3.5🌟This was heart warming and emotional and overall I did enjoy it! I really loved both Crystal and Gabriel’s characters and how real they were, and they had such a beautiful relationship and connection. This is definitely my favourite book of Mia’s so far, just not sure if her writing is for me.

⭐️⭐️ Most of All You by Mia Sheridan

Gabriel was kidnapped when he was six and escaped his captor years later. As an adult he struggles with touch from another human. He decides to visit a strip club to proposition Crystal (Ellie), a stripper, to teach him to be comfortable with human contact. But overall, this was a story about accepting and loving oneself, growing, and putting oneself back together.

This book just did not do it for me. The initial interaction between Gabe and Crystal was just so awkward. That Gabe was persistent in Crystal was just so awkward. That he fell in love immediately was just so awkward. And the whole thing with Chloe was just so awkward. With Gabe struggling with human contact, everything that followed just didn’t corroborate this part of the storyline.

The beginning of the book was okay, then it really lagged in the middle where I just started scanning for dialogue. It finally picked up in the end when you finally learned about their backgrounds, then ended with a very predictable epilogue.

I did like how wise Gabe was, especially considering all that he had been through.

Thank you to NetGalley, the author, and the publisher for providing me with an ARC of this title for review.

I love this author and this book was well executed. I was emotionally gripped and felt all of the feels. Some parts were slow and pacing felt off, but overall I enjoyed the read.

"Most of All You" is a heartfelt romance about Ellie and Gabriel, two people trying to survive their own struggles. Ellie, despite facing judgment for her past, discovers a unique proposition from Gabriel, leading them to share their brokenness. Gabriel, scarred by childhood trauma, finds solace in Ellie. The story unfolds slowly, from friendship to lovers, allowing readers to savor the journey of two broken souls finding healing in each other. While not an easy read, the sweet and fulfilling ending makes it worthwhile. If you're in the mood for a touching and slow-paced romance, this one is for you.

I had a really difficult time getting into this story.

I lost interest very quickly and decided to put it down rather than keep reading a book I wasn’t sure I would enjoy!

Ideally I think this would be a story I would typically like however I am not going to continue with it now.

I love all things Mia Sheridan.

However, I love some of her more recent works a lot more. I could just tell that this was an earlier work, though still very much Mia!!

I really would have loved more conversation!

Most Of All You by Mia Sheridan certainly had drama. This book opens on a sad note as a little girl named Ellie is dropped off to the father she's never met because her mother is dying. Unfortunately her father doesn't want her. Flash forward to present day and Ellie is now working as a stripper with the stage name Crystal. Her life is the outcome of just one Adverse Child Experience (ACE) after another. One day at work she is propositioned by Gabriel, a sculpture artist. Gabriel was kidnapped as a child and escaped when he was a teenager. He is unable to engage in physical touch because of his trauma and wants "Crystal" to help him overcome that issue, as she's safe. Of course, the two have a spark and feel safe around each other, but so much conspires to keep them apart.

I felt likeΒ Most Of All You didn't really land for me. At first it seemed kind of slow as far as pacing. I also found myself scoffing at some of the events because they are a little over the top. Plus Ellie really could have benefit from therapy. Gabriel is a ray of sunshine, even though he also has his fair share of ACEs post kidnapping. Anyways, this book for sure has an audience -- if you like Colleen Hoover, you'll likely really enjoy this book. It wasn't 100% for me and that's totally fine, I'm just not at this place in my reading journey.

I did not finish this one, it was not for me, I couldn't relate to the characters, and just did not care for the story.

I say this every time I read a Mia Sheridan book...I loved it! While that remains true after reading this book, I have to say that this one really hit hard in a way I did not expect it to. With each book that I have read of Mia's I have come to the conclusion that while yes they all end in a happily ever after and we expect only happiness at the end of the story, the journey that the characters have to take to make it to the ending is what touches me the most. Mia touches on some taboo topics in her books that not many authors would dream of touching with a ten-foot pole. These taboo subjects are 100% percent real and should be talked about more because not every character has to be perfect for the perfect story and bad has to happen sometimes in order for the greatness to begin.

Crystal is broken and trusts no one. Gabriel Dalton was broken but is still having a hard time connecting with others. When they cross each other's paths, they find that they both need each other's help to mend the other's cracks.

Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for the free copy of Most of All You by Mia Sheridan in exchange for my honest review.

**3.5 star rating (4 star rounded up on Goodreads due to website restrictions)**

Does it tell you anything that I was sobbing by the end of the PROLOGUE? This book sucked me in from the very beginning and although I did guess one of the spoilers early on, I was still hooked throughout.

The main characters, Crystal and Gabriel, both carry painful pasts, but their circumstances couldn't be more different. Crystal endured a traumatic childhood, suffering abuse and assault while Gabriel endured a horrific ordeal, having been kidnapped and held captive. Whether it was luck or fate that their paths crossed, their weary hearts have left little space for anyone to be let inside. While this book at its core is a love story, it also carries a profound message about the importance of self-love and healing.

What I did love:
Dual POV
Supportive side characters
Small town setting
Character growth

What I did not love:
Unrealistic timeframes
insta-love

TW Topics:
Child abduction/missing child (heavy)
Death of a parent (mentions, not graphic)
Assault (heavy, graphic)
Rape (mentions)
Abuse (mentions)

The passion and love portrayed through this story pulled at my heartstrings and never let me go. It was not only entertaining but absorbing and engaging to me as the reader. The slow burn was delicious and made me go back and read the previous book as I just wanted more from everyone involved. I cannot recommend Ms. Sheridan or her incredible stories enough! They fly off my shelves.

Wow! Mia Sheridan has an immense talent for crafting characters that grip you by the heart and never let go. I fell head-over-heels for this tremendous plot, vivid and tragic characters, and a romance that leaves you happy to the core. My only fault while reading this book is that the pacing felt slow for the first half of the story. Afterwards, once the characters’ secrets came to light, the plot picked up its pace and kept me hooked! I definitely recommend this read to any romance book lover out there!

This book by Mia was hands down better than the overhyped Archers Voice. Unlike in Archers, the characters felt more mature to me with real life understandable problems. I felt the despair of Eloise so deeply. Her story is so tragic and how it is revealed overtime was beautifully done. At first she seems like an unlikeable character but you learn how she became that way and can empathize. Her journey to self love and self sufficiency was truly inspiring and completely believable.

Gabriel. What a guy. His guarded demeanor with Eloise at first felt off but once you learn his history and what he endured, you can’t help but feel his pain as your own. I loved how her overcame his internal struggles and then put his love into Eloise. His tenderness and care of her was honorable and I couldn’t help but root for Eloise to finally let him in.

The epilogue was perfect!! Mia has a beautiful way with them and this was no different.
