Description
A fractured world. A hidden past. A future she never expected.
Fourteen-year-old Tessa Wright, forced to leave her idyllic life in the Wilds following her family’s tragic death, struggles with grief and navigating high school. When mysterious memories break through, she wonders if her family’s death wasn’t an accident.
Caught between the unrest in the city and a growing underground movement, Tessa must figure out who she is and what’s worth fighting for.
In a world where nothing is as it seems, discovering the truth could cost her everything.

Advance Praise
“At first Tessa thinks it’s just her heart that’s shattered, but she soon suspects it’s her mind as well. ... [J]ust the right twists on the tropes of the orphaned heroine, high school cliques, and teen romance.” Larry Hogue, author of Ada's Children
"If Katniss and Tris had a love child, her name would be Tessa! Tessa Wright is the newest “shero” in YA dystopian fiction." Amazon review

Marketing Plan
Fall into the Forged series, a slow-burn dystopian YA trilogy about memory, control, and the fight for personal freedom—set in a future where perfection is engineered, and rebellion begins one choice at a time.
The story continues. Merged, Book Two of the Forged Series, is coming in late summer 2026.

From the prologue, I was hooked. Shattered drops you into a vivid dystopian future that feels uncomfortably believable, and the author’s attention to detail made every scene easy to picture. Even when the bigger world events sit more in the background, the story stays gripping because Tessa’s journey is so personal — grief, identity, belonging, and trying to start over when the past won’t stay buried.
What really made this a 5-star read for me is how quickly it pulled me in and how long it stuck with me after I finished. The characters have real depth, the pacing kept me turning pages, and there’s a twist I genuinely didn’t see coming. I’m absolutely excited for book two.
