Scissor Skills Book for Kids is a really fun book that helps kid practice using scissors. It has many types of cute dinosaur illustrations, and varying level of difficulty in cutting them out.

This is a super duper cute and fun book to help those kiddos with fine motor skills and learning to use scissors.

It gives the option (and encouragement) to color in the charming little dinos and then CUT THEM OUT! Kids love to use scissors and cut, and this makes that process even more fun since it's not your important documents or family photos that they're learning to cut with ;-)

Before beginning to cut out the 20+ dinosaurs that they'll color in first, there are a few pages of practice activities to guide them in cutting straight, curved and wavy lines so that they feel confident when they cut out their 'saurs!

Very playful activity book that they'll love!

Brilliant book about scissor skills practice for kids, I actually print some pages for my 5 years old son, he needs a bit practice with a scissor, so this book was a gods send, it offers a right kind of difficulty for children, with cute dinosaurs for them to practice their skills both with colouring and cutting.

I actually think the actual book is even better than an ARC e-book copy, you have work to do every odd page, this means that in the actual book you have the pages only print in one side, and that is really great for us to let our children work without worries of damaging a page by mistake.

I got a free ARC from NetGalley, and this is my honest opinion.

I was excited to review Scissor Skills Book for Kids as a parent and as an experienced educator. This workbook begins with an introduction and guide for parents and caregivers before moving to line cutting skills and then to whole page pictures to color and cut.

The introduction pages for adults were nicely done and a significant improvement over similar titles I’ve seen. These pages explain growth mindset and give sample phrases for how to productively talk to children about difficult tasks, like learning to cut. The dinosaur theme was well executed throughout, even on the line practice pages. The pictures were appealing and my four year old was eager to try some.

I did feel that some of the color and cut pictures were not in ascending order of difficulty as the description says. There were difficult shapes early on and simpler ones towards the end. I think this is fine as long as adults don’t feel obligated to make students work through the pages sequentially.

Overall, I am pleased with this workbook; thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to review it.

Awesome book! My daughter is over the recommended ages but she receives OT for help with cutting and writing so this book was perfect. Practicing lines then cutting and coloring adorable Dino’s to play with. There is also a QR code to get free pages for practice. Highly recommend.

Scissor Skills Book for Kids would be a great resource for little children working on improving their fine motor skills. It's definitely geared more to children who enjoy dinosaurs and there are cute illustrations that they can practice cutting out and coloring.

It starts off easy, having kids cut straight lines, then wavy and jagged but then I noticed that it jumps really quickly to cutting out the different types of dinosaurs. I think it might have been more helpful to have additional simple cutting pages before moving onto the actual dinosaurs.

Overall, young children would find this activity book to be engaging and encouraging (there are cute affirmations after each practice page)! Thank you NetGalley, BooksGoSocial, and Buzzing Bee Press for the advanced copy. All opinions are my own.

This book includes a selection of guides to improve the cutting skills of young children or those needing to improve this ability. It covers the full range of dexterity by combining cutting elements alongside colouring opportunities.

The dinosaur illustrations are fun, with minimal detail, making them ideal for the target audience. As the book progresses, there are tighter turns included offering development in the skill.

It includes a good overview for parents and carers on how to maximise the effectiveness of the book's contents, with examples of how to achieve them, along with a safety notice.

This is a nice book and works well for the intended purpose. It should be noted that there's little to recommend this book over simply printing one's own, but the option is useful to have for many.

This is great for kids who are learning to use scissors. The pages each have a different image for the child to cut and practice on, with different skill levels for kids who are just learning to those with more practice already.

I absolutely loved this activity book! We are a homeschool family so I really love that it includes coloring, cut and paste, and of course dinosaurs. This is a must have for any child that loves dinosaurs. My 5 year old had so much fun working through this book. Thank you NetGalley and Buzzing Bee Press for the advance copy

A great book to help dinosaur loving children develop their fine motor skills. The pictures are varied and appealing, with one-sided pages so the pictures can be coloured and cut out. Includes useful tips for parents about encouraging a growth mindset.

A lovely book with dinosaurs to colour and cut out.
I liked that the cutting skills activities began with patterns of straight, zig-zag and wavy lines before progressing to more challenging activities. I had fun using this resource with a child with Down Syndrome who struggles with fine motor skills and cutting. The fact that it was dinosaur themed was a bonus that sparked great interest.
