This Is A Great Devotional!

This would be a perfect way to start having a devotional time together as a couple. The One Step Closer section makes great discussion.

This would make a perfect shower gift, anniversary gift or for your own personal growth in your marriage. The best time my husband and I have developed is to wake up an hour early and read scripture and discuss it over coffee. It’s one of my favorite times of the day! This could be used in the same way.

100 day devotion that we think is a good place to start that daily habit with your spouse. The introduction by David really spoke to us because we started out the same way. We tried nights, lengthy studies but were not successful. And we agree it takes commitment and sacrifice. I say this to let every couple know it can happen.
The devo is light hearted and not demanding. We found it refreshing and laughed at their experiences and fun. Each day is a helpful reminder and experience from the couple. Followed by a very short scripture and some easy questions about your marriage.
I definitely recommend this one if you’re looking for one. This is a good one!

I am always on the lookout for good relationship books and advice. This book was a good start to a book but felt like it was missing a lot. I was reading along and came upon the quote from the editor, "The main point is unclear, and you used too many Bible verses." and I thought, YES! That is exactly the problem. The point is unclear. There are too many Bible verses. I liked the intro. story to each point, there were some good points, but the story stopped before there was actually an aha moment and the follow up ideas were not for me. I found some good nuggets to think about throughout this book and if you're more into devotionals and Bible verses than I am, I think you'd really like this book.

My husband and I are both born-again Christians and have been on a spiritual journey to draw closer to God and to each other. As with many other married Christians, we want our relationship to be God centered so that we can be a blessing to each other as He has been to us individually. These devotions were easy to read along and though not all of them were applicable to us specifically, it was enjoyable to share in the personal revelations and perspectives of David and Lori.

Relationships take a lot of work, effort, patience and copious amounts of love and respect. Sharing this journey with my husband has reminded me, yet again, of the blessing He has given me in this man who walks with me sharing the joys and challenges life brings.

I highly recommend this book to everyone as it can be applied to all types of relationships at all stages of life.
