Some secrets aren’t meant to be kept…

When Grace returns to Abi’s life, years after they fell out at university, Abi can’t help but feel uneasy. Years ago, Grace’s friendship was all-consuming and exhausting.

Now happily married, Abi’s built a new life for herself and put those days behind her. And yet as Grace slips back into her life with all the lethal charm she had before, Abi finds herself falling back under her spell…

Abi’s husband, Rohan, can’t help but be concerned as his wife’s behaviour changes. As their happy home threatens to fall apart, he realises that there’s something deeply unnerving about Grace. Just what influence does this woman have over his wife, and why has she come back now?

A chilling story of guilt and obsession from Anna Kent.

Thank you for letting me read this ARC!

In the beginning, it took me a while to get fully immersed in the book. I was not sure where it was going. About 1/3 of the way into the book, I was HOOKED! I wanted to see what it was adding up to. I needed the ending.

This story is creepy, haunting, and captivating. I am no stranger to twists, but they kept coming! I thoroughly enjoyed this chilling story of a woman battling her own demons. I am excited to see more from the author.

I received an advanced reader’s copy in exchange for an honest review

I loved this one. Very fast paced, had me turning pages as I tore through it – I had to see how it would end. The characters were well rounded and the narrative felt believable. Gave me chills.

Highly recommend this book! This was my first book to read by this author and I can't wait to read more! The characters and the story stay with you long after you finish the book. One of the best books I have read in a long time.

I love a good creepy thriller about toxic best friends and this is a beauty, Abi and Grace went to uni together and when Grace contacts her Abi isn’t sure she wants to be involved again as she is now in a storybook marriage and lifestyle. Of course she does and off we go on a chilling journey with a great unexpected twist. Another winner from Anna Kent.

Captivating story that unraveled slowly and deliciously! I guessed the ending fairly early on but it actually made the story more interesting to me than if it was a WTF moment. I think I just know to expect the unexpected. I really enjoyed the writing! I listened to this one as an audiobook and I loved the male narrator. I loved the female except when she was speaking for the husband. The voice just rubbed me wrong. Still, it’s a 5 star book for sure!

This book was creepy and suspensful and kept me on my toes the entire time. I honestly didn't like any of the characters yet I still found it to be a 5 star read!!
