Description

The Story Behind the Bible trilogy weaves a magnetic journey through the ancient texts and revelations of the Bible that are NOT REVEALED IN CHURCHES OR RELIGIOUS UNIVERSITIES. Believers and non-believers alike CAN HANDLE THE TRUTH of the biblical canon. It's a journey that can draw readers into a universe that is larger and more incredible than they ever thought possible.

A highly comprehensive overview of the entire Bible, the trilogy also proves that the prophets of scripture made impossible and miraculous predictions and prophecies concerning future events, including our current era, and virtually proves that God's hand steers the broad stream of world history.

Now, over two thousand years hence, much of scripture has been misinterpreted, misapplied, or simply lost to traditions and folklore. The books address those issues with commentary and doctrine, and, through the elegant story and amazing people of the New Testament, bring the biblical story to a triumphant end.

I cant claim to know the Bible or if every word that the author said is correctly stated as Gospel, but I took my time reading this and looked up things, but did I verify everything that he claimed, NOPE. But, I have to say I liked how he wrote and I understood a lot of what he wrote. I just started going back to church again about 4 years ago and prior to that it was on and off for about 30 years so I am not a Bible thumper at all. I do not know much except for my belief in God and Jesus and that I know that I love my Almighty Father and that Jesus died for our sins. Basically, I like the flow of the book and I cant say that I agreed with every single thing that the author wrote because of my own religion, but as long as we all believe in the same premise is all that is what matters to me. We all believe in God and that is what is important and we believe in being good and overcoming evil at the end of our lives. So the little things shouldn’t really matter. I liked the fact that I understood the book and I do think that people can take this book and get the jest of what is going on and go from there and that is what is vital. The main premise.
I received an advanced copy from NetGalley and I willingly give my thoughts and opinions.

The Story Behind the Bible by J.K. Alexander I appreciated from the start. The book provides significant insight into the events of the Old Testament with a particular emphasis on the "Torah". The author's ability to look deeper than the obvious became a reality in his book. Any person who enjoys history but aims to look at the Biblical events from various viewpoints most definitely will enjoy the reading. The book remains a long read and therefore requires time to study, re-look and investigate.

The author makes it clear, that the opinions in the book align with his thoughts. The contents make space available for any person to use the data and develop their own interpretations as well. The easy to read writing style creates a story of the Bible accessible to any person who wants to learn about these events, or just enjoy reading Biblical history.

I have to agree with the reviews that have gone previously. The work is scholarly and clear. The analysis is of exceptional quality. No matter what your theological point of view, this book brings fresh illumination to old and familiar text. I think that all sections of the Christian and non-Christian community will find this invaluable.

I really needed this book. At one point I decided I ws going to read the Bible from start to finish. Well, I didnt make it. I tried several times and always for one reason or another stopped. The fact that I didnt accomplish what I set out to do bothered me. I always longed to know what the Bible and said and what was the order and mening in the books. This title explained it to me in a way Ive never heard done before. I now have an understanding of the why, what , who, and how of the most important book in history. Written in a way that brings in interesting tidbits of information that made me want to finish this book in a few days. I truly loved this title and am smarter and wiser for reading it.

An interesting cross-referencing of the emergence of the holy bible, with theological evidence from the Hebrew bible to back it up. This book takes you to the foundation of the books of the bible, which has been systematically dissected and put back together by the author. This book offers revelations on the already written word and all its mysteries.

J.K. Alexander gives an interesting but divergent view on many aspects of the Bible and its history. If you are interested in reading something different than the usual books on how the Bible and its books were written, put together, and/or chosen I would recommend this book. I found it to be a thought-provoking read that provides alternative theory and sometimes controversial thinking.. Read this book if you are interested in Bible history and the theory behind its writing and origins.

This is a good book for people interested in learning about religion and the bible. This is a trilogy of three separate books. Book 1: the Torah, Book 2: the Prophets and book 3: The new covenant.

This is a good gift for anyone that enjoys reading as a way to enlighten their understanding of difficult subjects. It's long but holds your interest. I received a copy of this ARC in exchange for a fair and honest review.
