Description
Evening Murray has worked hard her whole life and never minded being alone. Now, she’s finally reached her goal with a position in the British Security Service's ultra-secret Department. Eve has always been interested in power, and sway, and with her job in The Department she can truly make a difference. There's only one problem: She's completely fallen for her boss.
Ronan Blackwood is beyond brilliant, mysterious, influential, and devastatingly gorgeous. He’s also distant, perfectly polite, controlled and cold. Eve longs to find out what goes on behind his frosty blue eyes and what lies beneath his wintry exterior. It's all she can do to hide how badly she wants him, day in and day out.
When shots are fired during a daring attack, Ronan and Eve follow protocol and flee to an isolated safe house. There, Eve's iron will deserts her, and the two share a passion beyond her wildest dreams (which is saying something!) Eve begins to see a side of Ronan she never imagined existed, sensual, thoughtful, and unbelievably sexual. Being with Ronan awakens her, makes her feel alive, makes her giddy with desire, and all she wants is more.
But the road ahead for these two will not be easy. Not everyone is happy that Eve is spending time with the boss, and one of the other Department agent's jealousy swiftly turns poisonous, exposing Eve to grave danger. While the connection between Ronan and Eve grows ever hotter and stronger, Ronan realizes he will do anything to protect Eve and the feelings he is developing for her. But becoming closer to her means he must reveal the terrible secret that he harbors, a secret which will change both of their lives forever and threatens to tear them apart…
Sway is intended for Mature Audiences, 18+
Sway is currently a standalone novel, containing an entire story arc, and does not end in a cliff hanger! Instead of waiting for sequels you are getting the whole story in one volume, for one price. Although the main characters have hinted that they may need the author to write more of their adventures in the future, Sway is an entire story in one book.
"Extremely detailed and incredibly erotic, Sway will leave you breathless"

KIRKUS REVIEW
A woman’s intoxicating tryst with her boss takes a startling turn when she learns that he has some peculiarities and that the two are bound by a supernatural connection in Savage’s debut erotic thriller.
Evening “Eve” Murray, a Canadian working in an unnamed, covert division of the British Secret Service, may have fallen in love with boss Ronan Blackwood. Temporarily filling in as his personal assistant while his regular one is on maternity leave, Eve helps Ronan escape from a would-be assassination. The two duck out to a London safe house, where their mutual physical attraction is satiated with a 48-hour marathon of sex. Monday finds them back at the office, but after someone assaults Eve, the couple reunite and Ronan tends to Eve’s wounds. He, however, is soon troubled by his rare condition. Ronan tells Eve that he’s a Leonox, one of a small group of beings with heightened senses and a necessity for “large amounts of pure protein.” He fears that a process known as the bonding may already have begun between the two. It has the potential to alter the biochemistry on both sides, with a few snags, namely a link so intense that it causes physical pain and sickness when the two are separated. Ronan, finding it hard to control his primal urges with Eve, must decide whether it’s safer to stay with her or leave. Sex scenes in this book are provocative and plentiful, but they also show the evolution of the couple’s relationship. The more Eve craves Ronan’s animalistic hunger, for example, the more he pulls away, especially as his icy exterior starts to melt. Readers will likely guess what a Leonox (essentially) is, but Savage smartly keeps it primarily ambiguous: there’s no origin of the Leonoctes, and even Ronan knows little about the bonding or whether it truly exists. The supernatural elements, too, remain subtle, like the dreams that Eve and Ronan may be sharing. The two floating together “on the dream water” is just one instance of Savage’s rhapsodic prose, where sex that induces a “liquefying orgasm” is more surreal than somatic.
Tantalizing for genre fans but also an honest romance between characters working for the British Secret Service whose attachment is both cherished and inescapable.

Although the main characters have hinted that they may need the author to write more of their adventures in the future, Sway is an entire story in one book.” Those lines really caught my attention … when reading the Blurb to “Sway” by Katherine Savage. I can still remember times when it was normal to get a whole story in one book and when it was announced especially when a book was NOT written in that way. Well anyway – it is refreshing that there for once is again a whole story in one book. And a well written and developed story it is. With Ronan and Eve we get two interesting characters that will lead the readers easy through the book. Even when at times the descriptions are maybe a little too detailed this still feels better than other books that are missing out on depth. Ronan is the perfect male lead being cool, controlled, gorgeous and mysterious. In Evening the author created a counterpart that is strong and even though she seems a total opposite of Ronan she still also seems perfect for him to the reader. Into this explosive mix the author adds some fast paced action that already starts with the first page and does not slow down during the whole story. A very enjoyable read |

4 intricate and intriguing stars. The biggest drawback for this book is how in detail the author makes every scene which causes the book to be extremely length. While I like detail, I think a little bit less would make this book appeal to the masses as the story, at its core, is fascinating. I also think the story could have been broken up into two books rather than one extremely long book but then again I'm a natural marketer and so see it through a need to appease the public. Overall, I was kept very interested through the entire book. Personally, I didn't struggle to finish this book because I was emotionally and mentally invested in what everything meant, what would happen and so forth. I liked the explicit detail and shifting between his and her points of view. I even found myself liking Ronan's odd control over himself and Eve's constant thinking. There's a slow build up that kind of rocks you a bit because while you get clues you are never really certain what the actual truth is and it is quite interesting. There's more than meets the eye which is why I think I liked reading this story so much, many elements all rolling into one another to create the story that is Ronan and Evening's love story. Ronan is known as an ice cube and pretty much demands respect yet instills fear. He's a workaholic and accomplishes incredible feats for his country while also managing insane amounts of stress. He's calculating, cold, intuitive and something you really can't quite place your finger on. When he gets Evening into bed, well, cold is most definitely not the word I would use to describe him. Words such as passionate, animalistic and aggressive come to mind. Evening is a puzzle that Ronan struggles to figure out. She isn't fearful of him but quite attracted to him. She craves him in a way that shocks him to his senses. Evening is clever, intuitive, honest and giving. She's easy to like and amused me thoroughly. I don't know if I could have been so open-minded in her position but I found it worked well. She balances Ronan and allows him to come out of his shell while he gives her what she needs in return. This is the first Katherine Savage's book that I read and in spite of liking the story, there were some aspects that made me reticent about keeping on reading it. The book tells us the story of to main characters: Ronan and Evening. Ronan is the head of The Department, a super secret part of the British government. Everyone thinks that he is a cold, controlled, handsome and also mysterious man. Having been always focused on his work, Ronan soon had discarded the possibility of having a relationship with someone. However, when Eve shows up, he turns into someone else: a romantic, aggressive and somehow aminalistic man. When both were heading home, shots were fired and Eve got hurt and that bullet was meant for Ronan. With a protocol to follow, both went to a safe house away from everything and everyone. And it is from here that their lives change. Ronan feels the necessity of taking care of Eve's wound, mas she was not expecting that this attitude had such an effect on her. He, who has always been alone, keeps a certain distrust about Eve's intentions due to his own insecurities about himself. Everything seemed to be fine when Ronan had to travel and Eve takes care of the work at The Department. She ends up being attacked and Ronan becomes super protective about her. The narrative is well written, with events developed at the right rhythm along all the chapters. Yet, I think that the descriptions are too long and too detailed. In short, in spite of the previous aspects made me lose some interest on reading this book, the plot and the characters kept me glued to it. |

You have got to read this book!!! I will admit it that cover art makes a difference sometimes and this is one of those times. I also for selfish reasons, picked this because of the male characters name which is Ronan. I expected a romance, and reading the summary, some action but I did not expect what I got. What I got was jaw dropping, heart thundering, mind stimulating, and it got my attention and held it. Ronan, head of The Department a super secret part of the British government, as well as the most brilliant man on the planet that dresses in full three piece suits, yes, I said that, has a new assistant, Evening (Eve, Mrs. Murray) Murray, as his has taken maternity leave and they are getting along well. What they do not know is that they have feelings for one another that are returned but just not in the normal way until he is shot at while leaving the building one night and they have to get to a safe house. Eve is shot by the assailant and has to be stitched up by Ronan and is so aroused by him just being near that it's difficult to hide it, now she has to sit still while he puts his hands on her. Well, let the games begin in the totally off the chart sex scenes. Seriously, there are some different phrasing because of the British thing but this book and story are beautiful and amazing to read. I was hooked in the beginning and was thinking of screaming about 70% of the way through when I thought the author was going to leave me with a huge cliffhanger but fear not I am here to tell you she does not, however she does leave it open at the end for more. The other characters in this book, one more main character, Amanda, the assistant who is on maternity leave, is intense and perfect and quite lovely, especially in the end and the bad guy are well thought out and developed. I enjoyed them all, even while wanting to put my first through the bad guy's face. Ronan and Eve have a surprise that no one expected (no she's not pregnant) and it could end things before they really begin which is sad because these two really care for each other. Amanda, however, is helping Ronan to to try to find an answer. Eve is left alone to run the department for a week while Ronan is away on business and during that time she is assaulted. That brings all the protective instincts from Ronan front and center. I cannot do this book justice in this review it is entirely impossible but I hope you will read it and enjoy it as much as I do. I don't think I have ever been hooked on a book this quickly and never regretted a second of my time reading this book. Plus I love the British accents running through my head the whole time. The only negative thing is that I was constantly looking up words, thank goodness for my kindle because if I were reading this in paper it may have been frustrating, but I love to learn new words or new uses for old words. I received this ARC through the publisher on Net Galley for an honest review. |

Sway caught my attention from the minute I spied the cover (see what I did there?). The cover is very pretty and when I read the story blurb I knew this was a book I would really enjoy. Ronan is a member of the British Secret Service and he knows how to rock a three piece suit. Eve is his new temporary assistant (she's filling in for Amanda who is currently on maternity leave). Instantly Eve begins to fall for Ronan. When a mission goes wrong and they are forced to hide out in a safe house things move past business and soon they were steaming up the pages of my Kindle. I really enjoyed Eve and Ronan. They had enough differences to keep things interesting. Ronan is (outwardly) cold, aggressive and the kind of man who has to always be in control of himself and every situation he encounters. Eve is full of life with a huge heart and an inquisitive nature. i enjoyed the twist that was unexpected as well. Savage writes an extremely detailed story and I do think at times it dragged a bit ABC could have been shorter. All in all though, I very much enjoyed it and she is definitely a new author I will be keeping an eye on. |

This was an interesting read for me. The details were intricate, the chapters lengthy, yet I was compelled to know what happened. The first time that we had Ronan's point of view, I was thrilled. Being inside his head added so much to this story, were truly the best parts. I absolutely fell in love with him, almost from the start. This was written so that I could actually feel the bonding happening between Evening and Ronan and as if I was apart of the inevitable right along with them. The greatest disappointment was the ending of the book. In a way it sort of fell off a cliff when it didn't have to. We get this little snippet of Mark Emery threatening that this isn't over and I wish that would have been resolved. I also wanted them to get married before they disappeared to the islands...something about this just felt like loose ends especially after sticking with them so far on their journey. Overall, I enjoyed the book. The writing and the story were very, very good. |

Y'all - I need more. In the blurb for this book, it says there could be more coming, and I need more! I really enjoyed this, and while it's definitely a mature audiences read, I'll be recommending it to friends. |

I enjoyed the book. Some of the scenes were a little too long winded to get to the point. I never really fully understood exactly what Ronan is. Wish we knew in the epilogue if they decided to have children, etc. |
