Description
Two ex-boyfriends. One perfect holiday. Can they leave their baggage behind?
When influencer Brady Gibson is asked to be a global travel ambassador, he’s thrilled. Poolside cocktails. Gorgeous views. Designer boutiques. What could be better? And it might just heal the pain from his break-up with Hayes Carter, nine months ago.
None of Brady’s followers know about the split, as Brady’s relied on a backlog of photos to keep posting. But the company want the “perfect couple” they see online and that couple no longer exists.
Hayes has given up on Brady and social media altogether, using his broken heart as motivation for medical school. But school is expensive, so when Brady calls with the lucrative proposition that will pay his fees, he accepts – as long as they promise to keep things platonic.
But after a hot summer travelling the major European cities, will this couple find their fake dating turning to real love?
If you can't get enough of the spice of Heated Rivalry or the glamorous locations of White Lotus, don't miss this spicy, fake-dating, second-chance romance!

Here Comes Summer is a romance novel about two ex-boyfriends who have to fake still being together to go on a trip around Europe for a travel brand. Brady is aimless, with his rich family wanting him to follow in their footsteps and become a lawyer, but when he gets an offer from a travel company to be an ambassador for their brand for the summer thanks to an old social media account, he jumps at the chance. The catch? They want a couple, having seen Brady's posts with ex-boyfriend Hayes, who is now preparing for med school and worrying about money. This could be the perfect summer for both of them, but feelings might complicate their chance for easy money.
This is a great summer read if you're looking for queer romance, as it is light and the drama never feels too deep or troublesome for the couple. I like how it is told from both Brady and Hayes' perspectives, which makes the obvious miscommunication work better than it sometimes does (I find the trope is often frustrating when it is unrealistic and just there to create slight drama). There's definitely some interesting character development for them both, with the narrative focusing on them needing to take some inspiration from each other as they grow up, and realise that they might need to rethink some of their impressions to understand each other better. Each location they go to has a weather report that I think is meant to give a flavour of what is going to happen to their relationship there, but I didn't really feel like it was needed.
Here Comes Summer is an escapist romance that focuses on growing into who you want to be, whilst also touching on wealth differences and gay shame. It is on the lighter end of queer romance, but with characters that still feel like real queer people even in the very fictional situations.

I loved traveling around Europe with Brady and Hayes. A fun, light-hearted romp that kept me turning pages. A great summer read. Will definetly read more. I could picture each and every place they went to because of the truly vivid descriptions.

Thank you NetGalley and publisher for this arc.
I loved this sweet secound chance romance. I loved reading MMCs Brady and Hayes story. It was so much fun. The humor, witty banter, fake dating. The backdrop of Europe is perfect. This is a great summer read. So swoonworthy! This was face paced but I was able to keep up. Hooked from page 1.

I really enjoyed this slightly spicy MM romance novel. The story was fun and easy to follow, had beautiful place settings and a great cast of characters. I highly recommend it and I look forward to reading more by the author.

What a fabulous queer love story! I had never read a second chance MM book, so I was LOCKED in. I really love the way the author connects us to the queer community and ongoing struggles with being out in the world.
Brady and Hayes had such a sweet, passionate love. I hate that they were both so overcome by their insecurities that most of their relationship and reconciliation was overshadowed by them.
That was my ultimate issue with this book, these characters go on such a rollercoaster with each other that you just want them to stop and be happy.
I love that Hayes pushed himself out of his comfort zone. How he overcame insecurity of being put in public with a man. Being from a deep red state, I know that Hayes had these fears deeply ingrained. And I love that Brady pushes himself to believe in & choose himself, even when it’s hard and scary.
Overall, I had a great time, just wish there was a smidge less up and down for these 2. I still recommend you check this out for yourselves!
Thank you Hera Books and Netgalley for this eARC, these opinions are my own. A sweet second chance romance! A year ago things were great with Hayes and Brady but then it ended and both of them were left broken hearted. Now Brady gets the opportunity he has been looking for, a queer hotel chain wants to pay him to be an ambassador for them over the summer, take pictures, visit places all over Europe, it’s perfectly to show his parents that there can be other things besides law school. There’s only one catch they still think he’s in a relationship with Hayes so they actually want them as a couple. Hayes is working so that he can put himself through medical school and the money would really help him achieve that goal. He only has to take pictures of Brady anyway. Oh Brady may have left a little detail of the trip out. So they are fake dating, across beautiful locations, tourist attractions, and sharing a room. When you spend so much time with a person it’s hard for old feelings not to resurface. But their situations haven’t changed, could they really make it work? And are the little things they aren’t telling each other enough to destroy what they could be rebuilding? Charming, funny, and completely swoonworthy! Georgie Kain writes a fast paced second chance fake dating romance that had me hooked, in my feels, and cheering on Hayes and Brady!
