This was pretty silly. Not much of a story, but cute illustrations, and made me want to be napping on a fluffy futon too.

Very short and sweet with beautifully drawn illustrations. I wish the text was slightly larger on the pages, especially the sound effects, but that may be personal preference. The story is quite short, even for a kids’ book, but the very cute nonetheless. I’m sure it will bring a smile to many kids’ faces.

A gentle story about a host of people, and Grandma, enjoying a nap on a futon Grandma puts down on the floor. The futon smells so clean and looks so comfortable, no one can resist it.

I loved how despite more and more arriving, attracted by the futon, everyone makes room and adjusts, so each new animal can sleep comfortably.

The story is sweet, the illustrations full of life and a gentle humour, and it's a great book to talk about sharing, acceptance, and taking naps.

The story is cute, albeit a little light on plot.

Grandma sets out a futon to air on the porch, where she is eventually joined by a hoard of unusual characters. Not much happens, although younger readers may have fun trying to imagine who will show up next. I can see this being a story a toddler may enjoy reading multiple times, enjoying the silliness of the animal visitors, though I’m not sure if it would hold the same appeal for older children. It seems like a good story for the pre-k age group.

Cute illustrations style. I like that on a re-read, a reader can catch a glimpse of some of the animals we meet later in the story hanging out at the side of the house. I think kids would find the cartoonish illustration style appealing.
