Description

Ellie (Winter) Wonder has much bigger plans than being a local news anchor. National plans…maybe even international. She certainly won’t be stuck in Ojai, California for the rest of her life. She’s going places—faraway places, grand places she’s only dreamed of so far.
Then her brother’s little puddle-jumper plane crashes in the Cambria pines, leaving them stuck in lovely old fishing lodge with a strange lady who has a knack for making Winter’s mind go places it doesn’t want to go. Places like Heaven, and God…and love.

Brady Merckle leads a quiet life, far from the one he led as a youth—and he likes things just the way they are. Then Winter Wonder lands in Cambria, and Brady can’t help enjoying her company. But she’s a driven, determined journalist, and the last thing Brady needs is for some over-curious reporter to dig up his past. He’d best stay a whole village away from Winter.

But then the saucy visitor extends her stay, and Miss Angie suddenly decides to spruce up the lodge…using Brady’s plentiful brawn. He and Winter find themselves thrown unrelentingly together.

Winter has landed, and a Miracle is about to happen.

Winter wonders is in an Angelic story – literally – God sends down an Angel to help for people to get together – and try to guess what one is ? Come on try to guess – if you guess a Pastor you were right – in the beginning the Pastor felt like there was something special about his Assistant but couldn't put his finger on it – then all of a sudden an airplane crashed on a pair of twins – a brother and sister. So the Assistant told the Pastor they had to go and help and so they did. Brady and Miss Angie were there to help Kai and Winter whose real name is Kolani and when they got there they were unconscious at the time but when the Pastor got to winter, whose real name is Kolani, she felt like she had to open her eyes to see the gentle voice who was talking and praying for her – guess who it was? On the other side was the twin brother , he was even worse off than his twin which was real bad and you will not believe what happened – it is surprising and amazing and wonderful – you have to get this book I loved it.

Winter Wonders by Delia Latham is the forth book in the Paradise Pines series about a beautiful lodge in the California managed by Miss Angela Love (an Angel). When Winter and her brother's plane crashes in the woods nearby the lodge, mysterious things begin to happen. Winter has plans to become a national news anchor and while she is recovering from her injuries she begins to follow a lead for a story as she is also learning things from Miss Angie.

Brady helped in the rescue and has a past he is hiding. In between helping bring together a Christmas party for the lodge there is romance and mysteries. Even though I had not read the other books in the series I had no problem following the story and meeting the others from the previous books. A sweet story. I received this book from NetGalley for my review and all opinions are my own.

Winter Wonders is a sweet and refreshing story of love and faith with a little bit of mystical charm. This is a wonderful uplifting series that is inspiring and lovely. This is the second one that I have read and want to go back and read the other two.
Miss Angie is the owner or manager (not one knows) of Paradise Pines in Cambria, California, where she lives in one apartment and rents out the other part. She seems to have a direct connection to God that is a little more than the rest of us and knows what His plans are for his children. Each season a different young lady wounds up staying at the Lodge at Paradise Pines and in this story, it is Winter Wonder, whose real name is Kalani. She is an anchor for a nearby television station on the way to cover a story when she and her twin brother, Kai, crashed his plane on the property behind the Lodge. Of course, Miss Angie knew it was going to happen and had already prepared the extra apartment for them. Her minister, Brady Merckle, is with her when they hear the plane in trouble and the two are first to the site of the crash. Some pretty interesting things go on with Miss Angie ministering to the two injured people and Brady is a little in awe watching her. A little cardinal is there to help out as well. Both Winter and Kai wound up staying in the Lodge while they recover and both have a little romance in their future as well as maybe some real ministering. Brady and Winter are attracted to each other and enjoy each other's company but Brady is leery of getting too close to Winter since she is not a Christian. However, he has something in his past that he doesn't want to be revealed. Miss Angie guides those in the story toward knowing or remembering what God desires for all of his children. Some of my favorite scriptures are mentioned--Jeremiah 29:11 and Isaiah 41:10 and are relevant to dealing with situations in the story as well as those we can all use in our lives. This is another wonderful book by Delia Latham.
Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read this story in exchange for an honest review.
