3-Minute Devotions from the Proverbs: Wisdom for Women

Just what I needed! This is from summary "Minute 1: scripture to meditate on; Minute 2: a short devotional reading; Minute 3: a prayer to jump-start a conversation with God." This is exactly what this is and how perfect is that?! I have downloaded this on the Kindle app on my cell and will be able to reference it daily and often. I am not going to go on and on and give you too much to read that says nothing new, this is awesome and simply and perfection! Enjoy!!!!!

Outstanding devotionals that are geared to be read in 3 minutes. 1- scripture reading, 2-short devotional and 3- a prayer. Good for people on the go or when you just need that pick me up when needed. This is one of the nicest devotional books I have read. However, that may be because I love Proverbs. Each offering quotes a verse from Proverbs, followed by a short observation on the verse and finished with a short prayer. Each devotion spoke to me, as a Christian and as a woman. As soon as this book is available, I plan on purchasing it for my daughter.

What a perfect little devotional book. These devotionals are short and concise. They can easily be read in 3 minutes, and there is a suggested prayer at the end of each one. I found it to be a starting off point for me. I have always loved the Proverbs and have often used them in my Bible reading time. I think part of what made it so special for me was all the different translations that were used.
An example would be one of the first verses “You're a Star! The ways of right-living people glow with light; the longer they live, the brighter they shine. Proverbs 4:18 msg Aging isn't for wimps! ….. The longer you live and the more wisdom you accumulate, the brighter your influence, So congratulate yourself. You're not a wimp, you're a star. Father, thank you for choosing me to be Your light while I walk this earth.”
This is just a partial example. But I chose this because it was something I needed to hear. The authors have chosen the Proverbs well. They cover something for every women whether young or old, empty nesters or a new mom. I believe this would also make a great gift. I want to purchase two for my two daughters. Hope it touches you half as much as it did me.

I love Proverbs - you can always learn something new every time you read from it. I really loved that this was a short 3 minute devotion - especially for a working mom. I recommend this to all my women friends.

This was a nice devotion book. I enjoyed the scripture chosen, the devotions themselves, and the little summary paragraph at the end of each devotion. This would be a nice devotional book to give to any female friends or loved ones.

I would definitely recommend this book for a variety of women who have few minutes as they rush about with their daily lives...work, errands, children's schedules, etc. These are literally 3-minute devotions but that will touch the aspects of your busy and harried life.

This short but powerful devotion was just what someone needs for a quick pick me up. Easy to read that can be carried around with you easily, taken out when the need calls for it. A great way to carry the Proverbs with you. I recommend this book.

Minute Devotions from the Proverbs Wisdom for Women by Barbour Staff is a beautiful, enchanting and poetic book of reflections and meditation about life, starting by a verse for every meditation taken by the Book of Proverbs, my favorite Biblical book and one of the most wonderful books of all the entire Bible. After the little sacred verse, an encouraging meditation and then a little prayer for Lord. For being good, for accepting the life you live, for trying to understand God's desires for your existence and also for understand yourself much better, looking at yourself with God's Eyes.
Bring this precious book wherever you go, after all three minutes of meditation are just a little moment of your busy day to dedicate at yourself and at the divine contact with Lord; but it will make the difference, you will see!

The Rebecca Currington Snapdragon Group and MariLee Parish are offering a book with 174 "3-Minute Devotions from the Proverbs: Wisdom for Women" which is published by Barbour Publishing. The devotions are concise and are divided into three steps, meant to be accomplished in one minute each: 1) a Scripture reading, 2) a short devotional reading, and 3) a prayer as a jump start for the communication with God. The devotions deal with current, real-life issues, e.g. the one for Proverbs 21.5 "Careful Planning" deals with the issue of being torn by people's expectations. They can touch every woman in every age group. The scripture quotations are marked so that the reader sees from which Bible translation they are taking. Furthermore, the book offers a scripture index at the end of the book which facilitates the finding of the devotion to a particular verse in the Proverbs. The book presents nice graphics, not only on the title page, but repeated in the book.

I recommend this book to those who want to have short devotions that are taken from the Proverbs.

I am loving this devotional! If you can spare 3-minutes per day, you will reap the benefits of a scripture verse from the book of Proverbs, a short devotional based on that verse, and a prayer to apply the truths learned in the two. The devotionals are easily applied to daily life for women of all ages. I was looking for a new daily devotional when I found this selection on netgalley and I couldn't be more pleased with it.

Quick read devotions for women in their endeavors to be a Proverbs 31 woman. This is the first time I've read anything from the author(s) and I really enjoyed it and learned from the readings.

This a great book, I love Proverbs. It is perfect for anytime you need a break and have just a few minutes to spend on a devotional. It is a great collection and I recommend it for everyone. I will definitely keep this around for future use!

This little book is a great way to start the day by spending a few minutes with God, learning about the Proverbs. The short passages in the book make it perfect for really thinking about one proverb, what it means, and how it applies to daily life. Highly recommend!

I am not a quick devotional person. However, the reason I wanted this and love this is because no matter how matter how many times you read Proverbs you learn something new which is why I believe God has 31 chapters. This little book can help you enjoy and kickstart the Proverbs a Day challenge which is simple on the day of the month it is read that Proverb. For example today is January 26 I read Chapter 26.

My Thoughts: These devotions are encouraging and helpful! The length is just perfect to read while doing anything and they are uplifting and you can easily connect as you read them you'll be able to feel like the author knew just want to say. And they probably did. ;)

I have been using this little devotional daily for a bit now. I think it is a wonderful book for women who are busy and on the go. There is a scripture, a short devotional along with a prayer. This devotional is for women of all ages and stages of life. Anyone who loves the book of Proverbs as I do will enjoy this very much.
