This was the perfect cold weather, cozy small town romance as we are approaching fall! I loved the town of Echo Creek and its inhabitants. Annabelle and Grant's instant chemistry and banter won me over from their first meeting. Going from passive aggressive comments to becoming sort of friendly and supportive of each other to entering a grown up relationship was a fun journey and I love that they were honest with each other from the beginning and even if feelings were hurt, they understood what was coming and didn't blame each other. It was truly grown up and beautiful! i loved Annabelle's found family and friends in Echo Creek and I cannot wait to see more Neverly brothers!!

What a wonderful start to a new series! NEVER YOUR VALENTINE does a great job of establishing Echo Creek as a setting and introducing this cast of characters. I can see some future stories and pairings from space with the dynamics between the characters (namely Lia and Blake), while I bet others would really surprise me. This book would work as a standalone, but I don’t know why I’d leave it at that when I want to keep coming back to this town and its inhabitants.
These inhabitants, Grant and Annabelle, went way beyond the grumpy/sunshine trope some would box them into. Grant’s experience goes way beyond bitterness about a February 14 birthday, and offers a good path to where he finds himself today. Annabelle’s optimism is tinged with a sadness that seems to remind her to be grateful for what she has now and what she hopes she’ll have in the future. Together, they bring out the best in each other and set something amazing in motion.
Finally, by giving Annabelle the job that she did (greeting card designer), the author set herself up for the task of writing a compelling story, a richly detailed setting, AND funny, grabby greeting card messages. That’s not easy, but she succeeded on all counts - I wish I could buy some of these cards!

I enjoyed this book so much! It was cute and funny with so much banter. The main characters are very relatable, and the side characters are so good. I love Grant's large family and can't wait to read their stories in this series. The book takes place in Michigan's Upper Peninsula, and I loved all the MI references.

The meet cute at the beginning was written so well. You can feel their chemistry and attraction, but they connected with each other so fast. The scene was so fun. I love when authors can write so well that you can feel what the characters are going through. There was some swearing and mild spice throughout the book.

Never Your Valentine by Jordan Bloom is everything I want in a small-town romance: witty banter, lovable characters, and an opposites-attract love story that had me hooked from the first chapter. Grant and Annabelle couldn't be more different, but their chemistry leaps off the page, making every interaction entertaining and sweet.
I loved watching grumpy, commitment-phobic Grant slowly fall for sunshine-filled Annabelle, whose optimism and big heart make her impossible not to love. The small-town setting adds plenty of charm, and the mix of humor, romance, and heartfelt moments creates the perfect feel-good read.
With a slow-burn romance, memorable side characters, and just the right amount of emotional depth, Never Your Valentine is a delightful story about taking chances on love when you least expect it. An absolutely charming read that left me smiling from beginning to end!

This is a love letter written to Michigan wrapped up in a wintery, grumpy sunshine romcom and I am living for it!

From the Michigan cities and pasties and Red Wings to Euchre and "opes" and "you betchas", it made my Midwestern heart so freaking happy. There was a coffee shop I always went to in high school called The Grind, so that also really made me smile.

Love the storyline, the big UP family, and all the little moments that brought Annabelle and Grant together.
