With clever writing and a not only personal but well-researched understanding of what it takes to intentionally create a platonic heterosexual coparenting family, the author kept me wanting to read on. The chapters are short, sweet, succinct, and super useful for anyone who has considered - or is simply curious enough to broaden their understanding of - alternative family structures. As Nick points out, we will likely see many more of these arrangements in the future and it behooves us to understand how a loving family unit can be created outside of a romantic relationship. In fact, the platonic coparenting one he describes will probably weather many more storms than most traditional marriages. Love (and Nick's recipes and experiences for coparenting) are all you need.
