Description
If only one person were there to hold your hand, so many things would be different. Discover the transformative power of kindness in this beautifully illustrated story that shows how a single act can make someone feel seen, valued, and hopeful.
All it takes is one person to make you feel invisible, unseen.
And all it takes is one person to stand by your side, to make you feel seen, to plant a seed of hope.
Which one do you want to be?
Spare, poetic prose and subtle, poignant artwork tell a universal tale of the power of one to hurt and heal, reject and welcome, tear down and raise up. In lonely, difficult times, one simple spark of kindness can spread from one person to another to another until we all are one.

This is a sweet, pleasant book about the importance of one person and what kind of person you choose to be. I had to check that it's a children's book because I think it would also be a nice gift book for friends Iv l want to support.
Thanks to NetGalley for letting me read this
Yes, this picture book is aimed at children, but its poetic message resounds with readers of any age. The book by Wee Hae-June begins: “We all have moments when we feel alone.” Who hasn’t been lonely, even while in a crowd? Who hasn’t felt rejected? And all it takes is just one person to make a difference. Maybe that one person is you.
In the interest of full disclosure, I received this book from NetGalley, Publisher Spotlight and Blue Dot Kids Press in exchange for an honest review.

This was a sweet book and I enjoyed the illustrations but it's one of those books where I'm not sure who the audience is. There's not really a story to engage and hook children and it's a bit too simple for adults.

I wanted to read this one because I’m a fan of this illustrator, who does not disappoint here. Lovely, though as is often the case, the text may be losing a little something in translation? For me it doesn’t rise above other “kindness” books out there.

One Person is a beautiful reminder of how much impact a single individual can have. The story delivers an inspiring message about kindness, compassion, and the ripple effects of even the smallest actions.
The illustrations beautifully complement the text, creating a heartfelt reading experience that feels both uplifting and meaningful. While the message is simple enough for young readers, it's equally powerful for adults reading alongside them.
This is the kind of picture book that starts wonderful conversations and leaves readers feeling hopeful long after the final page.
What a lovely message about how 1 person is all it takes to help you not feel so alone in this world! I recomend to all children especially those with severe anxiety. Very beautiful message.
