This story is so full of heart, you can't help but fall in love with all the characters and wish you could go stay at Hope Ranch as well! Add in the fact that it's Christmas time and all the magic of the season is in full force.

The story doesn't entirely focus on Addison and Wade's romance but instead it also focuses on the generosity of a small village, what home really means to some and letting go of past hurts, as well as reuniting families. Throw in a few twists and turns and you've got a story well worth reading!

I received an ARC of this book via NetGalley and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

I was looking for a light read and Christmas at Hope Ranch delivered. It is a feel good read with the obvious main romance storyline, but also smaller stories woven into the courtship of Addison and Wade. If half stars were allowed, I would give this 3.5 stars. If you are a lover of romance, this book fits the bill. I’m sure it would have wrapped around me tighter if I had read it around December, but I still enjoyed the story.

I really enjoyed Addison and Wades story. Both had issues but they never took over the story. The romance was great and so were the minor characters. It was fun reading this Christmas story in February.

Christmas at Hope Ranch. By Loretta C. Rogers. 2020. The Wild Rose Press, Inc (ARC eBook).

After a nasty fall on the runway and a crushing breakup, model Addison James returns to the only home she had growing up as a foster child—Hope Ranch. It’s been years since she’s been in contact with her foster mother, Nell Hopewell. But Nell isn’t as spry as she use to be and the house isn’t quiet as Nell has just taken in twins who are hoping their mom will come for them by Christmas. So Addison better pull her own weight around the ranch, or so the handsome Sheriff, Wade Grey, has warned her.

Christmas at Hope Ranch is full of a lot of heart and characters overcome grief and loss and form new families. It is a good romance for those looking for some Christmas magic.

Famous model Addison James returns to her hometown to heal from a near-fatal accident and a broken heart. She meets Sheriff Wade Grey and at first they are at odds. But his ex- wife comes back to cause trouble. I enjoyed seeing this story come together. This is a new Author to me.

3.5 stars

This was a cute book about new beginnings, forgiveness, trusting again and letting go of the past. But let me say this also - at different points in the book, I seriously despised both of the main characters, Addison & Wade. Yes, both of them. Addison was a total b&$ch at the beginning of the book - a total prima donna. She was a famous model who had suffered a work related accident that left her face with a 4" cut - and leaving a scar there would be career ending. She had grown up in a group foster home after her mother abandoned her at the toddler age. She had also just broken up with her fiancee after finding him having sex with the matron of honor only one hour before their wedding.

Wade was also a foster child though he didn't know Addison when they were growing up. He had been adopted by the time she came to the group home. He was currently the sheriff in town, but he had some serious issues with his ex-wife. Let me lay this out there - if I kissed a guy for the first time and he whispered his ex-wife's name, there would be no second kiss. I'm just saying. And then later in the book, he starts to question his feelings for his ex-wife. You know what - go ahead and get back with her. I'm over him.

I liked this book for the most part, but I seriously wish that those character flaws hadn't been built in to the two main characters. But I guess that imitates real life - it's just not how I want to read my books.

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. The opinions stated above are mine without biases.

I really enjoyed this story. It was well written and the characters were wonderful. There was one somewhat graphically detailed sex scene towards the end of the book. I am one who prefers the behind closed doors approach and not to read the details of one's sex life, but otherwise enjoyed the story very much.

Addison James had been abandoned in a bus station when she was very young and she grew up with Aunt Nell's foster family. Nell wasn't really her aunt but she was a wonderful woman who took in foster children and made a home for them. Addison had been bitter and couldn't wait to get away and as soon as she was old enough, she left. She made a big name for herself in the modeling world until her life literally came crashing down and she was seriously injured in a runway collapse accident. She returned to Aunt Nell's to recover and lick her wounds.

Sheriff Wade Grey had also been an orphan, along with his twin sister. They were lucky enough to be adopted by the Grey's. He had his own heartache to deal with with the devastating end to his marriage and his daughter's life.

This is a sweet story of healing with a happy ending around the Christmas holiday.

I was given an arc copy of this book and I willingly offer my honest review.
