’Tis the season for mulled wine, mince pies, and magic under the mistletoe…

Flora loves Christmas more than anything else in the world, so she’s gutted when her Scrooge-alike boss fires her from Deck the Halls Christmas emporium. But now she finally has a chance to follow her dreams – and what better place to start than the home of Christmas?

Before she can say ‘sleigh bells’, Flora’s on her way to Lapland in a campervan-cum-Christmas-shop. She can’t wait to spend her days drinking hot chocolate and taking reindeer-drawn carriage rides, but something Flora didn’t expect was meeting Connor, a Norse god of a man who makes her heart flutter and snowflakes swirl in her stomach. There’s just one problem: Connor hates Christmas.

Can Flora convince Connor of the joys of Christmas – and will she find a festive romance along the way?

The perfect Christmas romance for fans of Debbie Johnson, Holly Martin and Jenny Colgan.

Another fun story in this series. I enjoy the lighthearted plots and fun characters of the van life series.

Grumpy-sunshine. Hallmark vibes. A really nice story with lots of Christmas spirit! I really enjoyed the enemies-to-friends/lovers relationship between Flora and Connor. I also enjoyed Flora’s friends… her BFF in London and the friends she met along the way. Overall, a great book!

Thanks to NetGalley for this ARC in exchange for my honest review. Flora’s Travelling Christmas Shop comes out October 11, 2022.

Let me start off this review by saying, thank you so much to the publishers and Rebecca Raisin for this awesome story!

Woah, if Hallmarks looking for it’s next Christmas movie then this is a story they should check out!! After Flora is fired from another Christmas retail job, and then brutally dumped by her current boo thing she chooses to take a risk. She buys herself a van and decided to head to Lapland in order to open a traveling Christmas shop. Once in the shop she meets a Nordic god, a mean girl and her crew, and a few friends who become family along the way! Floras zany nature though is matched and balanced by the Nordic god Connor, a strict, rule following, non-Christmas believing behemoth of a man. Who seems to always be around to catch Flora when she’s falling, whether that be falling because of her own folly or falling because of something outside of her control. The chemistry between them was both sweet and electric, and a bookish couple I wouldn’t recommend you miss.

My only warning though is that if you chose to pick this book up I hope you love a good slow burn romance because this novel puts the SLOW in slow burn. While the characters are great and quirky and definitely keep the story moving, the romance, which was what sold me to this novel, comes at a real slow pace.

Overall, though this novel was a sweet little Christmas read, and a novel I’d recommend to any and all Christmas romance and Hallmark readers alike!

I received an ARC from Netgalley. Flora's Travelling Christmas Shop, by Rebecca Raisin. Flora is not like other women, she definitely does stuff her own way. Connor is the exact opposite of her. Can Flora convince Connor about the magic of Christmas?

One of my favorite books this year! Unique, fun and festive. Learning about Lapland was enchanting, especially at Christmas time. Not only did I not know about the cozy Van Life lifestyle, I had never read a Rebecca Raisin book! Since finishing this one, I’ve read 3 more of her books. Total fan now. Friendship, struggles and a perfectly satisfying ending. This needs to be made into a movie!

Wow! Rebecca Raisin provides a GREAT Christmas novel! Flora is a zany Christmas fanatic, who has not had the best luck in relationships or finances. When Rebecca decides to purchase a van and have a traveling Christmas Shop she is taken away from the area she knows best and works to meet new people. Flora meets Connor and has a rocky start with him. However after getting to know Connor she helps him to see that people do have the best intentions and that he is worth understanding and believing in the true meaning of Christmas. This was an amazing read, and my interest is piqued into reading more of Rebecca Raisins other works.

Thank you NetGalley for a pre-release of Flora's Travelling Christmas Shop.

I absolutely loved this book. Down on her luck, Christmas enthusiastic Flora goes on the adventure of a lifetime - seeking her own Hallmark movie-like happily ever after. The characters are endearing and the story moves along quickly. I'd love to see this book made into a movie. I highly recommend that you give this book a read.

New cover but a joy to reread. Ty his should be a holiday favorite, Pure holiday fun! This is a whimsical and romantic holiday story to enjoy.

“Can you name all of Santa’s reindeers?” That’s Flora’s surefire way of finding out whether a man is suitable or not for her. Flora has the greatest love for everything Christmas and wants everyone else to have that joy too. The problem is that most men think Flora is just plain kooky and quirky. Who wears Santa or Reindeer onesies when it’s not even Christmas?

When Flora loses her “dream” job of being a cashier in a Christmas shop for being too kind to customers, and then her best friend and roommate takes a job in the states, Flora decides she needs to make a change too. With her love of Christmas, she decides to join the Van Lifers, start a traveling Christmas Shop, and head to Lapland, Norway. Everyone knows that Lapland is where Santa lives. But that Hallmark ending that Flora is looking for will take some doing. First, arriving in the Christmas community in Lapland, Flora in her boisterous and eccentric ways finds that not everything she heard about the friendliness of van life is true although she soon finds friends. Secondly, even being her own boss, Flora has to answer to Connor, the manager of the community who although a hunky Norwegian, is a Grinch. He doesn’t even believe in Christmas and thinks Die Hard is a Christmas movie! With the help of her new friends, Flora makes it her mission to change his mind. She wants to help Conner find the joy and magic of Christmas and win his heart. Flora is looking for that Hallmark ending.

This is such a delightful read, with lots of giggles and at the absurd situations that Flora creates and finds herself in. It’s a true holiday romance about finding that magic again and believing in that joy. You discover that Christmas is more than about all the glittering lights and the shiny tinsel on the tree.

Many thanks to #netgalley #rebeccaraisin #florastravelingvhtistmasshop yo read and review this book.

This is a good book. The two main characters are Flora and Connor. Flora owns a van that she sells Christmas trinkets out of. Connor is the manager of the festival that hosts the Christmas shops. There is an instant attraction between them. They each have trust issues but together they work them out and fall in love.

This was the perfect book and it really got me into the Christmas mood! I loved Flora as a character. She was passionate about the holidays and had the perfect amount of quirkiness. I couldn't stop laughing at the sauna parts because they reminded me of when I traveled to Finland for work and was in for quite the culture shock!

This was my first Rebecca Raisin book and I can't wait to read others.

Does Conner love Flora or is it just an infatuation?

I haven't ever read one of this author's books before.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher and NetGalley. This in no way affects my opinion of this book which I read and reviewed voluntarily.

Flora loves Christmas, but her caustic wit and abrasive personality gets her fired from her job in a Christmas shop. Trying for a complete makeover in her life, she decides to buy a van (camper and shop capable) and heads to Lapland and a Christmas market, hoping for her own Hallmark Christmas experience. When she meets Connor, who looks like a Norse god (but hates Christmas), she vows to herself to remake the man into someone who loves Christmas as much as she does.

This was an entertaining book, seeing Flora try to circumnavigate the rules of the campground while stepping on the toes of another woman who has her eyes set on Connor. The Lapland setting helps bring the Christmas setting to life.

I want to thank NetGalley and the publisher for letting me read and review this book.

Flora loves Christmas - so much that she works in a Christmas shop, has a collection of Christmas onesies and expects her boyfriends to know all the names of Santa's reindeer. She doesn't have the best luck with employment and decides that owning a van that also serves as a portable Christmas shop is a great solution. Flora's trip to Lapland introduces the reader to Finnish traditions (like wife-carrying competitions) as she herself learns about the area and the process of owning a business. Through a slight misadventure she meets Conner without realizing he manages the same Christmas market where she will be for the next five or so weeks. It doesn't hurt that he is a gorgeous mountain of a man, but drat- he is not a fan of Christmas! With the help of some friends, Flora proceeds to make Conner understand the magic of the season. She creates many opportunities for Conner to engage in Christmas activities, and our dear Flora can't help but fall for him. Does it really matter about the reindeer - when Flora has found her Hallmark life?
The quirkiness of Flora is endearing. She keeps Connor on his toes, and he realizes that he has found someone who makes it feel like Christmas every day. The story develops slowly but with a satisfying and tender ending.
Thanks to the publisher Harper 360, author Rebecca Raisin and NetGalley for this ARC.

Flora needs a little Kris Kringle magic. She’s lost her home and job in a few days. Her Bert friend Livvie is her nest advisor and gives her the idea of having a pop up market of all things Christmas in a camper van. Flora jumps on it and off she goes to Lapland where she meets others like her, a mean girl, and the cuties grinch ever named Connor.
I love the concept of camper van life because it’s nothing I would ever Do. Flora is a whimsical, zany girl who is a breath of fresh air. I love this theme in Raisin’s books. I also loved the mention of Diehard being a Christmas movie, because it is!

Flora's Travelling Christmas Shop was a delightful light Christmas rom com. Christmas's biggest fan Flora has trouble holding down a job and is still looking for her place in the world. She decides to take a risk and join the Van Lifers movement to sell Christmas items out of a van at "Santa's true home," Lapland. She meets grumpy Connor along the way and is determined to bring joy to his life by helping him find and believe in the spirit of Christmas.

I loved this sweet story! The characters were great. Flora has massive chaos energy, but she is so charming and really cares about other people. I didn't feel like we got to know Connor very well, but he was a good quiet, organized, stoic opposite for Flora's chaos. The author did a great job of hinting at how Connor was falling for Flora without Connor saying a word. The secondary characters were all great, but it would have been nice to get to know them a bit more as well. I loved the grandparently couple Hanne and Juho!

Connor and Flora's relationship is sweet and a VERY slow burn, but when they finally admit their feelings for each other it is so worth it! It had that big emotional moment that I've been missing in my rom coms lately.

I also found the comparisons to Hallmark movies amusing. As you progress through the story, both Flora's inner monologue and her conversations with her best friend reveal where you are at in the plot by comparing Flora's life to the blueprint of a Hallmark movie. I don't know how others may feel about that but I thought it was entertaining.

Overall I would highly recommend this book if you love sweet Christmas rom coms, grumpy/sunshine, sort-of enemies to lovers, and chaotic FMCs just trying to get their lives together and find where they belong. It has great Christmas atmosphere and a satisfying ending.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for the e-arc in exchange for my honest review!

Flora’s Travelling Christmas Shop by Rebecca Raisin is a story full of Christmas spirit. Flora loves everything about Christmas. She has Christmas clothing, purses, shoes, and pajamas (I want the jammies). When Flora is at her lowest, her best friend brainstorms with her to come up with the perfect job. It also solves Flora’s living situation. She suggests Flora have a travelling Christmas shop. Before you can say jingle bells, Flora is off to Sweden to buy a camper van. She then heads to Lapland to pick up her stock and join the Christmas market. Flora’s new life gets off to a bumpy start. The one person Flora hoped to never see again happens to be in charge of the Christmas market. Will Flora’s story have a happy ending like the holiday Hallmark movies that she loves? Flora has an over-the-top personality. She says what she thinks, dresses creatively, has a tendency to find herself in awkward situations, and she is very focused on Christmas. Flora is kind, compassionate, amusing, spirited, and totally unpredictable. There is humor all throughout the story. I am just amazed at the situations Flora gets herself into. The story is chockfull of all things Christmas related. Christmas trees, ornaments, hot cocoa, wreaths, snow, and so much more. Connor (aka the Viking God) is the exact opposite of Flora. He is a by the rules type of person. He is ecofriendly (a little over-the-top about it) and lacking in the humor department. Connor and Flora clash from the moment they meet (they have a humorous meet cute). I loved the descriptions of Lapland. I could understand why Flora was in awe the first time she witnesses the aurora borealis. It was interesting learning about the camper van shop community. I did feel that some of the repetition could have been eliminated along with the long phone calls between Flora and her bestie, Livvie (they went on for pages). There is mild foul language in the book. If you like to watch romantic comedies, then you will enjoy Flora’s Travelling Christmas Shop. Flora’s Travelling Christmas Shop is a charming Christmas tale with work woes, seasonal nightclothes, Reindeer name requests, a giant gingerbread house, a hot spot in the sauna, and a cheerful Christmas.

When Flora gets broken up with and gets fired from her job within the span of a few days, Christmas obsessed Flora isn’t sure what she is going to do until her best friend Livvie persuades her to live her life like a real life hallmark Christmas movie. Flora takes her advice and decides to follow her dream of moving to Lapland and living the van life and set up a mobile Christmas shop in a massive Christmas market with other van lifers. She quickly makes friends, and a nemesis and even manages to find time for romance with the grumpy guy who runs the marketplace. I am a sucker for a grump and sunshine trope and this filled the bill!
Although I don’t think I could live the van life, the market sounds fabulous and Flora was so much fun! I haven’t read the other books in the series but I will go back at some point and read them.
Thanks to the publishers and NetGalley for this eArc in exchange for my review.

I love all things Christmas and books related. I love the ideal Hallmark movie of where the heroine faces adversity and her heart questions in the same beat. Flora is such a character, but notched up about 20 times to an almost overwhelming degree. In what can only be termed as a millenial life crisis as she nears 30, we find Flora embarking on what could only be described as her life's journey to bring the spirit and joys of Christmas to others, including unsuspecting Connor who is the grinchiest of grinches in Nordic form. Flora's character, and believe me, she's a character, will frustrate an older reader but she is who many of were at that age-questioning our life's journey, exploring options we may not financially or socially agree with but truly seem like adventure to us. Flora finds an acceptance in the Van Lifer community she encounters along her way that provides a familial aspect of her choosing rather than the one she was born into. You see an underlying current of making your own way in this world on your own terms, which is something that we all often strive for, or realize we missed the chance to explore later in life. An enjoyable read, a build up to a rather quick ending but overall would recommend for the holiday season, especially if you are a Hallmark Countdown to Christmas fanatic.

Thanks to Sophia Wilhelm at Harper 360, I was given a copy of Flora’s Travelling Christmas Shop by Rebecca Raisin to review.

Rereleasing on November 15, 2022

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Flora is eccentric and has her own quirks. She will speak her mind before thinking about it, so she has had many failed relationships and not any luck with jobs. Just when she thinks its going to work out with Luke, he dumps her. She is shocked and saddened.

Livvie is her best friend and roommate. Flora lives with Livvie rent free, since her life is so unpredictable. Flora works at a Christmas Emporium, but the only problem is she fired for being a little too gracious with helping customers out, which goes against the store policy. Livvie ends up moving to L.A., but before she moves, she gives Flora the idea to be her own boss by having a pop up Christmas Shop, will Flora be able to get the idea up and running? Will this give her the new start she needs? Will this lead her to a successful relationship? This book will have you turning the pages to find out Flora’s fate!

A unique story with quirky likable characters that makes it fun and entertaining! This book will even have you chuckling at times! A well told story that will leave you feeling satisfied in the end! A great book to add to your Holiday TBR list.
