This was a very short story but followed on charmingly from 'Devices and Desires', which was the first in the series. It flowed well & the characterisation was true to the novel. I really enjoyed what I felt was a long epilogue
Epiphany
Tilda James is an impeccable lady’s maid to Lady Bellamy. Simon Farnsworth is an ideal valet to Lord Gervase. Both agree that their employers are perfect for each other and decide to encourage their budding romance.
This was the longer novella & was a lovely seasonal read, it was obvious what was going to happen quite early on but the journey was captivating. It was original to have two servants as the main characters & I found that originality refreshing. Simon & Tilda are two hardworking efficient servants who try their best to give their employers a HEA but in doing so find themselves enjoying each others company.

Intimate Delights by Pamela Sherwood is a novella collection in the Lyons Pride series. This lovely book is a series of vignettes rounding out the tales spun in the longer books. Three love stories: Gervase and Margaret, Tilda and Farnsworth, and an excerpt from A Bride by Michaelmas. For a reader of Victorian love stories, these will satisfy. All are filled with romance, all end happily (as a romance should), but the lovers are not without issues.
I enjoy this series. It is reasonably accurate, well plotted, and filled with interesting characters and situations. The series deals with both above-and below-stairs, which always lends an interesting perspective to any story. It is entertaining to get to know these people, and see they are much like modern days characters in many ways. A cheerful, pleasant read for any afternoon. I recommend it highly.
