Description
In this third book in the God Everywhere series, young readers meet children from all over the world who remind them that we each have a beautiful part in God’s plan.
We all have dreams and hopes knitted inside each heart.
We’re placed on this earth for a purpose―a part of God’s plan from the start.
God put everyone on earth for a reason, but sometimes we can’t see how we are part of His plan. Maybe we feel we are too weird, too bold, too small, too shy, or too far away for Him to use us.
In this richly illustrated poetic picture book for kids ages 4-8, children from diverse countries inspire readers to see their own unique gifts. With a desire to nurture compassion in every child, author/illustrator Sarah Nunnally invites children to bring their abilities and personalities joyfully to God. As they explore the truths of Psalm 139, readers see how every heart, whether gentle and still or brave and bold, is made to join God in the work of loving our world and everyone in it!
Every Heart helps kids cultivate a heart for the world as they celebrate how God made them!

Every Heart is absolutely stunning — and I mean that for both the message and the art. Sarah Nunnally has created something that feels like a love letter to every child who has ever wondered if they're too small, too quiet, too different, or too far away to matter in God's story.
The poetic text is lyrical and gentle without ever feeling soft on its truth — the message that every heart has a purpose, a place, and a part to play in God's plan is delivered with such warmth and clarity. Rooted in Psalm 139, the theology is solid but never heavy-handed for the 4–8 age range. It's the kind of book that plants seeds kids won't even realize are growing.
What truly sets this book apart is the global representation. Meeting children from diverse countries and backgrounds isn't just a visual choice — it's central to the heart of the story. It beautifully broadens a child's world while deepening their sense of personal belonging. Compassion and identity-building woven together? Yes, please.
And the illustrations — rich is the right word. Nunnally's background living and serving in Nepal and Thailand comes through in the authenticity and depth of what she's created here. This doesn't feel like performative diversity; it feels like someone who has genuinely loved people across the world sharing that love with young readers.
A gorgeous, meaningful addition to any faith-based home or classroom library. Every Heart is the kind of picture book that stays with you long after the last page.

This book explains how everyone is important to God. We all have different talents and come from all different cultures and walks of life. The illustrations are beautiful and very appealing to look at. Thank you David C Cook for providing this book for review consideration via NetGalley. All opinions are my own.

Read this with my little sister and she loved the rhyming, and the illustrations were beautiful. I really liked that the book went through different countries and showed a child from each one and it helps remind the reader that we’re all made in God’s image.
Every Heart is a gentle and encouraging book that helps children think about purpose, kindness, and the unique gifts they bring to the world. The message is presented in a way that is easy for young readers to understand, while also creating opportunities for meaningful conversations between children and the adults reading with them. I appreciated the focus on the idea that everyone has value and a part to play.
