But as one who worked around him for more than a decade, I can assure you that when he's not in hot pursuit of a killer, he is one of the funniest people you could meet. I cannot recall a conversation I had with him in which I was not laughing out loud within ten minutes. Reading this book will be a good investment of your time. And should you happen to have any homicidal inclinations, now would be the time to rethink them; he may be retired but he's still in the biz."
