The Love Poems of Rumi

I love the poetry of Rumi . This book spoke to my soul . I see little sayings by Rumi all the time and it's like everyone of them speak on an experience I've had in my life. Very well written and to understand. All literature lovers must read . Rumi is one of my top favorite.

I read The Spiritual Poems of Rumi (another translation from Khalili), but this collection felt more spiritual. It spoke more to me. I definitely would like to have them both in the future.

I really enjoyed reading this poetry collection. Each individual poem has it's own charm, but relate to eachother in a sort of living, breathing harmony. Rumi is exceptionally talented at portraying utter devotion to his subject. It made me want to go confess my love to someone. The majority of these poems are short, but impactful. I have a particular love for the imagery used in Classical poetry and so I enjoyed the poems where this was used the most. Rumi is skilled at knowing where this is appropriate to be used, and thus his poems are not overly flowery.
To the best of my knowledge, the translation is well done.
I read this collection over the course of several days, and I found that the poems began to get a little repetitive, hence why I have only given this review 4/5. I appreciate the validity of repetition in poetry but this got a little samey and I wished there had been a little more variety.
Overall, this is a very solid collection of Rumi's work. I particularly liked 'Dawn Again and Morning' and the 'Love Is' series. I would like to explore some more of Rumi's work in the future.

This is a collection of translated poetries, originally written in by a court poet, Jalaluddin Rumi. This book contains all the love poems of Rumi. Rumi is considered as the greatest Persian mystic poet.
Each poetry is unique and interesting.
I found the poetries delightful and intricate, lyrical and touching. His writing style totally mesmerizes the mind of the readers. The translator has done amazing job of capturing the poet's sentiment in in this book.

I was so excited to receive a copy of this book. I have always loved Rumi's poems and this was a wonderful compilation of his poems. I would love to get this in a print copy to keep as a coffee table book and flip through every once in a while. Highly recommend!

In Rumi's trademark style, there is joyfulness and musicality filling every page.

Beautifully translated by Nader Khalili in a modern fashion, these poems reveal so much: lessons and pieces of advice, reasons to keep your hopes up, reasons to keep going and so much more. Every poem speaks to you on a personal level. This is that kind of book that you keep close, open it from time to time and receive the sign you've been asking for. Perfect for lovers, single people, people interested in spirituality (as there are mentions of God since the poet was a mystic), really perfect for anyone to enjoy his words.

This edition has a lovely, colorful graphic, transporting the reader a little into Rumi's World. An enchanting book to have, to give and to cherish, I highly recommend it!

This is my first experience from Rumi, so when I saw this book here. I didn't give it a second thought. And I am glad I read it.
Full of emotions, thoroughly romantic, I would suggest it to any poetry lover as well as to a sucker of romance. I liked the work of the translator. the whole experience was amazing

This beautiful collection of poems by Rumi capture the spiritual essence of love. Freedom, ecstasy, self-love, and purity, colour and code each poem with words and thoughts that speak to the depths of heart and soul. Hopeless romantics and lovers will find solace in these poems which bring to light the multi-dimensional beauty of love.

The translations by Nader Khalili bring out a richer symbolism from the poems compared to other translations. Believe me when I say you will bookmark and revisit many of these poems time and time again.

Delightful I love Rumi. This collection of love poems will absolutely move you, change you, reinvent you. I would highly recommend this work.

It is always a pleasure to read Rumi's poetry. These poems are quite straight forward and don't seem to have the greater hidden meaning that Rumi's poems are well known for. However I enjoyed the simplicity, and the short succinct manner in which the poems are delivered.

The visuals and the colourful borders are an additional bonus and I would recommend it for all poetry fans to read it !

Love Rumi’s work as always. These collections were much different from her other work’s I’ve read. Almost as if there is growth developed by the writer. I really related with many of the words spoken to me. I look forward to the final publication!

The Love poems of Persian mystic poet Rumi is a lovely contemplative book full of short but very impactful poems on the spiritual side of love. They are best read slowly and over time to allow yourself to digest them and contemplate their meaning. The colourfully patterned pages enhance the book and encourage you to spend time with each poem. This is a book to be kept on the bedside table and dipped into often. A very good translation and selection of poems.

I hadn't previously read many of Rumi's poems, much less his love poems. His writing is lyrical, fluid, and packs meaning into a few short stanzas. His writing could be seen with different perspectives — I read the book twice through and found something different within each poem. I really liked the way the book was split into two parts, with the first part entwining themes of love with the fire of yearning and falling in love. The second half completed the book by centering around life after love. I loved seeing the balance between the two sides of love, and I felt the colorful spreads of each page added to the general vibe of the book. I would definitely recommend this book of poems to anyone who enjoys Rumi's work and wants to read more of his love poems.

I love Rumi's poetry, the language is just so beautiful and flowing, and this is a wonderful collection of his work. The illustrations of this edition are gorgeous - it would make a great coffee table book or something to keep on your bedside table to start and end the day. I can't wait to get a physical copy to have in my home.

It is a very attractive compilation, the design and layout are beautiful, and 99% of the poems made me smile. Only a very few seemed far-fetched or that they didn't belong at all to this book because of the subject. However, reading this book is an experience that takes you through all facets of love, attraction, desire, tenderness, and acceptance. From need to dementia, through nostalgia and bliss, it is a book that makes you daydream.

I enjoyed reading this poetry collection. The theme is love and the translator did an amazing job. I also enjoyed the patterned pages, which made the reading more interesting.

Seriously in love with everything Rumi writes. They can do absolutely no wrong. Beautiful insightful page turning. Highly recommend. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Beautifully written, poetry that makes you reflect on what love is and what it means to be in love it's heavy to get through as it is a translation after all but still beautiful.

This little book, "The Love Poems of Rumi", is an utterly gorgeous edition that contains beautiful translations, I would totally gift this to a friend!!

I've been a fan of Rumi's poetry for many years and thought this collection was a beautiful selection of his work. Those familiar with his words will love it, as will those just discovering his verse.
