A lot of great recipes. I am new Keto and was looking for something to cook on the grill I like that it includes rubs and marinates. I will definitely be making some of these recipes. My only issue is that I wish there was more pictures. I would love a cookbook with a photo for each recipe.

Keto BBQ by Faith Gorsky & Lara Clevenger contains over 100 Keto friendly recipes, as well as information on the Keto Diet and tips.
The photos in the book are beautiful and complement the recipes well. I'm glad that the nutritional information is included for each recipe. Overall, I think the recipes sound appetizing and are reasonably easy to make.
The recipes are broken down into numerous types. I did not know that Coffee Dry Rub was a thing and I can't wait to try it! The book opens with Dry Rubs, Brines & Marinades, Barbecue Sauces and Glazes, and Condiments. I think that is a great starting point and it makes the most sense.
Next, you will find the recipes divided by types of meat, such as Barbecue Pork, Barbecue Chicken & Turkey, Barbecue Beef, Sausage and Hot Dogs, and Barbecue Seafood.
The book ends with the chapters for Salads, Side Dishes, Drinks, and Desserts.
I look forward to trying some of these recipes at home!

This is a good keto cookbook similar to the other keto books by this publisher. The recipes all look fairly simple to make, with most of them not having too long of an ingredient list. The pictures that are included look very appetizing and nutritional facts are included. The recipes utilize various cooking devices, such as grills, pressure cookers, and smokers, which is nice for variety and likely to have recipes that meet the readers preferred cooking method.
I do wish there were more pictures included. I prefer for there to be a picture for every recipe, and this one probably had one for about every five or so. Great pictures, but I wanted to see more. BBQ, by nature, is very heavy in sugar, which is definitely not keto. In place of sugar, the sweet sauces and glaze use allulose. Allulose is a great, keto-friendly alternative, however, it can be hard on the stomach and is also quite pricey, and sometimes hard to find, though many big box stores do carry it now in the baking section. It is not an ingredient I would want to go too heavy on though, so I warning would be nice. My family and I learned the hard way after using too much in a meal and GI issues or not, it can cause quite the gut shock. That being said, I do use allulose and love it, but in moderation. Most of the desserts actually used less sweetener than the sauces and sound amazing!
Overall, I really enjoyed this cookbook and am excited to try out the recipes.

This is a great book if you want to keto-BBQ and not fall off the wagon, per se....it is easy to keep in ketosis with the meat, but it is always the sauces and sides that can trip you up. I am not a bread fan (and definitely NOT a keto "bread" fan) but that "cornbread" may make me become one despite the extremely expensive cost of the almond flour. (Supply and demand means that money, money, money going out of our wallets!)
The recipes are well written and understandable by cooks of all levels and the photos make the food very appealing to myself and other lovers of food out there.
What I especially love about the book is that it uses mostly whole ingredients instead of pre-prepared and packaged foods. I do draw the line at making my own cheese beyond a quickly-made mozzarella, and canning tomatoes but the more "ingredients" you use the better. My one nephew says that I never have any food in my house, only ingredients --- that is why I cook so much. I also refuse to eat or cook with Frankenfoods such as "chick'n" and its 88 ingredients vs. 🐔chicken🐔 having one and cheese that does not come from an animal is udder nonsense!)
As always, I try to find a reason to not rate with stars as I simply adore emojis (outside of their incessant use by "🙏-ed Social Influencer Millennials/#BachelorNation survivors/Tik-Tok and YouTube Millionaires/snowflakes / literally-like-overusers etc. " on Instagram and Twitter... Get a real job, people!) so let's give it 🍖🥩🍗🍔🌭
There's a lot to like in this keto cookbook. The recipes are fairly simple and easy to follow and sound delicious. There's a variety of rubs, sauces, meats (lots of meats), sides and staples, plus some tasty sounding desserts. There are photos for a few of the recipes but not many. Nutritional information is provided for every recipe. Many of the recipes use allulose, which is keto-friendly but causes issues for some people. I try to avoid fake sweeteners and would prefer more recipes that just avoid the sweet taste, and there are some of those here as well. I appreciated the staples like ranch and blue cheese dressing, the white BBQ sauce (mayo based) and such. Recipes are provided for slider buns and hot dog buns as well. I am looking forward to trying a few of the recipes and got lots of inspiration. Recommended.

If you are keto this book is a must have! You will get your moneys worth from the condiment, marinade and dry rub sections alone. This is the perfect cookbook to really help you to be able to stay keto and enjoy a barbecue with friends and family.
I do wish there were more pictures (we eat with our eyes first, the same goes for looking for a recipe to cook) plus the pics weren’t always with the recipes. Other than that this is a really solid cookbook.

Thank you to the authors, publisher, and NetGalley for a copy of this cookbook in exchange for honest feedback. Like many others, I am well-aware of the keto diet lifestyle and actually have adopted a lot of the recipes coming out from this popular craze. I try to stay low-carb for certain dietary requirements that I have due to medical conditions, so I find it useful to add new keto-friendly recipes when I can. In my view, the strength of this cookbook is what can set it apart from others (there are plenty out there right now, even by the same publisher). The strength is in 1) its range of offerings and 2) its applicability. What do I mean by that? What I mean is that this book offers keto-replacements in a way. It takes what we'd eat a lot of the time, especially in the south of the US, and makes it keto friendly, It shows you how to make, for example, sauces and marinades which are usually loaded with sugar. Or take the starchy potato salad, a staple at get togethers, and reduce to carbs. So really you don't have to go out of your way to reimagine things or only eat odd dishes, you can make these to "fit in" the usual offerings or to try a replacement for a dish you usually would eat. Pretty cool! Also, as for the range of offerings, it's pretty decent for the price. It's convenient to have them all together in one book.
As a Texan that eats a keto diet, you can only imagine my excitement when I was sent this ARC. There are so many recipes in this book that I've already made and are on our permanent rotation list. Even if you just buy this cookbook for it's condiment/sauce recipes, you'll be happy. Ranch? Amazing. Tex-Mex Ranch? Holy crap, it's good. Peach Chipotle Barbecue Sauce? Not normally my thing but now it's all I ever want to make.
All of the ingredients can be readily found in your local grocery store. If you live in a rural area that isn't hip to keto specialized items, then you can easily locate the ingredients on Amazon (and probably for cheaper, too!). This cookbook has something for everyone and it's not just limited to things slathered in BBQ sauce. You'll find Banh-Mi Inspired Burgers, Cinnamon Grilled Sirloin (Yes, cinnamon and yes, it's delicious), and the best dang Cauliflower "Potato" Salad I've ever made.
There are two types of Keto-ers in this world: those that are obsessed with anything this author duo publishes and those that haven't yet discovered this author duo. Honestly, you CANNOT go wrong with these keto cookbooks. Being on any diet will always lead to a slump or yearning for cheat days... however, this duo will have you raving about every meal you prepare. You won't even feel like you're missing out on anything because there is nothing to miss!
I’m on keto and always on the look for new recipes this book is excellent especially now that summer is upon us and BBQ season at least I won’t loose out. I would recommend it to anyone that is on keto. The recipe are easy to read and understand
A great book that tells you about Ketosis and gives some great Summer BBQ recipes and ideas! I'm looking forward to trying out the marinades and cooking several of the sides!
Yum... this book has some gorgeous pictures of barbecue with a Keto meal incorporated. All your barbecue favorites from the sauce to the salads in Keto style.
What did I like? This is a very simple book with some gorgeous looking food. If your new to Keto and are looking to still eat well while grilling out this year then this book has all the basics. From rubs to barbecue sauce, grilling meats like steak to burgers, desserts, sides, and drinks. You will find it all here in a beautiful book.
Would I recommend or buy? I’d love a paperback copy of this book. The sauces alone make this a great buy. I imagine most people won’t know the difference if eating keto or not with these great looking recipes. Five stars and nicely done!

The recipes in this book are simple and look delicious. I can’t wait to try them out! I find the hardest part of keto for me is finding recipes that others will enjoy while I don’t have to eat the same thing day in and day out.
I’m getting my keto groove back and this book will help me get through summer and beyond. Many of the condiment recipes will become year round staples and this gal is queuing up the electrolytes as I write out a grocery list to get started.
As a new keto participant, I was delighted to receive this book and found it to be an excellent way to incorporate both delicious meals, but also ones that are nutritious.. There are many wonderful recipes and with barbecue season fast approaching so many of them will become part of my cooking routine.
Particularly happy to see the type of ingredients chosen in the recipe. The rubs and marinades all sound delicious and I am itching to try them soon as we can fire up the grill. My husband also was pleased with the recipes including lots of meat options.
The book presents so many choices from dinners to desserts in an attractive format. I definitely recommend this book for so many obvious reasons.

This is a great book for anyone following a ketogenic or low carb way of eating, featuring a comprehensive introduction to keto together with over 100 recipes covering all your barbecue needs including: dry rubs; brines and marinades; barbecue sauces and glazes; condiments; barbecue chicken and turkey; barbecue pork; barbecue beef; sausages and hot dogs; barbecue seafood; salads; side dishes; drinks; and deserts. The recipes are very clearly presented along with key nutritional information and the very helpful contents and index pages make it extremely easy to browse the full range of recipes and locate your favourites. I would have liked to see photos of each recipe but the pictures which are included are very appealing.
So I have been following the ketogenic diet on and off for the past 2 years, for weight loss purposes and to help my digestion as I struggle with mild IBS. Keto has been a god sent and helped so much, so any new books on the subjects are always of interest to me. I am not a huge fan of that smokey BBQ flavour so was skeptical if I would like this book or not, but was pleasantly surprised some of the recipes in this book are not that. The Lemonthyme Marinade especially is lovely. There are also recipes for condiments, rubs, and sauces which is something you often miss when on the diet as most shop bought items are full of sugar.
I am looking forwards to trying more of the recipes and am sure these will become frequently used in our house. There are meals which consist of a lot of meals but also summer salads and even a few desserts.

This book is amazing! I've been following keto for a couple years, and thought I had a lot of recipes in my arsenal, but this Keto BBQ was packed with flavorful, new recipes, that I'd never heard of before., I am anxious to try all of them! I am a BBQ lover from way back and I would say that this book is great not just for people following keto but for anyone who loves BBQ. The recipes were easy to follow and full of keto friendly ingredients, that would be loved by the whole family. I especially loved the side dishes and breads catagories. The greatest part is whatever kind of BBQ you are into-from Carolina to Kansas City, this book has the sauces and marinades recipes you crave, and can now enjoy while following Keto. Pictures are also awesome and literally had my mouth watering.

As someone who eats on the Keto diet, there were so many things about this cookbook that I liked. On this diet, I am always looking for fun ways to stay within my limits, and this book provides exactly that. Also, my husband who does not eat on this diet also loved the food! I really enjoyed all the dry rubs and condiment recipes that were provided and then incorporated into the recipes. I also really liked how all the nutrition info was broken down, it made it so easy! This cookbook is exactly what every Keto dieter needs this summer!
The perfect book for bbq season! I’m not into keto but I’m always looking for new ways to enjoy bbq.
From dry rubs to Barbecue sauces...this book has it all! Summer is approaching and many of us love to grill but too many of the things we go for and full of sugar and carbs. This is a great resource to be able to enjoy that traditional grill food without knowing you are feeding your body things you will regret later.
Keto on this summer with these amazing recipes...but bring napkins it could be messy.
As a culinary person, when faced with celiac and then going keto, my hopes and dreams dissolved into tears. But thankfully there are books like this which make me feel included. I've learned a lot about it over the past decade and when a new keto book comes out, I'm all over it. And now that it's barbecue season, this book is timely. The authors include brief keto information and tips including ketosis, how carbohydrates are digested and macronutrients.
As a recipe tester, it was fun testing a few recipes prior to reviewing. Amongst them are Memphis Dry Rub (wonderful flavour!), Asian Marinade (excellent on pork tenderloin!), Smoky Bourbon Barbecue Sauce (my favourite so far in the book), Kansas City Barbecue Sauce (oh, my!) and Quick Pickled Onions (gorgeous in the Cauliflower "Potato" Salad!). Others I wish to make are Coke Zero Marinade, Grilled Lime Shrimp Packets and especially Jalapeno Cheddar "Corn Bread" and Hot Dog Buns. Baking keto breads is a bit more challenging than cooking keto so the last two really appeal. But there are also drinks such as strawberry lemonade and cake! Sounds perfect for picnics.
The recipes are simple and flavourful. Keto need not be daunting, thankfully.

This cookbook has a lot of options for people that need or want to maintain a low carb diet through cookout season. There are plenty of rubs, sauces, and dressings included, as well as various salads, meats, and side dishes. Overall, there was a lot of variety.
Due to my dietary needs, there are a few recipes that I won't be able to eat, but there are certainly many that I can't wait to try. I tagged pages in every section, including drinks (strawberry lemonade) and desserts (a delicious looking chocolate cake!). I am really looking forward to making some buns and seeing how that goes.
I think my whole family will enjoy the recipes in this book, which is an added benefit. I don't like the idea of having to cook separate food and pointing out which foods are mine. Typically, it means here is the yummy food for you and this is what I can eat. With these recipes, I can make a whole meal and just let everyone choose what they want without the 'that's my food; you might not like it' warning and still offer a variety of dishes.
The photos that are included are good quality and all look delicious. I would like for each recipe include a photo, but that is just my preference.
This book is amazing! It tells you how to make absolutely everything you need to make delicious BBQ that’s also healthy and keto- and in large part allergy-friendly! Everything from meats and marinades to sides, toppings, sauces and even drinks are inside.
Keto BBQ is a cookbook and recipe guide with lots of keto-friendly barbecue foods by Faith Gorsky and Lara Clevenger. Due out 4th May from Simon & Schuster on their Adams Media imprint, it's 176 pages and will be available in paperback and ebook formats. It's worth noting that the ebook format has a handy interactive table of contents as well as interactive links and references throughout. I've really become enamored of ebooks with interactive formats lately.
BBQ is a beloved niche, including so many delicious comfort foods and knockout flavors. The problem is that most all marinades, condiments, and sauces which are essential BBQ ingredients are absolutely full of sugar and carbs... along with carb bombs like potato salad , breads, buns, and batters. I wouldn't have thought that BBQ was possible on a keto diet. This collection has so many alternatives, tips, and tricks that it -is- possible to stay in ketosis and enjoy reasonable facsimiles of the most carb-laden barbecue treats.
The chapters are arranged logically and accessibly: a solidly informative introduction (why, how, what, keto bbq basics), leads into rubs, brines/marinades, sauces & glazes, condiments (much wizardry to be found here, meats (burgers, kebabs, pulled meat, etc), pork, chicken & turkey, beef, sausages & hot dogs, seafood, salads, sides, drinks, and yes, even desserts.
The recipes have a short description followed by ingredients listed bullet style in a sidebar. Recipe measurements are given in American standard only (and temps are in F). There is a metric conversion table in the appendices. Step by step instructions are clear and easy to follow. Most of the ingredients will be easily found at any well equipped grocery store, some few things might require a health-food store or specialist supplier (allulose, dried butterfly pea flowers, flaxseed meal, and a few others). Nutritional info is included for each recipe and consists of calories, fat, protein, sodium, fiber, carbohydrates, net carbs, and sugar.
Most of the recipes don't include photographs; I would say 20-25% at a rough guess. The photos which are included are beautifully clear and colorful. Serving suggestions are appetizing and appropriate.
There is a huge selection here, and despite the fact that I don't think cauliflower based potato salad will ever be a huge hit with my family, there are a huge number of other sides and salads from which to choose.
Four stars. Well worth seeking out for summer cook-outs (when we can gather again).

Keto BBQ will be a great addition to a keto lover's cookbook collection. It's great a tool for tackling all things summer, barbecuing, and grilling!
It starts with a general overview of the keto diet and quickly moves into the barbecue basics. There's an entire chapter for rubs. Plus a chapter each for brines/marinades and sauces/glazes. Hello summertime!
The book also covers condiments, chicken, beef, pork, sausages/hot dogs, seafood, salads, sides, drinks, and dessert. It's really everything you need for a successful barbecue.
I personally love for a cookbook to be full of pictures and this didn't include quite enough for my taste, However, I'm sure the tasty recipes will make up for what it lacked in visual appeal.
WOW!!!! I have been on the keto diet intermittently for 4 years, and have collected dozens of Keto cookbooks. "Keto BBQ" is my new favorite. The recipes have simple ingredients and are very easy to follow. I can't wait to bring some keto treats to summer cookouts!!!

Very impressed with this keto cookbook! Things I love: very very thorough. I love all the details, all the rubs, the detailed cooking instructions. I enjoy that they have more basic recipes (grilled chicken thighs) along with a bunch of specialty or more unique recipes. Sides and desserts included too! I just wish more recipes had pictures as I am very visual. Overall super impressed and I will buy this for my bookshelf.

This cook book is easy to follow and full of great ideas for BBQ season from the main menu to sides and drinks.
The recipes I'm the most excited to try first are: the Greek Burgers with Tzatziki, Loaded Mashed "Potatoes" (cauliflower), Cheddar Cauliflower Mac and Cheese, Blackberry Coconut Sorbet, and Strawberry Lemonade! Seriously the Sorbet looks especially amazing to go with these warm Spring and Summer days.

I'm not strictly keto but I am doing low-carb again so this cookbook came at the perfect time. From sauces and dressings, to burgers and buns, this cookbook covers it all. And many actually look and sound appetizing! I would love to see more photos, I'm a huge fan of a photo for each recipe, so I know how the end result should look! I'm excited for all of the varieties of burgers and scared to make the hamburger buns. lol.
Great recipes for BBQ and lots of terrific sides. If you thought you couldn't enjoy BBQ on keto, you were wrong.

KETO is my preferred way of eating most of the time. It's what makes me feel the best health wise. So I am always looking for new recipes to try out and keep things "fresh". Bonus, it is Summer now and what better than a cookbook dedicated to BBQ?!
There was a lot of variety, from dry rubs, sides, to desserts, and everything in between. The recipes were well laid out and easy to follow. Nutritional information is included for each recipe. Of course, what cookbook wouldn't be complete without some delicious looking photos. Although, I wish there had been more photos. 🤷🏻♀️ That said, I can't wait to give a bunch of these recipes a try (coffee dry rub??!! Yes, please!!)

BBQ (specifically pulled-pork) and the American-style Barbecue (with all the fixings) is one of my favorite types of food. I could eat it any time of year, but as someone who has to eat low-carb and low-sugar foods for my health, it's often hard to find delicious foods for a barbecue that are also healthy. This book provides so many mouth-watering recipes that are easy to follow and track nutrition. I would recommend these recipes, and this book, to my friends who don't even live a ketogenic lifestyle.
This book is chock full of BBQ recipes that will keep you on a keto diet. From marinades, dressings, side sides, main entrees, desserts to drinks. There is a wide variety of items to choose from. I feel like this is helpful for anyone on keto.

Look, anyone on a diet has a hard time when it comes to parties and entertaining but especially those following the Keto way of life. Summertime is filled with sticky sweet foods that can totally throw a carefully crafted and planned diet out the screen door. Keto BBQ helps those of us with our carefully crafted and tended diets enjoy the summertime fare with the rest of 'em.
The book contains a well-rounded summer fare of salads, meats, side dishes, desserts, and even drink recipes. I am super excited about the sauces provided. The book starts with sauces, like varied bbq sauces, marinades, rubs, etc, and then provides recipes where a few can be blended to create something super delicious sounding.
I honestly cannot say enough good things about the book. The ingredients are simple. The recipes are described in very simple and manageable instructions. The pictures are beautiful. AND, I'm ravenously hungry now.
If you or friends or family are on or going Keto, this is a definite cookbook necessity!
