Now let me tell you that I never give five star reviews. I do wonder if my standards are set to high? I just feel that a book has to earn it. There are only five stars! Now, of course I will not give spoilers as I despise knowing before hand and it might sway me to not like a book based on someone else's view. So, that being said, I absolutely loved this book!! It allowed for suspense, drama, romance, strong female characters and OF COURSE ...ALPHA MALES!!!!! That male was plural which to me makes things all the more exciting. I really don't think exciting gives that word justice! This read kept me entranced from the first page. I do read a lot and it takes a lot to keep me going through out a read. I just could not put this one down. I kept trying to figure out who did what. Who had the means and motive? Has Bella's past come back to haunt her? These characters are through and through strong and don't change during the read. They feel like real people and you hurt when they do! Definitely reading the rest of this series and can't wait till the next one releases!! So So so loving this author!!! Definitely putting this author down to read more of her books!!

Holy hell...

First off I would like to thank Netgalley and Katherine Hawthorne for allowing me to read Sinful. These opinions are my own and I love them!

Where do I begin... from the start I guess. Belle is orphaned and almost killed, but her hero comes to the rescue. Xander a sexy, yet controlled individual will stop at nothing to make sure Belle is safe and protected at all costs. (Even if that means pulling a few strings once in awhile.) Belle refuses to believe her parents are dead, and decides to follow her career in the NYDP. But what she doesn’t know is she will find herself in front of Sin. Sin is a cold predator, who is oddly attracted to Belle. Before she knows it, Belle is caught in between two dangerous men.

Sinful is so sexy; I couldn’t put it down. I found myself wanting to finish it as soon as possible, but at the same time wanting to savor these incredibly sexy moments.

I will say the writing style was a little juvenile at times, but once I got into the groove of things I throughly enjoyed it.

The characters were all incredibly yummy, and held my attention the whole time. I really can’t wait to read the next book, because of this horrible horrible cliffhanger. I need to see the end of it. I also want to see how this whole relationship between Xander, Sin, and Belle works. I’m thinking it will eventually crash and burn. (Team Xander for the win!)

Oh my word! This book was so much more than I expected. From the cover, I somewhat expected it to be a fairly easy read heavily laced with a double trouble type of spice. I couldn't have been more wrong. From the start, this story hit hard with murder, danger, and intrigue. I couldn't believe some of the twists. Even after reading it, I still have so much to figure out! It ends on a huge cliffhanger which left me breathless and desperate for the next book. As for the chemistry, wow, just wow. It was off the charts, and technically, while lots of completely sinfully sexy things happened, the "act" itself never did. Don't get me wrong though, this book was hot, hot, hot, and I can't wait to see where the story goes from here.

Phew...... I seriously underestimated this book!

Sinful should come with a few warnings-
1) Not one but two deliciously alpha males rule this story line,
2)The plot is so hot, twisted and gripping it cant be put down.
3) you will be left in agony awaiting the next book.

My biggest mistake was attempting to read a few chapters at bed time! in the early hours of the morning i finished it with a frustrated sigh and a million questions.
Please please let book 2 come quickly.

Thank you NetGalley and Ms. Hawthorne for allowing me to read your book. This is my honest opinion. Let me begin by stating that Sinful is not your typical threesome story. The story is full of murder, suspense, intimacy, loyalty, and revenge. Belle is a young lady who was forced to grow up and became a cop in order to find her parents' killer. Sin is Belle's Lieutenant who has been looking out for her personally and and started to fantasize about her. Xander is a fireman now business man who has been watching out for Belle since she was young. Both men are in love and will do anything for Belle. Belle is trying to find the killer of her parents and is thrown in to another murder investigation. The chemistry between all three will keep you up and trying to figure out what happens next. I could not put this book down until the end, and then I yelled because it ends on a major cliffhanger. I can't wait until Book 2 comes out because I need to find out what happens next! Thank you Ms. Hawthorne and Netgally for introducing me to Belle, Sin, and Xander. I anxiously await the next book.

Long before our story begins (aka in the prologue) our female main character, Elizabeth, a teenager at this time, shares a brief, but memorable look with one of our male leads, Alex “Sin” Sinclaire. It just so happens to be the night she stumbles upon the brutally murdered bodies of her parents. Within months our second male main character, Xander Phoenix, enters and saves Elizabeth from a house fire meant to kill her.

Fast forward six years and we are introduced to Belle. I’ll admit it took me a few pages to realize that our heroine’s name had been changed. Not a typo on the part of the author, but because she was hiding her identity. Whether this decision was hers or made on her behalf is never really clarified in this portion of her story.

There were so many fabulous surprises along the way making the suspense in this story simply outstanding. Because of that I won’t give too many details because you truly need to ride this out along with Belle, Xander, and Sin.

Speaking of our three leads… WOW. Their chemistry, whether it is Sin/Belle or Xander/Belle or Sin/Belle/Xander, is off the flipping charts. Hot doesn’t come close to the sexual tension built between them.

The author did a fabulous job of making me feel connected to all three of the main characters and was handled in such a way I was fully expecting a scorching ménage HEA. Or at least HFN. Sadly… it does not. The reason I am unable to give this book a full five star rating actually has nothing to do with the story itself, and everything to do with the blurb. There is no warning that this ends in a cliffhanger and when I got to the final page I felt very betrayed as a reader. I bonded with Xander, Sin, and Belle. I was rooting for them. I was left rather angry at the end and scrambled over to NetGalley to review the blurb once again to make sure I hadn’t missed anything and… no. There was no hint to prepare for the ending I was giving.

If you are looking for fabulously crafted suspense, high heat sexual chemistry with a little ménage action thrown in, this is DEFINITELY a read I would recommend… however I would emphatically give you the warning I was not: THIS ENDS IN A CLIFFHANGER. Enjoy all the wonderful bits in this story (because they are numerous), but don’t look for a warm, fuzzy ending.

Never assume a book is just another ménage. That would be my first piece of advice to potential readers of SINFUL. Second, definitely don’t start this book unless you have the time to stay put until the very end. SINFUL is a story packed to the rafters with delicious characters, a gripping and somewhat twisted plot, and the ultimate suspense of forcing us to wait for the next in the series. Cliffhangers leave me cold, but this book has me chomping at the bit and anxiously waiting for the next enthralling instalment.

This was my first book by Katherine Hawthorne and I can honestly say that it will not be my last! Wow!! Just wow!! That is all I can say.

There was so much packed into this one book that it had me on the edge of my seat the majority of the time.

Can't wait for book two!!

Holy cow, what the heck did I just read?!? Don’t let the cover fool you, folks, because it is so much more than what it looks like. It starts with a heinous crime and the action never really stops from those first moments. It’s not necessarily a roller coaster of things happen quickly. Rather, the plot proceeds at a quick pace even when there isn’t major action occurring. What I liked best about this book, though, is that the author keeps secrets, only hinting at character motivations and identities. I lost track of the number of times I thought “wait, what?” and “whoa, what the heck?” But it never got annoying; I just wanted to keep reading to see what else was unraveled. There is an underlying mystery that obviously goes deeper, and (spoiler alert) be prepared for a heckuva cliffhanger. Sometimes a series will leave unanswered questions to be answered in the next book, but there isn’t a burning desire to know the rest right away. This is NOT one of those series. I cannot wait to see how this progresses in the next three books. Oh, and about that cover? Yeah, it goes there. Not to worry, though, it doesn’t take over the plot and all interactions are organic and real– not just thrown in for filler. Great heat, better suspense! Okay, this book should come with a warning label: if you can't handle a cliffhanger then don't read this book! I read it and now I've got my (damp) panties in a twist because I really want to know how the story will end, but I have to wait until October before the second part will be released!
Belle has a very complicated relationship with Xander and Sin. And while she is investigation a homicide of a friend, she is also still chasing after the murderer of her parents. The story is full of action and the investigation is thoroughly written. And when you finally think you understand the story of the murder of Belle's parents... the ending leaves you totally confused (a real WTF-moment).
So now I'll be waiting for Sensuous for hopefully more hot scenes AND some answers! Four out of five stars from me and a special thank you to Netgalley for providing the arc.

This was a fast-paced story from the first chapter then I simply could not put this down. I had to read this as quickly as I could, and I need/want more! It had everything, action, murder, suspense, tension, deceit, attraction to name a few. Such a great story AND the best bit is this is the first in a series (thankfully, especially after the ending). This is the first book I've read Of Katherine Hawthorne. It was very good the twist and turns made the suspense constant thru out the story. I can't wait for the next one.

Fast paced, intense suspense. The storyline is good and the connection between the characters intense. It definitely held my interest. Disappointed it ended in a cliff hanger.

Sinful was full of suspense that kept me enthralled from the first page. I didn't want to put down. Two alpha males wanting to protect what they each feel is theirs. Belle in love with one who she considers her hero while working for the other. One night, giving in to temptation sets off a chain of events that threaten everything, from her job to her life. The ending shocked me and made me crave the second book to find out what happens and where they go from here.

Aaaargh! I'm just going start by saying that I hate cliffhangers! And this definitely has one!
But - the story up to that point, I enjoyed. It felt a little long for what actually unfolded, but the characters were engaging and the story kept me interested.
I did have to jump back and forth a little because I got a little confused over who was who/who knows what, between present day, and 6 years ago, but it didn't stop me enjoying the book.
I will keep an eye out for the next instalment.

Amazing but ended too quickly!! I cant believe how the story ended. I have so many questions but have to wait for the next book. The characters and storyline are really interesting and keep you guessing.....I enjoyed book 1 and will wait for book 2.....

Elizabeth was devastated at the age of seventeen when her parents were murdered. Now as a detective with the NYPD she seeks justice for her parents' murder. The chemistry between Belle, Sin and Xander is hot and out of this world. A sizzling read!!

I found this a bit confusing actually. A nice storyline that captivates and engages as you start to relate to 'belle' whom is ridden with her own huilts and secrets.
Enter Alex, her boss whom has his own secrets and agenda.
Enter Zander, a protector and saviour with secrets darker than she could realise.
The story revolves around those secrets and lusts as the 3 find themselves entwined in a way none can imagine.
It is confusing theway they become further involved, overallnit kept me engaged and want to read the next to have more questions answered but it is a confusing read in places.

I really wnjoyed this Erotica Novel, for a few reasons.

As much as it is Erotica, the sexual scenes are far from the only element of plot, in fact the plot is fun, unexpected and suspenseful.

The Characters and situations are far from predictable, and I enjoyed how the growing Ménage (or what we assume will be) isn’t instantaneous, in fact it is awkward initially and causes some distress for the parties involved. They don’t instantly jump into the idea, rather it gradually comes about from certain situations.

The Characters are mysterious, and with one we don’t find out what he ‘really’ does although it is hinted at multiple times, and I did at several points find this frustrating. As much as I enjoyed the mystery, I did feel this should have been explained.

That being said. The ending leaves the story wide open for an explanation, the perfect “what will happen next” and “who is it?!” Situation! I can’t wait to find out!

If you enjoy Romantic Suspense and Erotica, this is the perfect story for you!

Sinful by Katherine Hawthorne is a book that will keep you on the edge of your seat the entire time! Belle is just a girl trying to be a great detective all while trying to get justice for her parents deaths 6 years ago. But when a night out goes wrong, she will need the protection of two alpha males that she has mixed feelings for.

The alphas are Xander, the man who saved her life all those years ago, and Alex her lieutenant. They both have feelings for Belle that they shouldn’t act on. She must find a balance that doesn’t feel like she’s being toyed with and makes her happy all while trying to solve a case that has many turns.

Xander’s main focus is to keep Belle safe and to make sure Alex keeps his hands to himself. While Alex is trying to figure out a way for him to have his way with Belle and not lose his badge.

I thoroughly enjoyed how easy and intriguing this book was. Katherine portrayed each character very well. Each chapter was written in a different characters point of view. I sometimes had to go back to beginning of chapter to figure out whose point of view it was in. Xander and Alex’s were easy to get confused since they have similar personalities. I also felt that some sections of the book were drawn out while others seemed rushed.

This book ends on a cliffhanger but don’t worry, there are more books in the series so you won’t be kept guessing for too long.

Overall, Sinful by Katherine Hawthorne is a fun, quick read that will most definitely keep you guessing on what happens next.

I fell in love with Isabella and her spunky sassy attitude! This was a great tead quick page turner full of so much story! action packed and steamy! It had me gritting my teeth turning pages faster and then laughing out loud.

I received Sinful in exchange for an honest review. Before I began the book, there was a disclaimer that this was part one of a series. This is always good to know, and I was prepared for the cliffhanger at the end.

I absolutely loved his book. With many of the menage books, its all about the sexy scenes. Katherine Hawthorne took a great plot with a few surprises, and added just the right amount of menage, keeping the focus on the plot. It was very tastefully written.

I was completely surprised with the cliffhanger, and never saw that coming. Now a the hard part will be waiting for the next book.

Oh my goodness! This book has it all - love triangles, murder, heat, forbidden trysts and much more! A fantastic genre-traversing read, it kept me on the edge of my seat, and I can't wait to find out more about 'Bella' / Sin / Xander in the next books.

This book was a different for me because I've never read such a book where 2 men were deeply in love with 1 woman. 1 being a complete alpha male and the other for loving, passionate, and caring, however both very protective of the same woman. Sin wants Belle because she is feisty and it doesn't seem as if her's able to curve this feistiness of her and Xander wants her because they have been friends for a while and he too loves her and neither wants the other with her. Sin and Alex both being friends know that each love Belle, but it seems they are fighting a battle with each other and not wanting the other to have her. I really love the characters and the story line and look forward to reading book 2. I wish there were more than 5 stars that I could give this book

just that. Completely sinful. So much action. So much drama. So many suprise turns. And so much SIN! At one point someone’s lips touched someone else’s (no spoilers) and my poor little box of raisins was all over the floor! I didnt even realize i had jumped out of my chair! Action packed! The author entertains us with a shocking intro that introduces us to the main characters. Throughout the story we see bits of crime, violence, cop fiction, heated anticipation, dominance, submission, and mystery.

In some instances I felt confused. Name changes. Not acting like cops like we see in other romantic suspense stories. Different POV's got a bit confusing. But SIN... he is damn hot! Mmmm

The story is a two-parter so many questions are left on answered. We get spicy heat times two with the two men in her life but yet the cliffhanger leaves us wondering what really happened in the story. What we think is happening just got changed in a big way.

Highly entertaining read. I really enjoyed this book and had a difficult time putting it down. I cannot wait until part two to find out what the heck is going on. Oh, and to see which guy she ends up with… Or both?

Sexy, fast-paced, and full of action. This isn't just a story about relationships. I'm new to this author and so far I am a fan. There is a major cliffhanger and it definitely leaves you anxious for the next story.

I've never read a story by this author, but I plan on reading more. Bella is caught between Xander who is a sophisticated dream that would never be. Sin forbidden in so many ways was a nightmare waiting to happen. Obviously, she wants them both...Two sexy men...how could this go? A menage romance!

Good story that's quick and you kind of become involved with the story quite quickly.
It's steamy and you like the heroine and her two main guys even,if there are problems that abound and arise in the meantime. And be warned comes with a cliff hanger, but it'll have you hanging over the edge.

This story completely caught me off guard. I honestly thought it was going to be a cheesy menage , but I was more than pleasantly surprised. I was hooked from the beginning. I loved the mystery and suspense as well as the changing relationships between Belle and Sin and Belle and Xander. This is an extremely fast paced story with a cliffhanger, but I still recommend it.

This was a really fantastic read and was so much more than I was expecting but be warned it does end on a cliffhanger so you are going to want the next book as well. WOW This book rocked my mind!

I was looking to read something fun and easy going to take my mind off the flu-bug I am currently fighting.

This looked a good option - two alpha males with a female on the cover, what more could I want?  I was NOT expecting the thrilling storyline.  The shocking opener had me gripped and I couldn't put the book down until the final page.

The story includes violence, crime, police procedure, mystery and of course anticipation, dominance, submission.

I was confused at times as both the male characters have similar names but once you get into the story it kinda works.

As this is the first part in a series it does leave many unanswered questions. Can't wait to get into book two!

Katherine Hawthorne has crafted a suspense-filled erotic romance that captures you from the start. By the time I had finished the second chapter, I could not put the book down. Right from the start, she pulls the rug from under Belle—literally throwing her right into the fire. She comes close to losing her life in a ski cabin fire. But the girl becomes a feisty woman, one constantly at odds with two breathtakingly handsome Alpha males who are determined to restrain her for her own good. There is always the threat that is she doesn’t behave, she will lose her job with the NYPD. And if that were to happen, there would be no hope of ever capturing her parent’s killer.
Belle first encountered the man who would later become her boss when she was seventeen years old. Even then she recognized Sin as “drop-dead gorgeous in a tuxedo that couldn’t quite hide his powerful build, he exuded strength and masculinity.” They both had to fight their attraction for each other. If they ever gave in, they could both lose their jobs and everything they had each tried to attain. It was definitely a lose-lose proposition.
Xander only complicated the situation. Sin’s best friend since childhood, they had often squabbled over the same girl. But this was a conflict that stretched the limits of their friendship. Xander had taken over the responsibility for Belle’s protection from his father, a powerful politician who had stepped in after her parents had been killed. As far as he was concerned, Belle was his.
The question was, who did Belle want? Sin, she hated, but could not resist. Xander, she loved, but could not trust. Was it possible she could have them both? How could something like that ever work out?
A real page-turner. Katherine Hawthorne is adept at suspenseful, as well as sensual, description. My only complaint was that the characters where too much alike. Written in first-person, the viewpoint changing, chapter by chapter, I frequently found myself several pages into the chapter and needing to refer back to the chapter head to know who was narrating. Nonetheless, this was definitely a five-star effort!
I should point out that the book ends in a cliff-hanger. Fortunately, the second book in the series is already available. If you haven’t yet obtained the first, you might just as well get them both at the same time.

Suspense, intensity, intrigue, strong heroine, strong heroes! Amazing plot! This book kept me on my toes, or rather, glued to my seat! Sinful is the first book in the Sinful surrender quartet by Katherine Hawthorne. After a night at a ball for the new NYPD Police Commissioner Elizabeth Sullivan goes back to her suite only to find her parents dead in an alleged murder/suicide. After being hounded by the press in the following weeks culminating in an attempt on her own life where she was only saved by the prompt actions of Zander Phoenix, Elizabeth disappears from the public eye only to re-emerge 6 years later as Isabelle Saint, an upcoming detective with the NYPD working directly under Lieutenant Alex “Sin” Sinclaire. Isabelle only has one aim and that is to find out who murdered her parents. When she is personally involved in a nightclub shooting was she the intended target? Has someone discovered who she really is or is it simply a case of wrong place wrong time?

This is the first book I have read by this author and it won’t be the last. What more can a girl ask for from a book that gives us the whole package – crime, an intriguing mystery, romance, heated encounters, domination and submission and not forgetting a love story. A feisty, impetuous heroine who in her own eyes is more than capable of looking after herself although luckily for her she has not one but two alpha men with little to chose between them, to thwart her at every turn, ready to stop her rashly running headfirst into danger. There’s a mystery surrounding Zander. Surely he can’t simply be a tax lawyer and why did he pull strings to have Alex protecting Isabelle at work? Isabelle is torn. How can she be in love with one man but feel such desire for a second despite professing to hate him? How can she choose? Or does she really have to? Can two strong men learn to share? I have so many unanswered questions about this book that I can’t wait for the next instalment.

This is the first time I am reading this author and I will gladly read more from her in the future. Her writing was flawless and smooth. She kept me turning the pages just to see what would happen and I can't forget those sex scenes..HOT! Great story, can't wait to read book 2.

I read this after the second one and it didn't matter at all. Loved this as much as the second, it was great seeing the back story behind the characters. Unlike other books if you read them the wrong way round there wasn't a clear route from what you were reading to where the characters we going.

The dynamic between the characters is great to witness and comes across as very genuine and complicated which is often hard to achieve. Great book and will definitely be looking out for more by this author.

This is a fast-moving & steamy read, all the way to the cliffhanger ending. The suspense keeps rolling from the club shooting event, with developing connections needing to be questioned, and Belle trying to keep her lust and mind clear all the while hunting down the party responsible.

Sinful is a brew of romance, mystery and suspense. This book grabbed my attention from the first page and I burned through it in one sitting. It’s full of twists and turns and with an ending that left me wanting more. Can’t wait to read the sequel to find out what happens next.

I highly enjoyed this book. I loved the relationship between the characters and that Belle wasn't a pushover and didn't just take the guys' crap. Will definitely be picking up the next one soon. (i.e. I've already picked it up and am dying that the third isn't out yet.)

I want angle to download book so cannot review. Had difficulty with net gallery from first day. Now I am able to download with no problem..

What a tale! Belle, Xander,Sin and Belle end up in a relationship with secrets and lies. Investigating a murder leads Belle to danger. Belle is attracted to both men, how will she choose? Both men decide on a course that will lead them all on new adventures and into uncertain danger. A good read with a cliffhanger.

First time reading something from this author and I’m so pleased I did!
This had so much going for it, definitely not your typical saucy ménage romance. Couldn’t put it down and can’t wait to read more!

Zander saved her life and she would fight against crime to find the answers to the night that ended in tragedy. They both shared the same pain. A parent lost to violence. Working as a police officer she would seek justice for those victims and her keen intellect let her solve crimes quickly. Having an overbearing boss puts a hitch in her side. What’s even better is that she desires two men who couldn’t be more wrong for her. A cliffhanger that will knock your socks off.

I have immensely enjoyed reading this book. Its well written. Will definitely recommend. I am glad I was given access to this arc.

Katherine Hawthorne has done it again. She's captivated me with her characters, her settings and the STEAMY situations throughout this book. Can't wait to continue reading this story..MORE MORE MORE

Really enjoyed this book despite the cliffhanger. Not only does the book draw you onto the next book, but as each chapter ends with a minor cliffhanger so you are drawn on through the book.
The book begins with a party at which we first meet Sin shortly before the death of Belle's parents. Belle goes off to their ski chalet which is then devastated by fire. Several years later she has become a first rate detective determined to find out who killed her parents.
An excellent if mildly erotic read.

I picked this book up because it sounded like a romance with an interesting plot. The main character, Bella, becomes a cop after the horrendous deaths of her parents. There is one man she trusts & that’s Xander, the man who saved her, and then there is Alex, her boss. Both are desperate to keep her safe despite all the things that Bella does that goes against anything they say.

I enjoyed the suspense & mystery aspect of this book as well as the steamy scenes. But Bella’s character honestly was one I couldn’t get with. She even admitted to being a b**ch & just honestly became the worse when she kept saying No when even in her mind she didn’t’ believe it.

I plan on continuing with the series, hopefully her character gets some development and grows up.

The plot is good and suspenseful. The characters are mysterious and cativating, was a little confused in the beginning. I like Belle, she has a strong goal in her life. Was a very enjoyable reading!

This was my first time reading anything by this author, and I really enjoyed reading this book, and look forward to reading the rest of this series.

This is the first book in the Sinful Surrender Quartet, and the story of Xander, Sin, and Belle. These characters, and well written, and they have insane chemistry, that explodes off the pages. Their story takes you on a roller coaster ride, of murder, mystery, suspense, drama, secrets, lies, lust, emotion, and lots of twist, and turns. This is a must read! 4.5 Stars

OMG 10*****stars that isn't even enough. From the first pages I was hooked. I could not stop reading this book. Every page turn drew me deeper into the lives of all of the characters. I am know ready to read the next three books and will not stop until I finish the last page of book 4. Thank you NetGalley for allowing me to read this book.

What? Ménage, come on girl get! Such a suspenseful read. I was drawn in immediately. I love her relationship with Alex And Xander. The badass cop chick, I never saw her as week even in the moments you felt you should. She was strong and determined. She is that one person you want in your corner to help you and fight for you! Brought me back to the strength of Katniss from years ago. Truly great read.

Amazing, this was one hell of a drive. Intense story with great characters, suspense, and hot alpha males. I liked the criminal plot as well as the romance. There are still so many secrets lurking between the 3 main characters it is Hard to get the bigger picture. The writing is good, the characters well developed and the chemistry is smoking hot, like their scenes together. Great book and I can't wait to read more.

This is a great opener to. Sexy seductive series. Sin, Xander, and Bella are just realizing their feelings for each other and they finally have the time and space to act on them!

This book definitely had me hooked from the beginning. If you’re not a fan of steamy scenes, good vs bad boys, and a little bit of police work thrown in, this book isn’t for you. Belle has been through a lot in her life, especially since she believes that her parents were murdered in contradiction to what the police believe. This is why she has worked so hard to work her way up in the NYPD to hopefully prove that they were wrong about her parents’ deaths.

Now about the guys in Belle’s life. Xander saved her from a fire right after her parents died and has always been her knight in shining armor. She’s always seen him as her protector and may have always had stronger feelings for him as well (but she’d never admit it). Sin, on the other hand, is someone she can’t have even if her brain can’t quite get that message to the rest of her body. He’s her lieutenant so that alone should be enough to discourage anything between them (key word being should).

But let’s just add another layer here. Xander and Sin are lifelong friends and they obviously have something they are working together on (besides Belle). The last fourth of the book is full of so many emotions and unexpected turns that you’ll want to make sure you have the second book ready!

My only critique for this book is that there were quite a few errors and places that definitely needed to be reworded. My copy did come from NetGalley, so most of these issues may have been addressed in later editions. This is why it didn’t affect my overall opinion of this book.

I was really surprised by this book - an amazing storyline, well written and it has everything!

The level of detail between the characters and the events places you in the midst of the action - all of it. Super-steamy and with all the right level of description of events. Loved it!

When I finally emerged from the rabbit hole that my life had become, I realized that I was on the brink of falling below an 80-percent feedback ratio on NetGalley because I had neither read nor reviewed a fair number of digital advance reader copies that I had been approved for while I was in Wonderland. I resolved to get caught up on both reviewing and reading. Sinful seemed to be the easiest title to tackle; however, NetGalley had already archived the it. Undeterred, I turned to my favorite book retailer and downloaded a 99-cent copy into me e-reader.

I was very glad that I chose Sinful to kickstart my reimmersion into NetGalley. It was a very fast paced read; the tension (both erotic and otherwise) built up very quickly and stayed palpably taut right to the end. Having three first person points of view - Belle, Xander, Sin - telling the story in turns helped build the psychological tension because - just like real life - no one knew just what the other two were thinking. I could really feel just how messy the situation was between the three main characters: in how they each felt for each other as well as in how they each interacted with the world around them.

The eroticism of the novel was cleverly built through eyes, looks, and kisses. The two male characters were definitely stereotypical alpha males: tall, muscular, breathtakingly handsome, and stubbornly ensconced in his bachelorhood. However, I found it refreshing that each of those characters penchant for domination was not rooted in a desire to humiliate the female character. She pushed against their dominance both in the bedroom and in the outside world. And there was no intercourse, despite plenty of other sex acts throughout the novel.

The novel was tense right up to the end, which was definitely a cliffhanger instead of a romantic happily ever after. The female character narrated in such vague terms that I had no idea of who was doing what to whom. Which means I’m rolling straight into the next book of the quartet rather than ticking something else off my NetGalley to be read list.

YES! This book was so good. A very high for star. Had a great mystery set behind it and the story blended well with our 3 main characters. I haven't read a book in this genre in a while and I am glad this was my first to pick up to start me back.

I just want to say I hate cliffhangers! However, SIN is hot! There is lots of twists and anticipation with this story! I do recommend with a warning of a cliffhanger.
