Description
Six Dahlia has spent her whole life being told she is too late. Too wild. Too much.
At seventeen rings, she still has no Saren, the true name every Witch receives when her power finally roots. She has no real command of the Flow that surges through her unpredictably and leaves wreckage in its wake.
She is just Six. A number. A name that never landed.
When the Astral Thread, the living celestial root system connecting seven realms, is petrified by a violent extremist faction called the Unbound, the realms begin to die in isolation. And when Six's beloved sister Tree has her hand deliberately shattered by a man from Six's past, Six makes an impossible choice. She will cross the dead Thread alone, at the full moon, into Cristilline, a frozen hostile realm already ravaged by the Unbound, to find the only flower that can rebuild bone.
What she finds there is more than the flower.
In Cristilline, she will discover that some things survive seventeen rings of distance and silence. The Thread connects more than realms, and that the land itself has been waiting for her to arrive.
Thread moves between two timelines. The present, in which Six crosses an impossible distance alone, and the past, in which we watch her find her flow, her wildling Nova, her Saren, and the edges of something she couldn't name with a Wolf who was already certain about her.
It is a story about a woman who was told she was broken discovering she was always just wild. About found family as the deepest form of survival. About a love patient enough to wait seventeen rings and honest enough to say ‘of course it's you’ when it finally arrives.
A Note From the Publisher
Thread is what happened when she finally wrote the book she needed.
Born with an instinct for creating. Art, plants, businesses, stories, community…Salem writes epic romantasy for the women who were told they were too much, too wild, or too late.
Her debut novel, Thread: Flow & Fallow Book One, is the first in a series built around a world where magic listens instead of commands, love earns itself slowly, and the women who were never supposed to bloom do so anyway, spectacularly, in the most inconvenient and beautiful ways possible.
When she isn't writing or behind the chair, Salem can be found with dirt under her fingernails, talking to her plants, or somewhere in the creative chaos of building the next thing. She lives in the midwest with her husband, her stepsons, and an embarrassing number of dogs she would have more of if given half a chance.
She believes the world is better when women tell their stories.
Wild always knows wild.
Marketing Plan
Thread is scheduled for release on September 22nd, 2026. A comprehensive professional launch campaign is already underway. Social media platforms, visual branding, and author infrastructure are being established now through June. ARC recruitment launches in June targeting 100 readers through a dedicated Discord community and BookFunnel distribution.
July will bring full platform configuration, influencer outreach, Goodreads setup, and a website landing page. August focuses on the cover reveal campaign, ARC distribution to approved reviewers, Meta ad testing, and PR mailer dispatch to influencers and media contacts.
September opens with a Goodreads optimization push, NetGalley management, review amplification, and a full promotional tour rollout culminating in the September 22nd launch. The campaign is being executed in partnership with Love Story PR, a boutique romantasy focused public relations firm with established connections to readers, reviewers, podcasts, and influencers in the genre.
Thread is Book One of the Flow & Fallow series with Book Two already in development, positioning this as a long term project rather than a single title launch.
