Sensuous (Sinful Surrender Quartet, Book 2)

Dear Mrs. Hawthorne, please type faster. (Im in agony waiting for the next book). Please and thank you. With that being said, I received an ARC of this book from Netgalley and I was just as captivated by this book as I was with the first one. This series is full of page turners. they consume me. I read them non-stop (well I do stop to sleep but that's it). You wouldn't imagine a ménage trois/love story would also have so much action. So many twists and turns and unexpected events. I cant say enough good things so I will stop now. Until book 3.

After the cliff-hanger of the first book, I was desperate to read on to find out what on earth is going on with Sin & Xander and of course Belle.

Again the writing just draws you in and I was reading through the book as quickly as I could to see what happens next. There is so much going on and I was confused who I was rooting for, I was as confused as Belle however like Belle I was able to enjoy both of them. The scenes in this book are steamy hot.

A really good series and I cannot wait for the next book.

I thought I was addicted to these characters in the first book, Sinful, but now I realize I'm completely obsessed! It's been a long time since I have been this caught up in a series. I find myself often in a book funk endlessly scrolling my recommendations for something that will grab me and not let go then finally choosing something that ends up being good but leaves me not quite satisfied. I started this series not expecting much and worried that it might end up being another of the endless menage stories which have little plot and ridiculously crude language/scenes. I was so happy when I found just the opposite. I found two unbelievably sexy powerful guys who were obsessed with the same feisty determined woman. Sharing her was not their plan, probably not their preference. If either could steal her for his own without breaking her heart over the other, I'm pretty sure he would. The pull between wanting to root for Xander then in the next moment being sure that Sin is Belle's best choice is my favorite part of this story. My favorite series are triangles where there is no clear choice and the author pulls my sympathy and emotions back and forth. Right now, I'm team Sin, but that could change.

Even though this is a menage series, it is at heart a romantic suspense above all, and it's not one of those boring RS books where you get an action scene at the end if you're lucky. So much happens in these books. I completely get my danger fix along with some great romantic tension and chemistry. As for the sexy scenes, they truly enhance the story and make me have to go wake up my husband (if you know what I mean) after -or in the middle of- my late night reading. Some of the scenes are MF, and some are MFM; all are so steamy and well written.

I know some people don't like cliffy endings, but it just heightens the suspense for me. The cliffy in this book is less severe than the way book one ended, but

Hot and steamy and oh so good! This is romantic suspense and it delivers. You can't help but become invested in these characters. It's more than a love story. One of my new go-to authors.

I was a little disappointed after the cliff-hanger finish to Sinful, but Sensuous more than makes up for the wait! The story is still packed with twists and turns, and an intense and powerful relationship between Xander, Sin and Belle. The person who said “Life wasn't meant to be easy” definitely had this trio in mind. I’m totally hooked and can’t wait for what comes next!

The story picks up where it left off. Belle feels she can no longer trust Xander and Sin. Even though they do everything they can to protect her Belle takes risks in order to get answers regarding the deaths of her parents. Seeking answers will lead to another death and to her kidnapping. The relationship is rocky because Belle is still hiding information from Xander and Sin. The truth about the death of her parents is finally revealed but at what cost?

Wow, what a sequel. Certainly was not expecting everything that happened this. The heat of this story coupled with the overwhelming possessiveness and lust from each character is enough to jump off the page. The story has morw twists and turns than a country road, it leads you in one direction before dropping you in the complete opposite right up until the last gasping pages that leave you in shock!

Let me start by saying I'm not into triads / threesomes, but when I saw the first book of the series listed in NetGalley the cover and the description intrigued me. Reading the first book made me become interested in the story and provoked my curiosity so I had to read what happened next and let me tell you what a great reading it was... rising above my expectations.

The author stays true to keeping the suspense, the complex plot and offering surprises as the story progresses without leaving out the erotic elements with enough hot scenes to make even a demanding reader satisfied.

Really I was pleasantly surprised to have enjoyed so much reading this book and looking forward to the next one. I've got so hooked to find out what will happen to our heroes.

In the previous book, Belle finds out that the men she has fallen in love with have been keeping secrets from her, secrets that could help find out who killed her parents. Xander and Sin do whatever they can to keep her. She learns that there is more to her men then they had previously shown her. Secrets come out that hurt them.

Suspense and surprises throughout. Lots going on to keep your attention.

Wow, book 2 was so much better then book 1. This story has a wow factor to it. The characters are fully formed. There is suspense, intrigue and steamy sex. What's not to like?

Book two and now you got to wait for book three???hope you don't have to wait to long. Book two is really good and continues where book one left off and you really want to know what's going to happen next and what will Alex do? or Isabelle or Zander for that matter? Everything has not gone the way it should have, and not everybody will get what they really want. Or will they? Stay tune.

If you think the first book is full of surprises, wait until you read Sensuous! I loved this book more than the first. Again, we have another faced paced story, but it's also extremely heating up as well. I'll be honest, I love both men, but my heart lies with Xander. I just think his connection with Belle is so much stronger and the way they know each other can't compare to anything else. This stakes are definitely raised in the continuation of this series and after the bomb at the end, I cannot wait to see where this story goes!

After the WTF-cliffhanger on Sinful I was awaiting the second part of Sinful Surrender. And yay, finally Sensuous came on Netgalley. So, now I finally could read about the shooting of Belle and Sin by Xander. Why did Xander shoot Sin? And who murdered Belle's parents? Was it Sin's father? Or did Xander's parents have something to do with it? In Sensuous, Belle picks up on her investigation. However, both Xander and Sin have reasons to keep her in the bedroom and not on the investigation.
The riddles continue, when more bodies are piling up. And the heat in the bedroom is also increasing. So after this part, my (damp) panties are still in a twist, because there are still more unanswered questions. So, now I have to wait for the third part to come out! Four out of five stars from me and a special thank you to Netgalley for providing the arc.

This is the second book in the series and must be read after the first one. I read and really enjoyed the previous book and went straight on to read this one and it did not disappoint it was another super read with even more twists and turns it may have been even better than the first one cannot wait for the next book to find out what comes next.

Super hot and steamy! The title alone should give that away;) This is a great sequel! All I can say is please get book three out soon!!

Sensuous by Katherine Hawthorne is book Two in the Sinful Surrender Quartet series. This is the story of Alex Sinclaire, Xander Phoenix and Elizabeth Sullivan aka Isabella 'Belle' Saint. This picks up with Xander keeping Belle under protection and Alex fighting to get back in with her. Belle has feelings for both men but she is starting to not trust either. Both are fighting to keep her but they are fighting each other too for her. Another exciting storyline into their building story...this does end with a cliffhanger to set up for the next installment into their growing storyline.

I took my time reading this book because I DID NOT WANT IT TO END!!!! For me there are..not enough stars!!!! This series has me hook, line , and sinker! The story line of who did it and Belle and her persistent nature. She is strong and vulnerable at the same time. Even after everything she has been through she still trusts these two men to protect her and finally falls hard for both Sin and Xander. She loves both of them, but this book really takes you for a ride! The drops and revelations are crazy good and I just want more!!!! Sin has a way to make Belle feel bad and after everything that has hAppened throughout this book I find her right where she should be. The feelings I have are heartbreaking!!! Loved this read and I find myself very much impatient to read the next book in this series!

The second book in the series starts off a little slow but definitely maintains the sexy, dangerous aspect that was so addicting in the first book. Can't wait to see what comes next!

This was a fantastic read. Twisted and very suspenseful and left you on the edge of your seat. This book had a lot of action and a real page turner. very sensual and passionate. Cant wait to read more.

Sensuous by Katherine Hawthorne, book two in the Sinful Surrender Quartet series. Twists and turns and kept me reading, a high point that left me hanging at the end. Can't wait to read the next in this spicy quartet and more by this author.

I recently read SINFUL and was eager to read SENSUOUS, the second book of the series. I was lucky enough to be granted a copy from NetGalley and BooksGoSocial to read and review.  Here is my honest review in my own words. 

Well…. what can I say?   Sensuous is a steaming hot sequel.  Just what I needed after that SINFUL cliffhanger. 

This is part two of a four-part story telling the tale of an exceptionally erotic threesome - a relationship between a woman and two men. Two men who she trusted completely until she received information that makes her question everything she thinks she knows! 

The story is a romantic suspense, a heart-pumping all-action thriller, and so much more. There are many twists and turns, unexpected events - it is a fascinating mesmerising high-speed ride!

Katherine Hawthorne, your writing is fantastic and pulls the reader into the page!  … but may we ask that you please write faster…. we need the next book!

I managed to read this book first but I am definitely going back to read the first in the series. I was totally hooked and couldn't put it down, it might be a bit explicit for some people however I felt it added to the story rather than took away. Belle, Xander and Sin have a wonderfully complex relationship and it was great to see this unfold whilst finding out 'who dunnit'. Looking forward to reading the first one now.

Please tell me book 3 is coming soon?!!!! That is not what I was expecting after finishing reading the first book. And this book left me with even more questions. LOVING THIS SERIES!!!!

I was able to read these two almost back to back and I can tell you it is going to be EXTREMELY DIFFICULT to wait for Numero Tres! Katherine, how wicked of you to do that to your readers! I Love It! I was grateful to receive a free copy of Sensuous in Exchange for an honest review. I read the fist book, Sinful, and easily gave it five stars with a surprise cliff hanger ending. I couldn't wait too get my hands on Book 2, Sensuous. It was just as good as the first book. However, I did have to revisit the first book, to recall some of the "finer" details. Once that was done, I was able to delve into the plot once again, and Katherine Hawthorne did not disappoint. The good news is Book 2 reveals the killer (s), but leaves the reader with another dilemma. Once again I will have to wait to see what happen next. in Book 3....... I can hardly wait:-)

Sensuous is the second book in the Sinful Surrender series by Katherine Hawthorne and is just as good, if not better than the first book. It starts where Sinful leaves off. Belle is feeling totally alone. After a betrayal from someone she thought she could rely on no matter what, she is left not knowing who she can trust. The fact that she is surrounded by bodyguards only adds to this. Are they there for her protection or to keep her a prisoner? She thinks she knows who killed her parents but in proving it she could hurt someone she is coming to love. But at the same time can she really walk away from clearing her father’s name? After all her search for justice has made her the woman she is today.

This story has it all. Murder, mayhem, kidnapping, secret identities, long buried secrets, a love triangle. Two alpha men who love the same woman. I can’t wait to read what’s next in store for Belle.

This book was way better than the first one, and I am now anxiously awaiting the third!!! Delivering more drama than the first and with more back-stories emerging, I definitely enjoyed this novel. I was also pleasantly surprised that Belle seemingly did not really need quite as much rescuing in this one. What a very lucky girl she is! I must also say that I LOVE these male characters--Sin especially. Ending in another cliffhanger, which I also appreciate, is killing me for the sake of one of the main characters. (I refuse to provide spoilers, but I will say that this ending was much tougher to accept without the next book in the series already in my hands!) A big thank you to NetGalley and Katherine Hawthorne for the ARC!

Enthralling ending to a great story

The second and final book takes off where the first book, Sinful, left off. Xander, Sin, and Belle's chemistry reaches explosive levels. The author's ability to give you insight into each of the main's characters thoughts makes them relatable and human. The who-did-it plot is suspenseful and full of twists and turns, and the love scenes are steamy, hot fun. My only complaint is that I wish the series wasn't ending!

A steamy smoking hot romance book. The title says it all. Smoking hot characters. I loved this book and look forward to reading more from this author.

Read the first book Sinful before this one as it is not a standalone. This story picks up where the other left off. Belle no longer trusts Sin or Xander. Both men attempt to keep Belle safe but it puts her in a dangerous position while trying to find answers to what happened to her parents. A heartbreaking answer comes to Belle after she is kidnapped and then brought back to the men. Will the trio be able to move forward from the painful past? A fast, paced mfm story with lots of action in and out of the bedroom. Cliffhanger warning for those who like to know beforehand.

What a continuation of a novel! Xander, Belle and Sin are back with a BANG in Sensuous by Katherine Hawthorne, the second book in her Sinful Surrender Quartet series. This criminal intense romance picks up right where Sinful left off so it's imperative you read the prequel before diving in headfirst to this fierce novel.

I couldn't quite connect with Sinful (prequel), but let me inform you, I absorbed 100% with every ounce of my being into Sensuous. The three characters within this series are off the charts riveting, emotional and powerfully dynamic. Both Xander and Sin are alpha, possessive and are the most authoritative men that I have read in a long time. They come together to protect the woman they love but in doing so, are they pushing her away, smothering her in their controlling temperaments?

"Xander, a blonde god, heartbreakingly beautiful.
Sin, the devil incarnate, wickedly sexy.
Heaven and Hell. And together... they made a formidable pair."

Hawthorne does leave you with a cliffhanger so be prepared to throw the book, yell, scream but make no mistake I am on the edge of my seat waiting to see what will happen next in Scandalous.

Anxiety is at its highest level while also being suspenseful & exciting! I was at the edge of my seat & couldn’t put this book down! Lots of action going on in this book but you can’t forget the heat!!!! Must read!!!

Steamy and scorching, this is an enjoyable read, full of twists and turns, on tenterhooks from the first book I was so happy to find out what would happen next. It’s a great sequel but now I need the next yesterday !

our story features Isabella, Sin (Alex) and Xander. The first is on assignment and the last two are a major distraction.

Sensuous is definitely the right title for this book. I received this via NetGalley, as well as books 3 and 4. I purchased book one so I would have the full story before reading. Sinful, book one, left a major cliff hanger and I moved right on to Sensuous. This book series is equally suspenseful and steamy. Belle is always getting into trouble but she's got her two fierce protectors, and she can be pretty fierce herself....inside and outside the bedroom.

Each book is non-stop action. I couldn’t wait to read this book and can’t wait for the next. Great characters, great writing.

So good, but so frustrating

This was every bit as good as the first book, the mystery and suspense were terrific. This book centered around Belle, Sin and Xander trying to solve the murders, while more crimes are going on. Also they all are still being secretive with each other so while Belle might be in the know about certain things, Xander and Sin may know other details and that keeps things interesting.

The intimacy between the three main characters was taken up a notch or three. The heat level of this book hit somewhere between sweltering and scorching. I'm not sure if it was just me, but for some reason I just don’t like Xander very much. It could be that I really think that Belle is sometimes an ignorant witch and she purposely hangs all over Xander because she has seen him as her hero since she was seventeen.

However, every time Belle does this she is basically showing Sin that she prefers Xander and loves Xander and not Sin. I think Sin is much hotter and I don’t know what she is thinking but it pissed me off. And though Xander has promoted the idea of the threesome and he even tells Sin that Belle loves him as well, he certainly doesn’t turn her down when she does this. He loves that she sometimes prefers him and he is shameless about it.

After giving it some space though, I do see that Belle seems to prefer Xander when she wants comfort and safety and Sin when she is feeling stronger and wants his dominance, which she seems to crave. I hope things go differently in the next book. I can’t wait to see what happens.

These first two books have been very much driven by the crimes and like I said in my first review, seemed to read more like True Detective than a romance novel about a threesome. Which is awesome, you don’t often get such a good storyline with a steamy book like this. However, now that they have basically solved the murder, I wonder if the next book will revolve only around their relationship or if some other crime or mystery will come into play. I guess I can only read on to find out.

Of course, there was another big cliffhanger, and this one I think will not be resolved immediately. I sort of hate it when there is a huge cliffhanger in a book and then it turns out to be nothing when you start reading the next book. You have all sorts of scenarios in your head as to what will happen and then the first page says something like she wakes up and it was a bad dream. That absolutely can’t happen here.

OMG.... This book will get you hooked from the first page. i was intrigue by the story i binge read this book and got the following 2 books as soon as i was done. Sin, Xander and Belle are lovers that want to protect each other at all cost no matter the danger. I love reading about this characters and their everyday life as a policeman and woman and also a secret agent and rich playboy.

This is the second book in this excellent series and I couldn't wait to get my hands on it having read the first one, I read this one back to back, literally as soon as book 1 was complete I had jumped in to read this one, Sensuous!

I thought that it was excellent and the story keeps getting better and better for me as it progresses. As I said with the first book, this is a series that has to be read in order, you can't just start part way though the series as if you do you will be missing out on a lot of content and the underlying themes that run through the series.

The characters are excellent and I can't wait to read the third book in this fantastic series, the pace and action are really building up and it has made for an unputdownable read!!.

I loved them all so far and cannot recommend them highly enough!
It is 5 stars from me for this one without any hesitation!!

This is the second book in the Sinful Surrender Quartet, and the continuation of Xander, Sin, and Belle's twisted story. This is another amazing installment in this series, the characters continue to captivate, and pull me in The chemistry that is between these three is palpable, and explosive, keeping me holding my breath. This is an intense read, suspenseful, mysterious, action-packed, twisted, dramatic, and emotional I can't wait to read the next book in the series. 4.5 Stars

Who saw all that coming! This book was action packed. Concussions, kidnapping, murders, fires and much more. But the underlying story is one of love. You wonder the whole time who is she in love with and then can she let herself be happy with both. The ending is gut wrenching and makes me want to grab someone by their hair and pull them around.

The second story in the series hots up with its emotional, erotic sexiness.

It's murder mystery of lies and betrayal. All blended into a sensuous, fast paced immersion of a good story, with not one, but two hero's.

Well written, for our enjoyment.

The second outing in the Sinful Surrender series continues with the expansion of both the relationship(s) between the 3 main characters and the mystery that surrounds the possible murder of Belle's parents. The romance is scorching hot and very well written which is unfortunately not a common element found in a lot of menage romances. That said I did have some issues with the 'relationship' aspects as the men went overboard trying to prove their alpha male statuses. I also thought that Belle's character came across slightly weaker than in 'Sinful' and she allowed Xander and Sin to overwhelm her; I would like for her to stand up to them more. But overall I enjoyed the read and was excited to read the next outing in the saga!

I’m reviewing the trilogy together because i loved them so much i read them back to back without a break, and separating particular points between the three would be near impossible!

But the fact that i needed to read them so much I didn’t stop just goes to show how much I enjoyed these! So steamy they’re almost lava, these stories are twisty in all the right places, and the chemistry between the characters may just make your ebook self combust!

Great storyline that surprises the reader at various points, individual characters and gorgeously hot hot sex scenes, these were absolutely brilliant!

This series is seriously amazing! I have tried to get all of them on here! They are so good and yes you need to read them. Katherine in killing it on this story! This is book 2 so make sure you read book one before reading this. I highly recommend do that because there are some things you need to know before entering this book!
This series has me wanting more with each book!!
