Raw and Dirty

I am so confused about how to write this review.....

First, I genuinely enjoyed this book. If you're into MC romances this is a great read that I highly recommend. Just as its name proclaims, this is raw and dirty....its a 1% club that has just enough sex, violence and motorcycles without being over the top.

If Kristin Ashley's Chaos boys and Jamie Begleys last riders crew, got together and had a baby....it would be Violet Blazes Alpha wolves MC.

There's violence, there's guns. The plot has great twist and turns and suspense....there's no cheating and no over the top, crazy sexual shenanigans with sweet butts, or whatever they're called in the MC of your choice, going on. It had well written, strong lead characters and a pretty great supporting cast....Glacier?? Now his book I can't wait for.

But, I might have to wait...and that's why I am so confused....this isn't a cliff hanger in regards to stopping right in the middle of an intense, emotionally charged scene. But it IS a continuation story as far as I can tell.....I need another continuation story like the Duggars need another child. Sure, someone, somewhere out there once this.....but I am not that someone. Continuation stories are the bane of my reading existence and should have a law passed outlawing them completely in my opinion...almost always I'd give a continuation story a one star ...but, I was fine where this book ended. It has what could be a HEA vs a happy for now if you choose not to get the second book. And it's really, really good....

So although I loved this story, once I am finished with a book I. Am. Finished. I never want anything more from the characters, except to catch up with them in someone else's story in a series. unless I misinterpreted that blurb about the book coming in March, here's a heads up its a continuation...but Ms. Blaze, please give me Glacier at some point!

Damn, this is one wild ride. Lots of passion, heat, and conflicting roles and relationships.

I really enjoyed the characters and story line in this book. I will keep on reading this trilogy as they come out.

Well what to say what to say....there is stuff I really liked and stuff that made me mad....but I think overall I really like this book and I want to read more on Royal and Lyric.

At first I did not like Lyric and I am not sure I really like her now. She is a very opportunistic person and she really doesn't care who gets on her way as long as she gets her way. She went on and on about the woman she replaced and then apparently does exactly what she thinks the replacement does and bags Royal at the first meeting. I didn't like how she judged averyone and felt she was so much better when she really wasn't. Her family is messed up and so is she. Lyric thinks she is so savvy, but there is a crap load of crap going on behind the scenes. She seems to be changing her tune at the end so I hope she can redeem herself in the next book.

Now Royal he is another subject....he is the reason for the 4 stars. He is what he is and doesn't make excuses. He has remorse and his own code of right and wrong. I don't particularly like how he treated Lyric at times but he always seems to realize what he has done and tries to make up. He has lots of depth and you almost can sense he wants to live his own life and may step down as the Prez one day. I also like how he watches and listens before truly acting. Sexy Alpha with tatoos!

The sex is hot and dirty. Dirty talking and spontaneous. HOT! It is not slow and sweet and I don't think every will be between them so don't expect it or be disappointed by it.

Good read had to finish quick and can't wait for the next one. There are lots of unanswered questions and a plot to find out!

A great story of a good girl finding her inner bad girl and a bad boy finding out that love is in the cards for him, after all.

Loved loved loved Royal and Lyric. The story itself seemed short. But overall it was great. Royal is the super alpha president of an MC. Lyric is the prim and proper daughter of the mayor. By all means, their relationship shouldn't work. But there is something about Royal that Lyric craves. Can't wait for the next book.

XXX! That's a great MC book. These are for sure my guilty little pleasure. Having a British accent running in my head while I read made it hotter!

Lyric is seriously spunky and driven and no man can ever say otherwise especially Royal.

Royal is alpha male and no man or woman is going to say differently, especially Lyric.

Royal, MC President, has to get political for the good of the Club with the local mayor who is trying to get reelected. The Mayor sends in his right hand woman, his daughter Lyric, to get an agreement signed. Lyric and Royal are a match made in hell but neither one can stop the attraction they feel for each other. Hot MC romance!

A good introduction to a new MC series. I'm looking forward to reading what comes next.

I did feel like Raw and Dirty was missing some depth to the plot and characters, which had me skimming at times, but I did want to know what happened, and it read fairly quickly with a good amount of action.

If you love MC stories this is the book for you! I haven't read anything else by the author and I have to say I fell in love with her writing and her characters.

Lyric is just trying to do her job and she meets Royal and nothing will ever be the same.

I got captured by them on the first chapter ! I love when that happens, they had this kind of funny and steamy first interaction. Usually when a books has that, I get hooked and can't stop reading, it's really an important thing in a story.

The sex scenes are extremely good and raw,maybe not for everyone.

She starts as a strong, independent woman, but at the end it kind of looks like she is leaving everything behind, can't wait for the next one.

Yeah, I need to know what happens, that's how you know you've got a good story.

Two people from two different worlds. This is what Royal and Lyric is. One is the president of a MC and the other is in politics, the mayors daughter to be exact. There is so much that goes on in the book. I can not wait til book two:) it leaves you wanting more. I am hoping that maybe we will get to glimpse into royals and lyrics lives on book two. But anywho. The characters ! Ok so Royal is the ultimate Alpha he is the bomb dude! (Yes i went there) he does not say No for an answer. He gets what he wants. And when he does something he does it RIGHT! Lyric is a 28 year old who is sweet and shy but lordy how mercy she is FIESTY ! You really do not want to miss this book ! Take a ride on a the wild side and live a little. It is truly a great book ! Would i reread this book??! Yes! Would i recommend this book??! Absolutely !

I really liked Royal's book. I'm a little worried he won't be faithful though. It seams he only thoughts are women. This book has everything from romance and drama and sex. I can't wait for book two. I hope you don't let me down author and have him cheat.

Royal isn't a poetic man, “I have actual food in my cabinets and a general knowledge of how to put it together. I have two giant arse wolf dogs who are probably scratching the ***t out of my front door in an effort to come out here and sniff your crotch.” She smiles a little at that one. “And I have a king sized bed in the back.” Her smile falters a little but she catches her lip on her teeth for a moment in thought. “Or if we don't make it back there, I have a bearskin rug in front of my fireplace.” I really liked this book I loved the characters I can't wait for more books in this series.

This book just sucks you into the MC world. And even though Royal can be the stereotypical president, you still can't help but to like him. Lyric doesn't take Royals crap and she can stand on her own two feet. But coming from the world Lyric is use to makes it even harder for her to fall for the MC president. This ws one of the better MC books I've read lately. Definitely can't wait for book #2.

Now this author can write an MC book so I was right in there!

What's not to like, hot, dirty and British! He was just so masculine and MC that I couldve wept! I loved hearing the British slang and sayings, feels like home!

Though this reviewer is no stranger to MC romances, I’ll be honest and admit they can be hit or miss in regards to what I’ll accept in my romantic reads. In Raw and Dirty by Violet Blaze, I found myself trying to decide if it met one of my top criteria…must like/have some respect for the main characters. Because, really, what’s the point in a romantic HEA if you don’t think they actually deserved it. In this case, I’m still somewhat conflicted over Royal and Lyric.

You see, Lyric’s actions didn’t always match how she was portrayed. She seemed much tougher, more resolved in the beginning, yet her brain and body became a complete pushover whenever she was around Royal. She certainly seemed too quick to let the hero touch her intimately and have his way with her well before I felt was credible or acceptable. It came across crude/crass, instead of romantic. Put it this way, she didn’t just shed her clothes, but also her self-respect by giving in so easily. It would have done this bad boy a world of good to actually have to work at winning a woman’s affection for once. Instead, it was a stereotypical MC scenario where every girl swoons at his feet. I had hoped this heroine would be different.

By 33% into it, Lyric changed from confident and determined to jumpy and afraid of everything. Basically, a hand wringer. By 60%, she was pretty much putty in the hero’s hands. At the same time, after spending an entire night with her, the hero appears to be ready to wipe his hands of her for the good of the club. She, likewise, tells herself to stay away from him. Do they? Of course not. So it became a back and forth…Do I or don’t I…type of scenario.

Royal at times had you feeling sorry for the tough choices he had to make. But, unfortunately, his ego and lack of respect for women had this true romantic at heart shaking her head in frustration. At 70%, I almost completely gave up on him. That’s when he marched into Lyric’s house, had a brief graphic intimate encounter with her, then abruptly left saying “Good-bye, have a nice life.” Ultimately, he did choose to do whatever was necessary to protect her from the chaos and bloodshed that broke out, including lying to his posse of friends. He also wasn’t with any other women after meeting/being instantly attracted to Lyric. Frankly, those two reasons were his only saving grace and earned his redemption. No easy feat considering I didn’t like his unapologetic, frequent inner monologues regarding his previous sexcapes with other women.

Now, some minor issues. 1.) A hammer worn on their belt was the weapon of choice, to avoid being charged with having illegal weapons on them. Not sure I bought that. These guys were after all in the business of dealing in illegal weapons. 2.) Pint-size as the heroine’s nickname. Really, he couldn’t come up with anything better?

I’ll wrap up by saying it ended with a dramatic, life-threatening event and a declaration of their feelings for one another. The ending definitely implied their relationship was going to cause a lot of interesting fall-out for both of them. Hence, a sequel can pretty much be guaranteed.

This is the first book in a trilogy. There is strong chemistry between the main characters, lots of action, danger, and steamy sex. This was a good read. The book is about an alpha biker president and a feisty, straight-laced woman whose attraction is too strong to resist for long. Despite their differences and the huge possibility of not lasting, they decide to take the chance on each other. I felt the story sucked me in and didn't let me go until the last page. This MC book has it all. A strong willed, independent woman. A MC president who doesn't take no for an answer. A storyline that keeps the pages turning. LOVE LOVE LOVED IT!! Cannot wait for Book 2.

MC books are a hit or miss with me and this book was a definite hit! I almost didn't read this book but the description grabbed my attention and I had to give it a chance. I'm so glad that I did. I loved the heroine. The fact that Lyric is a prim and proper young lady that had some fire buried in her made it fun to read about her and a Royal butting heads. Royal was the usual player but I liked that from the moment he met Lyric he didn't look at another girl even if he didn't realize it at first. There were plenty of sparks flying between Lyric and Royal and this was a fun read. I look forward to reading more of Viloet Blaze's books!

Loved this book!!! Hot, steamy sex scenes, a strong alpha male and a couple who shouldn't be together but can't deny their attraction - I don't think anything could be added to make this book any better!

Lyric is given one task by the mayor, who happens to be her father, get the Alpha Wolves MC president to sign an agreement with the city. Something her previous predecessor failed to do (although there is speculation it's never really clear what happened to that person). Lyric just wants to be noticed by her father, to show him that she can get the job done and that she could have a career in politics.

Royal is immediately taken back by Lyric; even though the attraction to her is completely wrong he can't deny it. He wants her and refuses to take no for answer. He finds himself putting her before the club, something that he has never done before. He thinks about her constantly and for the first time understands why his brothers have old ladies.

The relationship between Lyric and Royal is doomed from the start: a mayor's daughter sleeping with the president of an MC club? A woman with federal and state ties making her way into the MC and possibly learning their secrets? This is a recipe for disaster.

Great character development....loved the inner workings of Royal! And I'm absolutely in love with his house!

While this book doesn't have a cliff hanger, it does end with a happily ever after for now. Lyric and Royal's story continues in another book in this series but there is enough closure in this book that you're not left waiting. Personally though, I'm looking forward to reading the rest of their story and the story of some of the other MC guys.

The story of Lyric daughter of the town Mayor and all round good girl and Royal President of the Alpha Wolves biker club all mean and moody ex-British bad boy was a good MC read for me as they are not normally my book of choice but I enjoyed the interaction between these two characters.
They are both from different worlds but thrown together when Lyric as the Deputy Mayor has to try and get Royal and his biker brothers to sign paperwork to support the city that will help her father get reelected.
Their attraction is hot and the sex scenes are awesome my only criticism really was the nickname Royal gives Lyric of "Pint size" started to get on my nerves a little after reading it so many times throughout the story.
I liked the story enough to want to read the next book in this series and will be looking out for it to be released in the near future.

This review was a little tricky for me. As a girl who grew up around MC’s I gotta say I love Violet’s Alpha Wolves world. A lot of authors wanna go way to extreme on the love or shock factors when it comes to MC romances so Violet’s balance of bad boy president but also a man who falls for a woman he knows he shouldn’t was pure perfection to me.

Royal, the newest prez of the Alpha Wolves, will do whatever he has to protect his club and his brothers and sadly he’s already done probably the most heart breaking thing he will ever have to do. Everything about Royal I loved and connected with. He is the true definition of a biker. He lives his life his way with no apologies. From the moment he meets Lyric she intrigues him and even though he doesn’t understand or act on it immediately we never had to deal with him screwing half the clubs “Leather Lovers” in order to figure out he wants her instead. Anyone who’s read my reviews know I hattteeeeee when our heroes sleep around after meeting their lady love so this one had me doing a total happy dance!

As always with this author the storyline and secondary character build up is amazing and I hope that after this trilogy is done that she will do spin offs of the others.

What I had a problem with was Lyric. I just couldn’t find myself connecting with her in any way, shape, or form at first. I didn’t necessarily believe who she was as a person and while I understand that she didn’t even know herself because she’s always trying to impress her father it just didn’t fall together for me. I honestly found myself constantly yelling out loud at her through my kindle (yes I looked like a crazy person don’t judge me! Lol) I wish we could have either seen her interact more with her dad, to explain their relationship and past. Or if we could have seen her really experience more with Royal and the club, if she really let loose at the club party, getting to know everyone, and really truly living and having fun I think we could have seen the struggle in her play out a lot more.

Having said that by the end I ABSOLUTELY LOVED this book. Without giving anything away Lyric definitely stepped up and proved me wrong in my want to strangle her little stuck up neck. If you find yourself getting a little frustrated like I was while reading Raw and Dirty STICK IT OUT!!! I am so glad I did and I cannot wait for the rest of the trilogy to be released!!!

Royal was president of the Alpha Wolves MC . Lyric was the mayor’s daughter and she herself was the deputy mayor. Which basically did what her father didn’t really want to deal with. Her mission was to get Royal to sign the proposals that were written up. Although Lyric had lost control and had sex with Royal. All Lyric’s dad Philip really cares about is work, parties, or what the neighbors think. Lyric long ago accepted that about her father. Lyric’s brother sully stopped at her house and let her know that he as well as her dad knew she had called Brent who was an FBI agent. Lyric can’t really seem to stay away from Royal once she slept with him. The story and plot was predictable for the most part. But somehow that didn’t really matter The characters were good although did not really like Lyric. She was one thing during the day and totally different at night . But Royal was really the star of this story. Royal didn't try to be anything other than what he was. The other thing I had a little bit of a problem with how he treated Lyric at times.I do recommend. I received an ARC of this story for an honest review.

Raw and dirty is excellent start in new MC series. I loved the writing style and the plot was interesting unexpectedly with a few of twists. I loved Royal and his sexy British accent. He was the real alfa male I liked his character his devotion to club his reasonable mind. That he was not just some ruthless heartless biker but man with conscious and heart. I did not like Lyric in particular she was for me opportunistic a girl who wanted very different life. So if you want to become a senator you do not make decision she had because it all landed to dirty hot sex with biker. And believe me in election all dirt sooner or later comes out. But I did like her attitude, she did not let Royal treat her like shit. And I liked that she fought for her live even she ran from all options. And what I liked for her that she was aware that she made a mistake was really sorry and wanted Royal even he was at first not in her future plans.
There is violence and there is a lot of dirty sex with bad boy.
Book for everyone who like a great MC story! Recommended!

I really enjoyed this book!
I didn’t know Violet Blaze, but I can say right know that I’ll follow her books.

What I liked about RAW AND DIRTY:
First of all, the first look we get: the cover. We know this will not be about a Charming Prince and a prude Damsel in distress

I loved the writing: The plot is great, I liked the way the characters’ background is set.
There is a lot of sex and humor… and underneath, true love.
The characters are consistent, and the sequence of events is good.

What I enjoyed “a little less”:
- Yes, I get that Lyric was too strict, getting out of her comfort zone and becoming more “carefree” is great, thanks Royal… but having SEVERAL TIMES sexual encounters without protection is nearly irresponsible (but we can think a pregnancy could be another storyline for next book, maybe?)
- The books really don’t end the war clans plot, but again this will maybe ended in next book?), so this is quite a cliffhanger maybe?

My feeling when I get to the last page was “I’m absolutely waiting for the next book to come out!!”

I really think Marketing is well handed with this book:

After enjoying “Raw and Dirty”, having (not one but) TWO teasers of “Biker Rock star Billionaire COE Alpha” and “Stepbrother Thief” left me looking for more. This was definitely the cherry on the cake, thank you for sharing it!
All in all: I am definitely looking for Book 2 and for others books of Violet Blaze.

I enjoyed this book, the story was good and I am sure these brotherhood gangs play things out as exactly as described. The story was believable and I'd definitely recommend it. Looking forward to book two.

HOLY TEA AND CRUMPETS, I just absolutely loved this book!!!!! I seriously could not put this book down for the life of me. I was a bit hesitant to read it because I have been getting a bit bored with MC novels but Violet Blaze literally blew this one right out of the water. I don't even know where to begin to be honest, there are just so many things I enjoyed about this book. I have never read a book by Violet Blaze so I was very pleased with her writing. I loved how she brought Royal and Lyric to life and I liked the off-the-charts chemistry they shared. Lyric is one of my all time favorite leading ladies now and I absolutely loved Royal's pursuit of Lyric and pretty much everything about him as well. I also thought it was an interesting twist that he was British, which added a great little quirk to the story for me and I loved the cute and funny little moments he and Lyric shared when he tried to explain some of things he said. Oh, and I literally cannot wait to read the next book in the series!!!!!

Raw and Dirty left me feeling...completely hot and bothered if I'm being honest!!! It was sexy, fun, and unique as hell. I really enjoyed reading this MC Romance because I loved the characters and the plot was really great. This story captures the attention and keeps it. I would recommend this book to just about anyone.

Violet Blaze gave us Raw and Dirty the story of Lyric and Royal. Royal is a flipping hot British Prez of an MC and Lyric is the mayor's daughter who is trying to work a deal between the city and the MC. While I loved Royal and his love of his dogs, Lyric not so much. Lyric just didn't appeal to me as a strong woman as she was to busy doing daddy's business. I did like the story line and will, read the next one.

Lyric is the daughter of the mayor, who happens to be up for re-election. Lyric has her own aspirations though, she wants to be a Senator. She also wants to show her father she is a capable person. To do this, she needs to basically forge a deal with the local MC. The deal? It wouldn't do anything for the MC but it would have her father looking good for re-election.

Royal is the President of the Alpha Wolves MC. He, nor his crew want to have anything to do with this. They just want to be left alone to do their own thing.

Then he meets Lyric. She comes to see him in a suit 30 years older than her and her hair in a bun. He is sarcastic and crass but she doesn't take it, she gives it right back and he sees the spark in her. Will these two ever meet on common ground?

Lyric has two different sides to her. One side wants her father to "see her and know her" but when she meets Royal she is just captivated by him and knows she won't refuse him. One taste is not always enough! I love Lyric and her lingerie, she is too funny. Royal won't know what has hit him because it has never happened before!

I have to say....this book is definitely RAW & DIRTY! In that aspect I loved it. What I didn't love...even though it didn't end on a cliffhanger the story didn't feel quite complete. You can tell there is more ahead for the characters. I really don't like this type of story and usually won't buy it. I like to see the story complete and then have the rest of the series be about other characters in the series.

This story has several characters I would love to read more about......Doper, Glacier, Smokey...

We did never get to see how her family would react to them so it doesn't feel complete to me. I don't want to wait for another book.....If this had been complete for me, I would have rated it 5 stars.

Who says royalty has to be stuffy?! This is definitely not the case for the badass President of the Alpha Wolves MC. Royal, and yes that is his name, came from England as a kid and was befriended by a boy named Landon. Landon and Royal grew up together, prospected together, and patched in together. So what could bring Royal to take his brother’s life?

Lyric was the daughter of the mayor and was hoping to be on the fast track to a political career herself. As luck would have it the deputy mayor position just opened up and Lyric jumped at the chance to prove herself to her father. All she had to do was have Royal sign a “peace treaty” with the city and she would have earned her stars with her dad. She wasn’t going to make the same mistake her predecessor did and that was give in to Royal’s sexy wild ways. How could Lyric since she looked and acted the part of some prim and proper do-gooder? But did Lyric really have a wild side underneath that gray granny skirt and tight bun? Where everyone else at the club didn’t take a second look at her when she came in for her meeting with Royal to get him to sign the papers, he sensed something else under all of that.

So was Royal right in his assumption and would he be able to get her to trade all of that business suit stuffiness in for some leathers or would Lyric be too scared to try anything out of her comfort zone especially with someone she is sure has done some really bad things? Even if Royal did get her to come over to “the dark side” for a bit would Lyric really risk everything for a quick romp with Royal? I really like the dynamics of Royal and Lyric and it took me in to their story long enough that I definitely would read a book 2 of Raw and Dirty just to continue on this wild ride with those two.

This first book of the Bad Boys MC Trilogy is quite a ride.

Royal is the president of the Alpha Wolves MC. He is tall, dark, handsome and sexy as hell. He runs what looks to be an honest business but what goes on outside of the business is anyone's guess. He likes women and doesn't have to put any efforts in getting into their pants. Raw and Dirty as the title suggests.

Lyric is the deputy mayor, trying to impress her father the mayor by securing a deal with the MC. She is prim and proper and dresses accordingly. She is fed up being overlooked by 'daddy" and comes up with a plan to gain some recognition. Is it the best plan though? She is also career driven!

On Lyric's first appointment with Royal to look over the paperwork and hopefully seal the deal, she is more or less rendered speechless on setting sight on him. There is something about her that calls to Royal and he gives her the nickname of Pint Size! The meeting doesn't go quite as planned. Frustrated and determined Lyric steps outside of her comfort. This makes her even more appealing to Royal and Royal doesn't take no for an answer. The chemistry between them is off the chart.

The club has been under some pressure since they have been betrayed by one of their "brothers". As the story unfolds it becomes even more apparent that unwittingly, Lyric has a part to play in the club's current problems. Royal and Lyric have this connection which makes it more or less impossible to keep away from each other. Is there a future for an MC president and a deputy mayor though?

This is about loyalty, betrayal and forbidden love. It's also humorous even with the surrounding violence. There are some extremely sensual scenes. The ending is not quite what I expected but not in a bad way and I would recommend to other readers.

This book took me a while to get into. It was quickly becoming a DNF but the longer I read the more liked Royal. Despite his flaws he has attitude and swagger that I found charming.

Lyric seemed a flighty do-gooder but deep down she was a bad girl waiting to break free. It took a bit for me to warm up to her but I liked her by the end .

The storyline and the MC club were a bit weak but by the end I was looking forward to reading more about this couple. While the author leaves us with a happy for now ending this book is part of a series.

I'm hoping that the continuation starts strong gives the reader an enjoyable part 2.

First off I love the names of these characters. Royal and Lyric very unique. Royal is the youngest president for a reason. He does whatever is necessary to protect his club and makes no apologies for his actions. If he sees something he wants he goes after it. Women flock to him and he doesn't turn them away. A pretty little deputy mayor though has more spunk and fire than he usually sees in women. She isn't falling at his feet.
Lyric is trying to propel her political career by hard work and the right connections. Contrary to popular belief however she did not get her job because her father is the mayor. When he wants to make a deal with the MC he sends her to get the contract signed. Royal has an effect that she did not anticipate but she is determined to not fall into his bed. These two have a powerful connection. An MC president and a deputy mayor however definitely doesn't sound like a smart plan. Good thing know one is calling them smart.
This story takes several unexpected turns and the cliffhanger left me wanting more.I can't wait for the next book.

copy received through Netgalley for honest review 3.5 stars the story of British MC president Royal and Lyric, the mayor's daughter is your classic bad boy vs good girl. the story takes place over a couple of days. A lot happens in those few days. There is the usual MC violence,intrigue and sex. It is not as gritty as some other MC books. There is plenty of action and you even has the rival MC getting a little action in. The story is full of twists and you are left with questions. The ending is not classified as a true cliffhanger but you are kind of left hanging. The main characters has an understanding but there is more coming in the next book. I liked both characters. Lyric is a strong female character but she is a little bit of a pushover when it comes to Royal. She is easily distracted by him. Royal feels the same way, he tries hard to keep Lyric safe. The mystery is a good set up to get you ready to read more. How will Royal and Lyric be able to continue a relationship. What happens with the rival MC? There is a lot to look forward to.
