Having read a lot of memoirs about Americans going to Paris, this is the first where one of them opens an American restaurant in Paris. What an interesting concept! The memoir starts from the painful, dysfunctional family that Craig grew up in. The second part is an excellent primer for those who think they want a restaurant. Craig gives a detailed view of the trials and tribulations of making a restaurant work, especially in another country.
