I should expect this by this point- Brooklyn Cross books are a rollercoaster. Y'all I legit never knew what was going to happen next. I honestly still have no idea how book 2 will go.

Audio: Narrated by PJ Freebourn, Richard Brock, Nowhere Eternity, and Audrey Obeyn- I loved the full cast. I do think the extra sound effects sometimes were a little too much but overall, enjoyed it.

This was the first book in a duet. It was so good. The two main characters knew each other when they were younger. The FMC has had a traumatic past. The MMC also had a tragic past and was blamed for something he may not have done. What happened to them and all of the characters in this book is was horrible. This was an intriguing and interesting book read/listen to. It was intense and heavy in spots. Yet, there was a lot of laugh out loud humor where I didn’t expect it. I loved all of the characters. I listened to the audiobook and the most of the sound effects in this audio were really good. It helped me feel like I was there. I really enjoyed this book and can’t wait to read the next one in the duet. I would definitely recommend this book.

While the storyline is good, the full cast narration with sound effects makes this one!

Wow, this isn't the run of the mill, MC dark romance that I was expecting! My emotions are all over the place, I feel attached to all the characters and I felt immersed in the story from the very start. The quality of the audiobook blew my mind too, a full cast who done an amazing job and all the sound effects really made it such an epic experience.

Malice is a dark, emotional MC romance driven by revenge, buried trauma, and complicated relationships. The story hooked me right away, and Snake’s relentless pursuit of vengeance kept me invested from beginning to end. The characters all had distinct personalities, and I enjoyed watching their relationships and histories slowly unfold.

The audiobook was phenomenal. With cinematic sound effects, music, and multiple narrators, it felt much closer to a graphic audio production than a traditional audiobook. Every narrator fit their character perfectly, making the entire experience incredibly immersive.

My only real complaint is the ending. I wasn’t expecting such a major cliffhanger, and while I know the second book is already available, I would have preferred a little more resolution before the story cut off.

For readers who enjoy dark motorcycle club romances packed with angst, revenge, trauma, morally gray characters, and immersive audio productions. Just be prepared to have book two ready to go.

Malice was my first Brooklyn Cross book and EXCUSE ME?! Where have I been?! Because I am officially obsessed and already need more of her books immediately.

The characters. The plot. The action. The tension. THE SMUT!!! 🔥 I ate this audiobook UP. There was genuinely never a point where I wanted to stop listening, and by the end I was completely invested in these characters and everything happening around them.

And THAT ENDING?!?!

No spoilers, but the way this ended has me absolutely FERAL. I am on the edge of my seat and need the next book ASAP because you cannot just leave me like that and expect me to patiently wait. I NEED ANSWERS.

Apparently I loved it so much that listening wasn’t enough, because I already went and bought the physical copy of the duet. 😂 I need these books sitting on my shelf so I can revisit them whenever I want because YES, it was that good.

My only complaint was with the audiobook itself—one chapter accidentally repeated. Once I realized what was happening, I just skipped past the repeated section and continued listening, so it was a minor inconvenience and definitely didn’t change my rating or how much I loved the story.

Brooklyn Cross, you officially have a new obsessed reader. The characters? Obsessed. The story? Obsessed. The action? Obsessed. The spice? OBSESSED. The fact that I now have to immediately continue this duet to find out what happens? RUDE. 😂🔥

Overall I really enjoyed this book. I felt like it had a good plot a really good amount of spice and there was definitely some very interesting personal dynamics and personalities that made the book very intriguing and wanted me to continue to listen to it. I felt like it was very far-fetched that the female main character would go from not being in a relationship or intimate with anybody since her attack to being in a relationship with two men it felt so far-fetched and unrealistic that it was kind of frustrating to continue to read after that, Continuing on the rest of the series of the book I did enjoy where where it went, and how the relationship continued. The audiobook was really good. I loved all the different voice the extra sounds that got put in. It was well done audio.
