Cozy up with a nice cup of tea and discover an utterly irresistible mystery, set amid the rolling Welsh countryside.

Retirement wasn’t supposed to be buzzing with murder. Former Detective Norman Norman discovers otherwise.

After thirty years on the force, Norman Norman (so good they named him twice) has finally traded crime scenes for gardening books and a picturesque cottage in the charming village of Pontyfelin. With his loyal wife Faye and their mischievous rescue dog, Trudy, he’s looking forward to a quieter life.

But when Norman stumbles across the body of elderly beekeeper Eric Griffiths, sprawled among his hives, his detective instincts refuse to stay buried.

The police are saying it’s natural causes.

Norman isn’t so sure.

He can’t help noticing the dead man’s boots are caked in wet mud, while the surrounding grass is bone-dry.

As Norman and Faye dig into village secrets, they uncover a bitter feud over prize-winning sweet peas. A blazing row in the local pub. And a trail of poisoned soil that someone is desperate to keep buried.

Then another villager is rushed to hospital.

With the village humming with rumours and suspicion, it’s up to Norman to uncover the truth before a killer strikes again.

This charming Welsh cozy mystery, packed with village intrigue and gardening secrets, is perfect for fans of M. C. Beaton, Simon Brett, Faith Martin, Richard Osman and Robert Thorogood.
