Amazing! I loved this book and I believe many young readers will too! Yes, I might be a bit biased as a half Italian who LOVES pasta, but Spaghetti Science has so much information in it. There is so much I learned about pasta and I find any child who loves pasta will enjoy this book.
We have some interesting facts about how pasta is made and even cool facts you wouldn't expect, like the amount of pasta Italians consume in a year and how many times it would loop around Earth if laid out. This one was by far the most interesting and surprising!
The author also does an amazing job at illustrating many pastas, the journey from seed to plate, and all supporting equipment! And from a classroom perspective, this could be a great addition to a science classroom learning about Earth science or even a social studies classroom learning about cultures!
If you’re a pasta lover like me… you’ll like this fun picture book that will make you crave a dish of your favorite spaghetti. This book has it all! It starts with some fun stats about spaghetti and pasta and moves into the precise process of how pasta is made. It has a fun noodle and sauce recipe. It includes a few STEM projects with pasta at the end too. Since 10/25 is world pasta day, that would be the ultimate day to read this book and do an activity in the classroom.
