MAX & CHARLIE is a graphic novel adventure through the cHaOs of New York City. We follow our reluctant young hero (Charlie!) as he chases his silly beagle pup (Max!) through a beautiful dreamed day in the city. But there's something a little strange about this place... and we hope you read the book to discover what's what!

This is fundamentally a simple, sweet adventure through a lovely day in the big city, but we're also trying to teach kids about persevering through the chaos in our lives. Its underlying examination of the chaos and patterns in life might fly over some younger heads, but its thematic hooks and visual style will nonetheless appeal to a wide demographic: like any successful children's property, it aims to speak to the kid in all of us.

Our book will also be available as a paperback ($19.95) and as a cutting-edge interactive ebook application ($14.95), which will be made available for iOS, Android, Xbox One, Playstation 4, and virtual reality devices (Oculus Rift). Please enquire for a preview of the ebook — it's going to be awesome!

Charlie is a boy with a huge imagination. When his dog, Max, wants to go out, Charlie reluctantly takes him to the dog park where he can play off leash. Back to his imaginary story, Charlie does not pay attention to Max and he leaves the park. Charlie must head out into the streets of New York to corral his mischevious beagle. From the subway to the streets to a pizza parlour to Central Park, with help from the police and a pedi-car driver, Charlie finds Max, then loses him again more than once. With lots of chaos and excitement, Charlie sees people and places that he has never seen before. There are also some philosophical characters who help Charlie see that he should make the most of every day. One quote: <i>"Charlie, you alone control your energy. Your happiness and sadness ... your fright, excitement. Your Path. It's a big responsibility, no doubt! But don't let it scare you. Sometimes, oftentimes, the goal is bigger than what it takes to get you there."</i>

New York is illustrated in bright colors and amazing artwork. The cartoon like illustrations are fun to look at and admire. They add to the dreamlike experience in the story.

This graphic novel is for older kids and even adults to appreciate the journey is just as important as the goal.
