Worlds of You

I love poetry and have really come to appreciate the saddening truths they hold within them. Brutally honest, these poems and prose are some of the most moving I have read. Primarily inspired by the death of Beau's grandmother, we can see common used themes of love and death/loss throughout. We also get the feel of changes in relationships in some of the poems with the reoccurrence of loneliness, trust, friendships, forgiveness and longing.



I loved how inspired by the cover, roses were used throughout the book from petals on the cover to inside on pages for a background against popping white text.



A powerful use of language in every piece, I was gripped, relating to so many situations discussed throughout and so glad I chose to review this book as I will be looking out for more of Beau's amazing work.

This. Is. Beautiful. This poetry collection by Beau Taplin will surely capture your heart from the very first page. It’s simply wonderful that I can not stop myself from reading. I knew right from the beginning that this will be a special book for me and I was right. Because until now I’m still in love with it. The words, the emotion and everything is perfect!

I’ve read several poetry books before but aside from The Princess Saves Herself In This One by Amanda Lovelace, this one is by far my favorite!! The book is divided into two sections, Heart and Spirit. The first part is all about matters of the heart, for when you’re in love, heartbroken, need encouraging or facing challenges. The latter is more on self-love, healing and understanding. Taplin’s words are inspiring and beautiful thay they all touched me! I loved it! I adore his work!

Overall, it’s highly recommended! Like, everyone should read this one!

It was an 'okay' read for me. Some of the poems were lovely, some were too simple but got to me anyway, and some of them were forgettable. However, I genuinely appreciate the overall message of this collection and I'm glad I stumbled upon it.

Also, I have to say, I absolutely love the design and the cover of the book.

Worlds of You is a collection of his poetry, some are older poems I’ve seen before, but he arranged it into sections that illustrates his growth in life and love. There were large parts of the collection that were romantic of which some were really nice, but I mostly enjoyed his poems about growth and self-affirmation. The last 100 pages of this collection were truly inspiring and were successful in making me realise that sometimes my self-worth is lacking. I’d recommend this if you enjoy his work or if you’re in need of some inspiration on self-growth.

Worlds of You is a poetry book written by Beau Taplin. Where do I even begin? This book is a flurry of emotions from start to finish. It deals with themes of love, loss, heartbreak, happiness, satisfaction, melancholy, and the sheer beauty of life. Once more, Taplin has given us poetry that is just perfect to read in public transport, in the midst of the hubbub of life. His words are clever enough that a smile will grace your lips, that tears will pour down your face, that you’ll be so deeply moved by even the simplest of his poems.
Words escape me when I try to explain this. This poetry collection managed to evoke the love of my life in the grandest of sense. It made me refocus on being happy with what I have, and it made me appreciate the love I’m blessed to be the recipient of. Taplin captures the essence of the universe in this beautiful construction of words.

This poemario is divided in two parts, Heart and Spirit.

Heart is filled with poems that spin a recollection of memories and thoughts, managing to bring us in with their lovely verses, and Spirit is reminiscent of wisdom passed down from generation to generation. Beau Taplin reminds us that love is supposed to be healthy; great sacrifices, great dramas, and great depressions aren’t required for a great and grand love.
If I were to number the poems that I love in this book, it would take an entire page. However, those that will forever have a special place in my heart include In Tune, The Moment, Fall Back, and especially especially Long Distance. Long Distance is a poem meant for everyone who has ever hesitated with taking a leap of love because they’re scared of who they might lose—it’s better to take a leap than to have never taken one at all. In Tune is a collection of emotions about timing, when to planets synchronize their orbits so that they are forever circling around the same point, independent, but able to be their own selves.
I recommend this book to anyone with a heart that bleeds and anyone who loves love. You’ll definitely adore Beau Taplin’s words.

Once I realized that this was a sequel I read the first book. Now I'm not sure if it was because I read the first book on my computer but I wasn't a big fan it was hard to tell where the poems ended and the next one began. I took that with a grain of salt when I went into reading this book and I'm glad I did because there was
no problem telling the difference this time. I loved this one the metaphors were brilliant and while some of the poems were very short and to the point others were longer and really gave you tons of emotion. I think this was great because I could really relate to a lot of the poems and sometimes i felt like they were written about
me because I understood so hard. I think that is the best part about poetry books is that is all up to your perspective. This is a great read if you like poetry books and if you don't then check this one out anyway because who knows it might change your mind. While there were poems about love, there were poems about life, as well as poems about embracing who you are it really made the whole book complete. The best one in my opinion had to be the one titled "Life stories" It was perfect and I could read it all day every day and never tire of the message. Great book and I loved each poem more than the other. Check it out.

I loved this. I was immediately invested right from the start because of that introduction. The first poem and the explanation really got to me, and I was hooked the whole way through. I really enjoyed the writing style, the themes of love and acceptance, and I thought that a lot of the poems throughout the book stood out. The photographs were beautiful, and I loved the minimalism in the design. The pages with a short poem over a flower photo were so simple and nice. Some of Taplin's poems really reminded me of Madisen Kuhn's writing style, which I also love. Overall a really lovely book!

I am honestly shocked at how much I connected with this book.... like to the point were I'm seriously considering using one of these poems in my wedding vows. The poems are simply stunning. They're simple, yet undeniably beautiful. I related to the first section of this book called "Heart", though I enjoyed the second section "Spirit" as well. I'm 100% in love with Worlds of You.

What else is to be expected from Beau? Absolutely loved the poems; they were simple yet moving. There were definitely some I liked more than others, but the compilation in its entirety is a work of art in its own beautiful way. I expect more works from Beau in the future! Here are the words that crossed my mind after finishing this book.
Once again, my love for words and for potry hit. Before talking avout the book, let's just talk about the cover first: according to me, the cover is also full of petry and she perfectly match the inside: both delicate and thorny, fragile, dark but colorful too.

In worlds of you, Beau Taplin covers different topic such as self confidence, acceptation, the loss and some more. I really liked the richness of the subjects chosen to be developed. They were well developped. More than once the poems talked to me.
Uncompromising, Beau Taplin writes about the life as it is: ruthless but so beautiful!
The messages conveyed were full of positivity and I really enjoyed this! Since the very begining of Worlds of you, I fell in love with Beau Taplin's style. Through this pages, I had the impression of dive into humans emotions. I finished this book exhed, but really motivated at the same time!
As you can understand by my review, I really loved this book.! I recommand you thisbook whether you like petry or not!

Une fois encore, mon amour pour la poésie a frappé. Cette fois-ci, le coupable, c'est Beau Taplin. Son ouvrage a su trouver son public en l'amoureuse des mots que je suis.
Avant d'entrer dans le vif du sujet, arrêtons-nous sur la couverture s'il vous plaît.
A mon sens, elle est également gorgée de poésie et elle reflète parfaitement l'intérieur du roman: délicat mais épineux à la fois, fragile, sombre, mais coloré également.

Dans Worlds of you, Beau Taplin aborde des sujets assez variés tels que l'amour, la condfance en soi, l'acceptation de sa différence, l'absence, et bien d'autres thèmes.
La richesse des thèmes abordés m'a beaucoup plus, ce d'autant plus que la plupart étaient traités avec beaucoup de justesse. Plus d'une fois je me suis retrouvée dans certain des poèmes.
Beau Taplin nous expose sans concessions la vie telle qu'elle est: impitoyable, mais tellement belle.
Les messages portés par ces textes respirent la positivité. Chaque mot a son importance. Dès les premières lignes, je suis tombée amoureuse de la plume de Beau Taplin. Ces 192 pages sont une véritable traversée d'un bon nombre des émotions humaines. Je suis ressortie de ma lecture épuisée, mais paradoxalement regonflée à bloc!

For me personally, when it's a good collection I am constantly writing down quotes that inspire me or take note of entire poems which I connect with, and that's exactly what happened when I read "Worlds of You" by Beau Taplin.

Themes: Love, loss, relationships and Letting go, moving on.
Set up into two parts, part one being Heart and part two being Spirit.

Why I didn't rate this 5 stars: There was some repetition with the poems and I would have liked to read a few poems about more than just love and relationships, which is what this poetry collection mainly focuses on.

Overall, I would definitely recommend reading this to any lover of poetry.

Beau taplin is definitely one of those writers who I need to keep on my radar from now on.
I thought overall this collection was really enjoyable. I didn't enjoy I'd say the first 1/4 of the book. I don't really know why, I just wasn't really feeling any of the poems. But I really did enjoy the rest of it. There's no denying I find Beau's writing beautiful. Lately when I'm reading modern poetry, I find myself connecting a lot with the work but not necessarily finding the writing to be pretty. But Taplin's I find to be really breathtaking at times. That being said, while I like his writing style I find it a bit inconsistent. I feel like I'm sometimes reading from two different styles within the same book. So that's why this is a three star for me; I liked a lot of the poems but don't know how I feel about the collection overall. I will definitely be reading more from him in the future though!

As you can see from the list at the end of this review, I liked and even loved a lot of the poems from this collection. I’ve read Bloom, my first book I’ve ever read by him and I think that Worlds of You is even better! I really liked Bloom, but Worlds of You contains even more poems that I really like and this book is also a lot bigger than Bloom.

I cannot wait to read more poems written by the talented Beau Taplin!

Worlds of You is perhaps one of the most romantic collections I’ve read in quite some time. Everything about this book oozes romance and feels very personal as the author reflects on his life and experiences with love. I had to admire Taplin that not only is he self aware, has a good head on his shoulders, and knows exactly what he wants out of both life and love.

The first 75% of the book is dedicated entirely to passages and poems about romance, heartbreak, desire, and moving on. The last quarter of the book centered on the author’s own reflections of himself about himself and how important it is to love and care for yourself. Love-crazed teen me would have eaten this book up, it’s definitely a lighter read and I flew through the book faster than I expected. Despite some of the sadder themes this book is definitely a feel good read, with plenty of inspiring and hopeful passages that are grounded in reality.

One of my favorite passages was The Fictions of People which was a level headed meditation about the problem with relationships and how people have a tendency to view lovers through a lens of their own desires, not truly seeing the people underneath. This one was particularly notable to me just for how truthful it was about the issue with dating and one that I’ve experienced several times.

I also have to note that this book is very beautifully designed, with some poems printed on black and white photos of flowers. This is the type of book that you’d gift a lover as it is filled to the brim with thoughts about love and has a dreamy feel to it, definitely worth a read if you’re in need of a pick me up.

There 1s much to like about Worlds of You; I read it cover to cover in one sitting. His poetry and prose stresses the commonality of the human experience, and because of that, it is easy to relate to. He covers the different types and phases of relationships well.

Some of the poems and wisdom seemed trite, but I never questioned the honesty or personal truth of what was written.

I even loved the dedication: "To all who believe in the splendor of stars and the miracle of being alive."

Beau Taplin's collection "Words of You" felt so right to me as I read it. I could sense the narrator and feel their heart, the drive to connect, the pain of disconnection and discontentment. The brief poems are easily accessed and understood and universal in their appeal. I found myself wanting this book on my bookshelf knowing that I could open it to any page and feel a connection to the narrator. This collection simply spoke to me.

So this book was an amazing experience as I read. With so many topics about love, loss, friendship, self-love, etc the author created a beautifull way to written all the poems so deeply and truthfull. I felt those words genuilly rearanged in the meanings that touched me and make me realise that my life is a mysterie and I´m so lucky to have it even with all the ups and downs.

I really enjoyed reading this book. I found the meaning about every word, and between them. What concernes about the writting, I think the author make it so simple, accessible and loyal to her heart. So I can say "I felt".

Thats no much more to say, although that: feel that book as you reading it, allow your heart to feel the wounds, scars and obstacles of you own life.

I've read quite a few poetry books since this beginning of this year and Beau Taplin is by far my favorite! His poetry is so relatable and beautifully written, you just can't get enough of it. As long as he continues to publish books, I'm going to keep reading them.
One of the best poetry books ever!

I have come to love poetry due to the new rise of many poets sharing their work on social media, I have become to appreciate the art and the arrow it is to the heart.

So many poems in here were my absolute favorites, some failed with their impact but most delivered it so brilliantly, it feels like it is not knocking on your heart's doorway with their gentle thoughts but tearing it apart by the weight of their truth.

A heart's ache is universal. I love how the smallest seemingly insignificant thoughts are so universal. I like that our pain is not our alone - that there is another soul, far away in this wide world or perhaps right next to you, feeling this exact pain. And that they can confirm we can go on. That we are never truly alone.

I like the book a lot. It's such a brief read but still the book is definitely worth your time. Anyway the author sent me a copy in exchange for an honest review. If you're wondering, yeah this one is a collection of poets kinda book, but I was having fun reading it. So if you're looking forward to reading a poet then I could assure you that this one would suit you a lot.

I'm giving this one four stars, which is a decent rating for me when it comes to poetry. I didn't love some of the entries, but others I really enjoyed and emotionally connected with!

This was a fantastic read, well written. Letters of love, sadness, and life. Quick read, quite a few memorable pages.

In this collection, Beau Taplin primarily focuses on the wide variety of emotions when it comes to love; from falling in love, to falling out of love, to being broken hearted. To keep balance within his poetry, Taplin divides the collection into two sections: Heart & Spirit. The 'Spirit' section emphasizes life in general and focusing on yourself.

Rather than reading this as a collection of poetry, I found myself reading this as if I were receiving advice from an older sibling. As someone who's never really had a relationship, I found that most of these poems gave me the advice I never got.

Throughout the "heart" section, I found myself learning to love, falling in or out of love, and the feeling the pain of heart break. I felt every emotion from start to finish that gives you an idea of how Taplin must've felt during that memory or at the time it was written.

On the other hand, Taplin also reminds the reader the importance of self worth and value and advises that despite everything, the only thing that should matter is you. Once again, Taplin has exceeded my expectations and continues to impress me with his poetry. I definitely recommend this to fans of his poetry or anyone going through the various stages of a relationship.

To start with this was a quick read and so so relatable. Some of the pose just made me say wow. I wanted to just keep on reading this book. But it came to an end. I loved all the parts in this book. Some were very touching and some made me happy. I can't wait to read the next work by the author. If you are looking for a quick read or are just a light summer read just get worlds of you and you won't regret it.
