To save two cat families from nasty fates, a young cowgirl and her trusty mare must pull out all the stops!

Moxie Wyoming Woodson loves working with her horse Misty to protect innocent animals. After their latest rescue, the cowgirl invites her best friend over for a barn sleepover only to discover a feral cat and her kittens searching for safety. As Moxie takes on the responsibility of helping the young family survive, she panics when she discovers the mama cat and her kittens missing.

Hoping she can quickly track down the cute balls of fur, Moxie turns to Misty and her magical powers for help. But when she’s also asked to help a colony of city cats in trouble, the animal lover and her friends must launch into action. Now they have not one, but two daring animal rescues to pull off, and the clock is ticking.

Just like the first book in this series, my eleven year old devoured it. She loves horses and thought this was a great book. Now, my nine-year-old is reading it and doesn't want to put it down. If you have kids who like horses, this is a great choice.

It actually took me a long time to read this book because of my job. It was a nice read that talks about animal rescue. It was mostly about feral cats. Honestly, it doesn't have that much impact on me but I still like it. It teaches kids how to care for animals, how to tame the wild ones and it also teaches them how to be responsible. Recommended for older kids and animal lovers.

This book was chosen because my 10 year old great granddaughter loves horses and riding. I first thought she would not enjoy it because of the fantasy, but the more I read, the more I enjoyed it. Saving animals seems to touch everyone's heart. I think elementary girls will enjoy this book.

This is a wonderful book that any age animal lover will love! What could be better than a little girl with a pair of magical pink cowgirl boots, a horse that can fly and they rescue abused animals. This is a well written book that is full of adventure, excitement and animals. I highly recommend this book. Thank you Niki Danforth and BooksGoSocial via NetGalley for the complimentary copy of this book. I loved it! All opinions expressed are my own. 5 stars all the way!

**I received an e-ARC from NetGalley for an honest review**

This story has everything that I would have loved as a kid- a girl, her magical horse, and together they rescue abused animals!

This reads like a modern day (magical) western. It would be a great book to give any kid who is interested in animal rescue, or even animals in general. There's some information given after the story that goes into more detail about feral cats (and some cute pictures as well). There is even an article about the real Misty and Moxie Wyoming the book is based upon.

Overall, it's cute, but maybe a little long for some middle grade readers. But it's about animals, so any animal lover will probably sit down and not stop reading until the book is done!

Nice children's story. I enjoyed Misty (horse) and Moxie (the girl). Magic is involved in their saving of other animals. This book gave me a nice break from my regular reading.

Thank you to the author, publisher and NetGalley for my eARC in exchange for an honest review.

Moxie, her horse Misty, and her friend Dizzy are on a mission of rescuing abuse animals from farms, homes, even strays. They take them to a place, a sanctuary where magic is the only means of getting there. Here they get to roam free and live out the rest of their lives peacefully without fear. Everything about this sanctuary was magical, which includes the animals they became younger and started speaking. This book takes you on a magical adventure like no other with Moxie and her magical animal friends.

Moxie is riding Misty as she takes a herd of Mustangs (horses) into a secret place where they will be safe. Dizzie, her friend gives her a book that is more than a book. Moxie discovers that there are more helpers than just her. Moxie rides home and helps with the chores that need to be done. She goes to her room in the barn to look at her new book. She hears a noise and finds a mama cat with her kittens hiding in the barn. Moxie calls her friend to find out how to help the kittens when mama cat appears to be missing. She learns that she probably went off for a little while and will be back. She also discovers that a person in New York is taking care of cats and kitten living under a construction trailer. The cats need to get a new home before someone takes the cats away. Will Moxie be able to get there in time to save them?

Moxie and Misty have an adventure that comes with some surprises that kept me involved with what was going to happen. The author has written a story about feral cats and how they are different from the cats that live in our homes as pets. Feral cats are different yet similar to pet cats. In this story, the author also speaks about cat rescues and what they are. It’s a terrific novel to read regardless of age!

Moxie and her horse, Misty, have a special relationship. They can talk to each other and they like cats.

BooksGoSocial and Net Galley let me read this book for review (thank you). It has been published so you can get a copy now.

This is written for intermediate readers. It has plenty of magic and lots of animals to entertain them.

If Moxie wears her pink cowboy books Misty can fly. That's handy when they want to take a long trip. Besides that, she has a whistle that summons a grizzly bear. He's her friend, too.

When they go to big city to help save some feral cats, she and her human friend get in an argument with adults that intend to euthanize cats. She blows on her whistle and the grizzly keeps them hiding in a doorway and out of Moxie's way.

It's fascinating how they get in to a nature reserve for the animals. And she has book that can transform to a tablet.

It's a good tale with lots of fantasy.

I enjoyed this book geared to the elementary school level and probably would have loved the series when I was that age as it features a girl, her horse (I wanted one so badly!) and lots of animal adventures. The drawings are cute and go with the story really well. It is full of good information concerning stray animals, feral cats and the need to spay and rescue groups and people with bashing you over the head with it. Moxie is smart, responsible and has a bit of magic in her. I thank #netgalley and the publisher for #runawayrescue to read and review.
