about historical biblical food and culture practices, and of course delicious recipes.

I ended up making quite a few different recipes and they were all so delicious! I’ll definitely be adding them to my recipe rotation, especially the Pistachio Bites!

I’d say this cookbook is perfect for beginner cooks as well, with easy instructions and some simple recipes.

Though I received a digital e-book copy, I found the notes section very unique!

As I read through the pages, I could feel myself relaxing. There are beautiful pictures, delicious sounding recipes and insightful passages. I'm going to buy several copies of this book: 1 for me! I think this companion book to the television series is stunning. The photos are incredible, and every single recipe is one I want to try, even the ones with ingredients I normally don’t consider myself a fan of. The finished dishes just look that good.

At first, I thought this was simply a cookbook, but I quickly realized it was much, much more. It teaches so much about Jewish life, the festivals, what makes something kosher, and the culture surrounding the time when Jesus walked the earth. Honestly, I probably should have expected there would be more to it since the title is Taste and See.

And there truly is more. Beyond the recipes, there are sections on flower arranging, gardening, and hosting people in your home. That’s really where the “see” part comes alive. There’s also plenty of scripture throughout and many references to the television show, which, surprisingly, I haven’t even seen. Yet I still absolutely loved this book.

As someone brought up Catholic, I grew up with faith all around me. I’ve seen The Chosen, my mom adores it, and I think it’s a beautiful representation of Jesus life, and the stories I was brought up with. I’m also an avid cook and baker, so I was excited to see both worlds brought together. I thought it was really great how everything was organized into sections. Sabbath was discussed. A Kosher vs non Kosher chart was provided, for those like myself who are not educated on the topic. The recipes were great. The prayers included were heartwarming. Just all around, I think the author did a beautiful job.

Exceptional book for anyone - whether you are familiar with The Chosen series or not. Beautiful pictures and delicious, healthy recipes - rooted in Biblical and Jewish tradition and fresh ingredients. My favorites that will be added to my rotation are the Challah Bread, Chicken Marbella with Dates, and Baked Fish with Lemon/Capers. Yum! This cookbook is definitely now one of my favorites! It's quite different from the cookbooks I currently have on my shelves, but I mean that in the best way possible. It was so neat learning more about Jewish culture, especially from Biblical times. The pictures used were gorgeous, and I loved both the Bible lessons and all of the <i>The Chosen</i> elements throughout the book. Although I haven't tried all the recipes yet, the ones I did were very delicious! They were also pretty easy to follow! I absolutely look forward to trying more of the recipes in the future! 😋

Gorgeous cookbook with so much rich information and great recipes! I would definitely suggest to buy a hardcover because formatting for cookbooks can be kind of wonky sometimes with ebooks and frankly, this thing is so gorgeous it should have a permanent place in everyone’s kitchens!

This is a beautiful book. The pictures are phenomenal and the references back to the show for each dish is exactly what you're looking for in this type of cookbook. There are a number of recipes that I would cook from here. However, I don't think the people who will purchase this book will really be doing so because of the recipes inside, at least not mostly. They will be purchasing the book more as a 'coffee table' book that relates back to a show they love. Since I have only seen this in a digital version, I can only assume that the quality of the book will be very high, so as to resemble more a 'coffee table' style book and not just a cookbook.

I think it was very well done and that it will be well received. I have marked a number of recipes to test and will include those results in any public reviews that I do.

What a special cookbook - an integration of recipes and Christian hospitality. Loved the photography. Would be a great hostess gift.

As someone who enjoys both cookbooks and books that bring people together around a table, I enjoyed Taste and See. The recipes are inspired by the world of The Chosen, but the book feels just as much about hospitality, community, and sharing meals as it does about the food itself. I liked the way recipes, reflections, and historical context are woven together, creating a reading experience that goes beyond a traditional cookbook.

The Chosen series on television was a huge hit, and inspired millions of watchers. The developers of that series, along with others who are connected with the series, have created, The Chosen Presents: Taste and See, which is not only a cookbook, but also a devotional, and is full of historical facts about Jesus Christ. This is an inspiring book that can be read cover-to-cover, as well as cooked out of.

Many of the recipes are very appealing and doable in home kitchens. They are presented in the traditional manner with the ingredients listed first, followed by step-by-step instructions that make them easy to follow. The recipes are also accompanied by stories and vignettes about the Savior that have come from the scriptures. Most of the recipes also include beautiful, professional photographs.

This is one of those beautiful books that can be displayed on a coffee table for visitors to read, or simply kept on the cookbook shelf to inspire anyone preparing the recipes. It is beautiful and well-written and would also make an excellent gift.

What a gorgeous and uplifting book! Throughout this book you will find a lovely mixture of recipes, stunning photography, teachings, and excepts from The Chosen. I love the way all of these details come together to create a beautiful reading experience. The recipes are new and interesting, while still feeling approachable and relaxed. This book encourages one to gather around the kitchen with family and friends, slow down, give thanks, and be grateful for what we have. I will return tho this book again and again.

This book is beautifully done, because it is digital there are errors within the layout of the book which made it hard to read but other then that it is a beautifully written book and I'm excited for it to be released so I can get a hard copy.

This book is so interesting and right up my alley. History, the Bible, and food. I loved how the feasts and celebrations are listed and then history and recipes accompany each one. I did not try the recipes yet, but I will be in the future. The baking ones sound extra scrumptious. I have already hyped it up to my friends and Bible Study ladies.
