Great book! The stories in this book were hilarious. It was quick read and very easy to follow. I like how it was very practical with the bible verses and stuff throw in. Really makes it feel like the author is speaking directly to you and your situations. |

"Rejection of the world only brings you closer to the glory of God's plan for your life. Page turner. This is a book for everyone who feels like they aren't good enough, not worthy, or afraid of failure. She is clothed with strength and dignity, and she laughs without fear of the future. Psalm 31:25 Realizing if they aren't God, they don't matter. This book spoke to my heart. I never realized by choosing this book that it would completely change my perspective, on life, and on what others think of me. Humorous, and laughter throughout this book!!! I had to read all the way through. ARC given by publisher through NetGalley |

In "She Laughs" by Carolanne Miljavac, humor keeps us focused on what really matters, by rubbing off all our corners, dusting the cobwebs away. Laughter lifts us up. It is truly the best medicine. The ability to laugh is a gift of God. It helps us to lift up our faith and conquer fear. Laughter, the gift of a profound sense of humor, helps us to endure the hardest days. It helps us to persevere against all odds, even when everything is against us. Laughter gives us beauty when we are ashen and gray. "She laughs without fear of the future." There is always hope for us at the end of the tunnel, as long as humor knocks at the door of our hearts, requesting to be allowed in. Laughter fills us with a beautiful sense of esteem and self-worth. It makes us feel good about ourselves, and in spite of ourselves. The lady who laughs is dignified and victorious, empowered to succeed, against all the odds aligned against her. Laughter fills us with faith and shows fear the door. Faith keeps our hearts rooted in the truth that God is good all the time. A lady who laughs is at peace, even with an unknown future before her. She does not need to know the whys and wherefores. The gift of laughter is precious. Cherish it like a priceless jewel. Laughter embues us with hope. It gives hope a voice and speaks life into our spirits. Faith, laughter, humor and hope go hand in hand. Laughter fills us with hope and joy for the future God plans for us. Losing her little niece to cancer taught Carolanne to surrender to God, and in doing so, she found herself and God. Carolanne's authentic life reflects beauty for ashes. She pulls heartstrings with love and laughter. Her life's purpose is to spread love and joy, honestly and truthfully. I highly recommend "She Laughs" for all those who opt to choose faith over fear. |

I received this book for free for the purpose of sharing my honest review. I read Carolanne's first book, Odd(ly) Enough, in which she shared of her life experiences growing up in Alabama. Humor is an obvious part of who she is. In She Laughs, Carolanne's words offer encouragement, motivation, and hope. She shares openly her struggle with anxiety and depression. I felt Carolanne was being very open, honest, and transparent. Several illustrations caused bursts of laughter. I give it 5 stars and encourage you to read it: you will be blessed. |

Funny, encouraging read of the author's experiences. Only ten short chapters, this is a quick read. This would be a great gift for a friend who is facing a lot of struggles, as the author has had her share and yet still can laugh. Miljavac is a popular Facebook blogger and brings her trademark humor to this read. I was an early reader, thanks to #Netgalley and the publisher. All opinions are my own. |

Carolanne Miljavac has blown me away *again* with another fabulous book! I read an advanced copy back in November, but with the craziness of moving, I am just now able to get back to posting. Carolanne has a way of writing that strikes the heart (in a good way!). As I read through the book, I truly felt as if God was going to use this book in ways we cannot even imagine. I needed it at this point in my life when we’ve been faced with uncertainty about our future, and I’m sure if you don’t need it today, you will at some point in the future! As a side note - another way I know God is in it? We are going through a major move (1,000 miles) to do a church plant. It has been scary to say the least! When I walked into the bathroom at the new church, what did the previous occupants have on the wall? Proverbs 31:25! So, here I am taking pictures of bathroom walls. 😁 Thank you, Carolanne, for writing this book! |

This book hooked me right from the start! This is not your typical self help book. It's packed with a bunch of personal stories from the author that is not only relatable but hillarious. Seriously! I have never laugh so hard reading a self help book. I devoured this book and enjoyed every minute of it. I've been recommending this book like crazy! |

What an absolute joy it was to read She Laughs : Choosing Faith over Fear. Rather than a regular Bible study on female characters or putting herself in the center of attention, Carolanne Miljavac is writing in a very relatable way, yet sharing some of her lessons she has taken the hard way when it comes to Christian faith in action. Who doesn't want to be in control, struggles with fears and uncertainties, and has a tough time forgiving what others, especially loved ones, did to you? Which other Christian author wrote phrases like: "If you don't know what your husband's pee smells like, are you even married?" And did you ever hear a Christian sister testify to have to cut her sports bra off with scissors, after being strapped. Nope, Carolanne is not your average marriage counsellor. Without referencing to Sarah in particular, she laughs, despite fears and longing for material things, expects her salvation and help from the Lord, God Almighty. To laugh keeps to humble, honest, and transparent on all human things, stupid situations, and bizarre encounters in daily life on our quest to peace and love. |

If you're someone (especially a mom) who has spent any time on social media at all, you've probably watched a couple of CA Milijavac's hilarious videos. She Laughs: Choosing Faith over Fear is just as relatable. This light-hearted book will keep you laughing while still carrying a much-needed message. Anxiety and fear of the future is something that so many of us struggle with. Carolanne reminds us that having anxiety doesn't mean we aren't trusting Jesus; it just means we live in a fallen world. She Laughs is a book I'll be recommending to my friends and coming back to read again. *I received a copy of She Laughs through the publisher and Netgalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own. |

Carolanne Miljavac has to be one of my absolute favorite nonfiction authors, and she doesn't disappoint in this new book. Mrs. Miljvac truly believes that laughter is the best form of medicine. She hasn't had an easy life, but she has strength in spades and helps us to see how we can get through our trials just like she did. She is vulnerable and personable as she shares her life stories, how she has laughed through them, and grown through them. As always Carolanne wants to encourage you in your daily life, in your walk with God, and in learning your identity in Christ. I would recommend every woman read this book. After all, we all need to learn how to laugh at ourselves. |
