Abby Jimenez's "Say You'll Remember Me" is a beautiful, emotional romance. You'll fall in love with Xavier and Samantha as they navigate a sweet but challenging relationship. From the moment we meet Xavier and Samantha, their connection is palpable, drawing readers into a world where love blossoms amidst significant challenges. Jimenez crafts characters that feel not just real, but deeply relatable, allowing us to empathize with their joys and sorrows. Xavier's quiet strength and unwavering devotion, particularly his "acts of service" love language, are utterly captivating, while Samantha's resilience and vulnerability create a character you can't help but root for.

The story's exploration of dementia is handled with sensitivity and grace, adding a layer of depth that elevates the narrative beyond a typical romance. Jimenez doesn't shy away from the difficult moments, but she balances them beautifully with moments of humor and genuine connection. The emotional journey is both uplifting and heartrending, leaving a lasting impression long after the final page is turned.

"Say You'll Remember Me" is a testament to the power of love, memory, and the human spirit. It's a book that will make you laugh, cry, and ultimately, believe in the enduring power of connection. This is a must-read for anyone seeking a deeply moving and unforgettable love story.

Say You'll Remember Me was everything—funny, heartfelt, emotional, and so achingly romantic that it completely stole my heart. The author crafted a love story that felt both larger than life and deeply personal, the kind of book that makes you laugh one moment and tear up the next.
Xavier Rush was chef’s kiss perfection—flawed, yes, but also devastatingly charming, a literal hot vet with a soft spot for tiny kittens. And Samantha? A powerhouse of strength and vulnerability who deserved the world. Their chemistry was electric, their banter sharp, and their connection undeniable. That first date? Easily one of the best I’ve ever read.
But what truly made this book shine was its emotional depth. It wasn’t just a romance—it was about resilience, about choosing love even when life gets impossibly hard. It was about finding someone who sees you, even when you’re convinced you should be invisible.
I laughed, I swooned, I felt every word. This wasn’t just a book—it was an experience. Absolutely unforgettable.
Thank you to NetGalley, the author and the publisher for providing me with a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review!

Welcome to my newest favorite AJ book! Except for a few very minor things I didn’t like, this book was just so good. It was my real life tropes brought to life. I think my tropes are boring, but Abby made them work so well. She still tackled some heavy topics, but this didn’t feel over the top like her last book. I adored both MCs and the MMC reminded me of my husband in many ways. I just adored him. The family aspect and them dealing with a loved one with dementia felt so raw and real.

How in love am I with this book? The characters, the storyline - everything is engaging. Samantha & Xavier's story is all at once heartbreaking, romantic, sweet, and hopeful. Abby is such a phenomenal storyteller, and this one is no different. The family issues make this a tough read, but in the end, it's extremely satisfying.

I am a HUGE fan of Abby Jimenez!! I read everything that she writes. I was so excited to get this advanced copy of Say You'll Remember Me. I love a main male character that falls first and falls hard. Xavier was dreamy in a broody but thoughtful kind of way. He meets Samantha and does not give a great first impression, but makes up for it tenfold on the first date. Samantha has to go home to help care for her mother which was a beautiful and painful story line. Xavier and Samantha have a long distance romance for the ages . The messed up family story line on Xavier's side was a bit hard to read about. Samantha's trials and tribulations with her mother, who has dementia, is also hard to read. But the enduring love story that prevails makes this book definitely worth reading.

In "Say You'll Remember Me" we follow Xavier Rush, a veterinarian with a recently opened practice and Samantha who brings in a stray kitten in need of care. While at first, they get off to a rough start--they disagree on what care the kitten needs and it turns out that Samantha was right--they wind up on a one incredible date. That is until it comes out that Samantha is actually moving out of the state to take care of a family member. Facing a long-distance relationship and their multitude of personal problems, Xavier and Samantha strive to stay together and make memories while witnessing each other's ups and downs.

To put it simply, I adored this book. I adore all of Abby's books, I am pretty sure that I have given all of them at least 4 stars. This story was so sweet while also packing a punch of emotions. In my opinion, it was great that the bedroom scenes were closed door. It really showed of the beauty of Abby's ability to write and cause one to be deeply invested in her story. So much so that for the most part I did not even notice that there had been no bedroom scenes.

While this book had its emotional points, Abby's humor was still top tier goodness. Also, I am not usually one for books that have pets as a main feature of the book, but Abby always manages to do it well.

Xavier and Samantha's relationship was so beautiful to watch unfold. I appreciate that they did not let the distance, or their various circumstances keep them apart. It really as a breath of fresh air to see a couple weather their entire storm together. It showed that you can stick to your partner in the tough times.

This book is perfect for a reader who is ready for an emotional rollercoaster full of laughs, love, and some loss, while also watching a couple get through it together.

Thank you, NetGalley, the publisher and the author for the ARC of this novel.
This is my first Abby Jimenez book but not my last. Wonderful easy to read and follow story. I will be picking up all her other publications. Don't miss out on this author or this stand-alone book.

The connection and chemistry between Samantha and Xavier was really great. Xavier is a great male romantic interest. His backstory and POV were very interesting and engaging. Samantha and her family were very well thought out, at times it almost felt like too much to read about. Tristan in particular was difficult for me to like. Sam and Xavier were so great I wish there was more time with them actually together. The ending was very satisfying and overall this was a great story and very well written.

Don't we just love Men named Xavier? Yes, we do. Our H is no exception. Abby jiminez' books are always my go to! I don't think any book will be able to beat Life's too short for me personally and her books always feel like a warm hug and leaves me in a runt! I'd suggest to go in blind! And make sure to read the trigger warnings as her books always showcase a medical condition. All you need to know is that this book is going to make your day!

Okay sob story coming at you here. As someone that has seen early onset dementia/Alzheimer's tear apart a family because they don't agree on care this hit home for me.

As always Abby Jimenez writes adorable meet-cute stories that have real world things that pull them apart rather than just the standard "boy makes mistake realizes he loves the girl" story lines.

Honestly one of my favorite authors in terms of romance.

Thank you NetGalley for the eARC

After the perfect first date, Samantha begs Xavier to forget her - she's moving to California to take care of her mother who has early on-set dementia and has no plans to move back to Minnesota any time soon. Unfortunately, Xavier's life is in Minnesota, and he's in debt and can't leave his veterinary practice, so the two are doomed from the start. Staying apart proves impossible, but making it work is just so. Damn. Hard. Xavier is running himself into the ground to pay for plane tickets, and Samantha's mother's care is becoming more difficult by the day. When life gives them the perfect partner, what will they give up to make it work?

This book was absolutely heartbreaking, but in the best way. Samantha and Xavier are THE couple of all time, and they are so loving and adorable. I didn't understand why Samantha's family didn't just sell the jewelry that they did find to help pay for stuff, but otherwise I don't have any critiques of the book. This was my first Abby Jimenez book, but it won't be my last - I'm looking forward to going back to read her other novels.

Just when I think Abby Jimenez has made me sob enough, I dive into her next book like a starved animal. "Say You'll Remember Me" will stick with me in much the same way as its namesake. Two people who deserve nothing but the best, but have to fight tooth and nail to get to the end. I went through 95% of this book thinking Abby was going to let these 2 human fall apart and never see each other again. My only critique is that you let this man be a veterinarian and not once gave me a Tess or Stuntman Mike cameo. How dare Abby, how dare.

This is a beautiful book. Aside from a great love story between 2 likeable and believable characters this story also explores themes of generational trauma, who we live our lives for, taking risks to get what you want, relying on family and found family. It contains so much while remaining focused. I loved it!

As a long time fan of Jimenez's books, I have to say that this one kind of blew me away. All of her books center around characters going through hard times in their lives, but Samantha's story absolutely wrecked me. My grandmother also has dementia so I could relate to her on a whole other level. I would also say that this wasn't like a traditional romance novel. While it is dual pov, the story centers more around the lives of these two characters, separate from each other.

That's not say I wasn't grinning at my iPad like an idiot at times. In a novel with such heavy themes, there was a surprising amount of joyous moments. From the beginning of the book, I questioned how in the world these two would end up together, but all I had to do was trust Jimenez.

One hundred percent her most serious book (the cover doesn't match the vibe at all).

You can’t go wrong with Abby Jimenez, and Say You’ll Remember Me is another strong, character-driven story from her. However, this one is more stressful and carries a heavier tone compared to some of her other books. Xavier and Samantha are navigating long-distance love while dealing with heavy personal struggles—Xavier’s traumatic past with terrible parents and Samantha’s family crisis caring for her mom with Alzheimer’s. The financial strain and fight to find time together make this book less of a rom-com and more of an emotional, weighty read. While not as light as her usual stories, it’s still a compelling and heartfelt journey. The supporting characters are well written and add to the depth of this story. If someone is new to Abby Jimenez, I would not start them on this one. I would recommend to those that enjoy women's fiction with a love story that includes a strong family dynamic. I look forward to what is next from Abby Jimenez.

Another great title from Abby Jimenez! Social media manager Samantha meets veterinarian Xavier when she brings in her adopted kitten for vet care. There is an immediate attraction, and a very funny, very lengthy first date where the two are truly falling in love. Unfortunately, Samantha is scheduled to leave her home in Minneapolis to move back to California to help her family care for her beloved mother, who is suffering from dementia. Neither Samantha or Xavier wants a long distance relationship, but they make it work -- until they can't. But there is always hope, and it is not giving too much away to say they figure out a way to make it work. I really enjoyed this and look forward to recommending it.

A couple goes on a perfect first date right before Samantha moves across the country to take care of her mother. Is one perfect impression enough to weather a long distance relationship? (Spoiler alert: it is!).

This contemporary romance was the mushy, gooey, heart-wrenching book I needed. It got me right in the feels, equal parts so sad and so charming. Serious topics are handled well here and there are plenty of laughs, rescue animals, and tons of love. I'll never stop reading Abby Jimenez books.

This meet-cute, long distance relationship with difficult family dynamics was so hard to put down. What I love most about Abby’s writing is how she can write a book that is laugh out loud funny but still manages to cover heavy subject matter, and she does it in such a beautiful way. Also 6⭐️ for writing a character that is basically human Rhysand. I devoured this in one sitting.

4.25 stars

We follow Sam and Xavier as they meet when Sam finds a stray kitten and Xavier is the veterinarian she takes the kitten to. Xavier is standoffish and they don't start out on the right foot, but Sam eventually agrees to go on one date with him. The date is perfect and they end up falling for each other fast, but Sam is on her way to another state and their budding relationship is put to the test.

I thought the instalove worked very well here. Both Sam and Xavier had external issues but were still able to be honest with each other about what they wanted and how strongly they felt about each other. I think their respective traumas probably made them latch on to each other much faster than normal, but their relationship was as healthy as it could be, all things considered.

This story is so full of angst! That's why I'm taking off .75 stars. Each chapter ended with the same internal freakout about how they couldn't be together in the same place and how painful it was. I would've liked to see some solutions present themselves sooner than we did. My ereader was at around 90% when some real problem-solving came into play.

There were also a ton of family issues: Xavier's parents, Sam's mom, sibling drama. I found these storylines just as interesting, but the whole thing with Sam's dad felt strange and unresolved. I think the main strength of Jimenez's writing is incorporating deep issues into a love story, and as always, she succeeded here.
