Jodi Taylor has done it again. Plenty of plot twists and I've been left with more questions- again! Can't wait for book 4!

A Family Affair is the second book in Jodi Taylor’s Smallhope and Pennyroyal series.

Bounty hunting continues, Smallhope’s sister-in-law Caroline is sending threatening letters from Italy and Pennyroyal’s long-lost sister has returned.

Both Smallhope and Pennyroyal are burdened by their own vulnerabilities: loved ones they are desperate to protect. These deep emotional ties influence their actions exposing them to danger.

This was a fabulous story and a cryptic message delivered in the book’s final pages has left me anxiously anticipating the next one in the series.

Thank you to NetGalley and to Headline for knowing how much I would love A Family Affair and inviting me to read an eARC in exchange for an honest review. Seeing it was a new Jodi Taylor book, I immediately prioritised reading this!

Another amazing story from Taylor who just seems to get better every time. Smallhope and Pennyroyal and such wonderful characters and this story told from each perspective at times is just wonderful. A mystery and adventure but with loads of humor and heartbreak threaded through, I couldn't put it down but didn't want it to end.

Another full on rip roaring, full throttled roller-coaster of a book from one of my favourite authors Jodi Taylor. I just love her style of writing, you feel as if you are right there in the centre of the action and there is plenty of it. I love Stanhope and Pennyroyal as much as I love the Team Weird at the Time Police and all at St Mary's. Just wonderful. It's the kind of book that I have to remind myself to slow down reading it as I don't want it to ever end. Can't wait for the next book from her.
