It started as a letter to my kids and notes to my young staff, all hungry for a more useful, actionable, optimistic way to see this wild wacky world.

It evolved into a written rebellion against the doom, dumb and downbeat nonsense peddled on social media and pimped by far too many “leaders” and “influencers.”

The book is designed as a blunt, how-to guide for overcoming AI, anxiety, doom-scrolling and the insanity of modern life.

I won the lottery: great parents and siblings, a wife of 25-plus years, three kids in their early 20s, and a job that lets me talk to the most interesting people on earth — and write about it.

Everything I’ve learned boils down to three words: You Control You.
