Description

Stealing from a dragon means death. Falling in love with one could be even worse.

In a city ruled by dragons, blacksmith Lydia lives with a secret that could spell her doom. She can steal their magic, and if she drops her guard, her only fate is a painful death.

That’s why she plans to stay far away from them. Especially from Zephyr, the handsome and infamous dragon prince, everything she hates and fears. The same prince whose nose she breaks with a punch.

When the dragon prince begins spying on her every move, and she’s caught in a scheme that could end the king’s life, her secret comes to light.
The prince gives Lydia a choice: be his personal blacksmith and help him save his father, or die.

With sixty days left to craft the perfect sword while forced to live at the royal castle, Lydia will soon learn Zephyr won't let her go without a fight. Especially not when he looks at her like she's part of his trove already.

And when her hatred for the prince risks becoming something much more dangerous, she will need to remember that a dragon’s wrath leaves nothing in its wake…

Fast paced light hearted read. You had me at magic in the shape of tiny dragons.

I greatly enjoyed that the MMC was not constantly seething and angry. It was refreshing to have a MMC that was openly caring and honest about how he felt.

The FMC had great inner dialogue and annoyed me just the right amount with her secret keeping.

I would have loved to learn more about Eos and the king but I suspect we might be getting a book 2.

Overall this book had a whimsical feel to me. It was easy to follow and had a sweet romance that was light hearted and uncomplicated. Id love to see where this story can go.

I really enjoyed that this was different than typical magic systems and who holds the power. It was easy to get lost in the book, some areas were a little too quick though and I would have liked to have more, I ended the book trying to predict what was coming next the set up was great for book two.

Thank you to Victory Editing NetGalley Co-op for the ARC, all reviews are my own.

First off I really enjoyed this! It grabbed me from the beginning and I flew, It is a fast paced which I love. The dragon lore was so interesting and I really loved our FMC, and just her overall journey was fun to go through. The banter was amazing and I honestly can’t wait to see where this goes!

Thank you to Victory Editing and NetGalley for the ARC…and

THANK YOU Robin Clearbrook for giving us a MAN.

Zephyr is officially my #1 book boyfriend. When things get tough, he doesn’t run away, throw a tantrum, or suddenly forget how to communicate. He STICKS BY HIS DECISIONS and tries to move forward. Imagine that. A MAN.

And when Lydia did what she did and his reaction was to STILL stand by her—even though she 100% did NOT deserve it—I fell in love. Like, completely gone.

AND HIS POWER?! Ahhhh. He is PERFECT. Honestly, go read this book for Zephyr. You’re welcome.

That being said, Lydia is pretty darn amazing too. I love that she knows she has limits as a human, but she gives 110% to the people she loves. She might not be able to do everything, but she will absolutely do EVERYTHING she can.

Basically, I went into this book wanting a comfort read and somehow came out with a NEW 6-STAR READ.

And now I need the next part of this story like YESTERDAY. PLEASE AND THANK YOU!!!
